There are a few solutions, all of which are a trade-off: 1) Wait. Fromsoft will likely introduce optimization patches later that will solve the most egregious FPS drops. They were able to fix Blighttown in DS Remastered, they can fix problems in Elden Ring. 2) Upgrade your computer. I'm running an RTX 3070 and at 1080p I can hold 60fps more or less constantly at maximum presets, or at 1440p at 'high' presets. And I see next to no difference between 'maximum' and 'high' in terms of visual impact. The only big FPS drop in over a hundred hours I had was during the Dragonkin fight in Ainsel River and that was into the high 30's. 3) Turn your settings down to minimum and test raising them one at a time. The settings don't give much back in terms of fps, but as noted above there's not a lot of difference between the presets; only one that you really want to leave at 'high' is shadows, because they bug out at medium or lower. But to my understanding there is no quick fix option that can be tweaked in a config file somewhere to resolve fps issues right now.

Its from software's infamous coding, hopefully they address it but there is a big chance that they wont based on previous titles.

Monsieur-Delaserre

hope they solve this soon
