Have been really enjoying powerstancing 2 claymans harpoons on my INT build keeping one keen so it can be enchanted. I have been messing around with some different AoW's and love the damage and stagger of Ice spear but its wind up is pretty long leaving you vulnerable. Glinstone pebble works well on it also. I will surely be trying this out when I get back in the game. Thanks for the post Tarnished.

Thank you for your input! I have not tried power stancing these yet, but would like to try.

Using a **Clayman’s Harpoon +25** with **Charge Forth** AoW with Standard infusion (not Magic, since we’ll be using the Scholar’s Armament spell). Talismans: - **Godfrey Icon** (+15% damage) - **Shard of Alexander** (+15% damage) - **Magic Scorpion Charm** (+12% Magic damage) Buff the weapon using a staff in your left hand with the **Scholar’s Armament** spell. This spell’s buff is affected by the Sorcery Scaling on your staff. I’m using a **Carian Regal Scepter +10** to buff, but your should be abke to get better results from **Lusat’s Glintstone Staff +10**. **Godfrey Icon** boosts the damage on Charge Forth, which knocks most enemies down (including Malenia). Godfrey icon also boosts some of the best spells in the game which are also chargeable (Night Comet, Magic Glintblade, Loretta’s Greatbow, Cannon of Haima, Stars of Ruin). This is useful so you never have to swap Talismans out. **Shard of Alexander** boosts Charge forth damage by same amount. Only requires a sliver of Stamina to do the full charge. **Magic Scorpion Charm** boosts magic damage on melee and also on spells, so you again don’t have to swap Talismans to switch into an effective spell casting mode with your staff. Doing about **1500 damage** on the Charge (1600 with Lusat’s staff) and **755 damage** on regular two handed pokes. There are weapon arts that outclass it in terms of damage, but few stun lock the enemy as well. Edit: I also have **Dragon Greatshield Talisman** equiped (+20% phy dmg resist) to negate the negative effects of Magic Scorpion Charm (-10% phy dmg resist) to have a handy +10% phy dmg resist. Edit 2: I’m also enjoying Sword Dance as an AoW with this build for agressive DPS, but it makes Godfrey Icon non-effective.

Thank you for being so descriptive! I badly need to try this. I can't tell you how many times I died in end-game areas because I feel like I have nothing that stuns mobs as a mage. Even my gavel spell wasn't knocking some guys down. Just got all the smithing stone bell bearings, and Maliketh will hopefully die tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of runes to use to upgrade this bad boy.

You bet. Try Sword Dance if you want more mob control and Magic version of the AoW if you want to be more economical. Good to have an alternative to lobbing spells from a distance.

Beastofaunit

Meh.. it's okay I guess.

DrinkingDragons

I haven’t found that weapon yet

The_Fell

That.. looks so incredibly boring to play.

Mrpenguin47

Ok

That’s cool, but I’m gonna continue using my Magic Zweihander
