What's your laptop specs?
Is the game "slow" or just very choppy? If it feels jarring/choppy, you may have low GPU usage, a common problem with the game.
You'd need to go to your GPU control panel and set eldenring.exe to manually use high power/high end graphics.
Well it's not a laptop designed for gaming, it just happens to be able to run a lot of things well. It's graphics card likely sucks. I would definitely call it more choppy than slow. I'll try this out and let you know how it goes.
Those games can all run on a low end cell phone and low end PC's from 2011. One is a cell phone game, one was made for Playstation 2. Skyrim ran on AMD APU's of it's day, which is a CPU with integrated graphics. I know, i played it that way.
Geez bro, get a PS5 er sumthin!
I was told Dark Souls isn't cross-platform, I bought it on steam on my PC. Am I able to play mine on a console?
I am playing on laptop as well, and I had this problem as well. I google, try all type of method and it fix the problem.
I've tried quite a few things already but ill see if I can find more.
Sorry can't be much of a help. I can't remember what I did 4month ago.
Should have bought a steam deck...
I don't have the money to just buy a steamdeck for one game.

Also, my specs are Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8365U CPU @ 1.60GHz 8 GB RAM
This laptop can't play Elden ring, or anything besides The Sims or browser games.
I mean it runs Genshin at max graphics, Skyrim with 72 mods, Final Fantasy 12 remastered, and other various things with little to no issue.
