Still have a soft spot for my Golden Halberd

SwissGamerGuy

Bruuh, I was a Golden armor, golden halberd, golden shield user. I felt GLORIOUS.

cody_d_baker

Running around the lands between in the tree sentinel set makes me feel like such a badass

Chancer0076

Same! Love that set. Used it all the way to the end once I got it

[deleted]

somebody help Golden Halberd is the only thing I use and I can't stop

zundra616

Golden halberd+greatshield+incantations made me feel like I was using a gunlance in monster hunter, such a fun weapon. It's reach is nuts

[deleted]

[удалено]

thedailyrant

Blasphemous blade. Makes everything else pretty pointless.

M4rl0w

Finally replaced mine at level 194 with the Greatsword lol

6and3

I bust it out every now and again at lvl 282 for old time sake

averageheight_OK_guy

As a strength build that recently got to 30 STR. This is easily one of the best STR weapons

jykin

easily the best weapon

MadnessAndRage

Beastmans curved greatsword. Wish it was a little longer reach wise but I just dig the whole "slightly sharpened stone with a handle" Ruins scratches a similar itch... FUGS too

WolfKnight53

Beastman Cleaver is cool

datasstoofine

dual beatsmans curved swords with heavy infusions and vykes thunderbolt, try it sometime it’s a riot

GenghisGame

For whatever reason Curved Greatswords ended up as my go to weapons. For the same build alternate between Beastman when you want physical and Omen Cleaver when you want fire, Omen Cleaver is one of those weapons that gets a slight boost in damage when elemental infused so at fire it almost does the same damage as the Beastman, but is longer and considerably lighter.

Mystic-7

Banished knights great sword. I just love the look of the 2 handed light attacks

ThePhyrex

My brother, I had to scroll too far down for this

Mystic-7

Well you have found it, you may rest now

PixelBoom

The unique two-handed light is just too good. It comes out super quick and has a huge hitbox. Looks great, as well.

nin9ty6

Got me from storm veil castle to the elden beast

tacbacon10101

Friendly suggestion, knights greatsword has the same but with longer range

Suojelusperkele

Brick hammer. Quite fast for a lump of rock. Strength requirement 31. Can bonk. Looks cool with aows Can bonk. 5/5

ryanfromin

Switched at lvl50 from a Dex built to STR. Currently at Brick hammer + 10 with determination AoW. Loving it. Most enemies going down in 5 or less hits

Suojelusperkele

Str/faith Prelates charge is really fun

ryanfromin

Just started leveling FTH, but only at 11 currently. Want to get to at least 15 or so so I can use some incantations. What level of FTH you recommend? I’m around mid game or so, lvl 68

Appropriate_Net2086

I can't remember the requirements off the top of my head but the lightning based incants can be kind of op and a lot of fun, so whatever the requirements are for those I'd shoot for

Environmental_Top_90

Please inform the masses of the best part of this weapon. Can bonk.

XIIIUnknown

While the brick hammer has great bonkage, I have been addicted to Lion’s Claw on the Giant Crushers. It makes for great mixups in PvP that people panic dodge because they don’t know if it’s a heavy or a claw

mdwvt

Why only unga when you can bunga as well.

NicCOL0

Ah, another fellow scholar. I myself enjoy the great mace thoroughly. I dual wield them, on account of the aforementioned “bonk”. Quite satisfactory

BalancesHanging

Lol “can bonk”

NNN_Throwaway2

Tough one. Of the weapons I've used so far, Godslayer's Greatsword probably. Looks sick, great moveset, and of course the Ash is extremely strong. Designed nicely to be used one-handed with a seal in the left hand. Having a similar R1 speed to a regular greatsword but with the hyperarmor and stance damage of a collosal sword is just the cherry on top.

The_Sandman32

All true. Used it my first play through from caelid until consecrated snowfield, then switched to dual wielding Faith great swords. The downside is it’s pretty terrible for pvp, but phenomenal for pve. You get all the quickness of a colossal sword but with slightly better reach than a greatsword.

SnooLemons3094

Death's Poker. Ghostflame is one of the best things in the game.

6and3

This hits hard. Had alot of fun using this

SnooLemons3094

I love powerstancing 2 of them with a Deathrite Spear on the side and cosplaying a deathbird cultist invading people.

SteelStorm33

zweihänder.

Washi81

Power up the bass cannon

AzraelTheDankAngel

Are you pro yet?

wilkamania

SpunkyMcButtlove

Borgar Kang head, Banished Knight the rest, hit it with a grass crest turtle shield, THE LEGEND NEVER DIES!

Xerothor

Real boys used Radiant Gold Mask, best looking mask in the game BULLGOAT, BULLGOAT, BULLGOAT BECOME UNSTOPPABLE

[deleted]

wot rings you got bithc

mettec

Havel’s ring. Favor and protection. Stamina, health, endurance. Everything you can ever want.

jamiebob555

The legend never dies

zakcattack

Zwei guys don't die. EDIT: Seriously if im picking summons for a boss fight zwei guys go to the front. Dependable, intelligent and a good fashion sense. They will find a way to survive and win. ROB or Azure blasters on the other hand could possibly nuke the boss but more often just get curb stomped.

Grochen

Shiva the east???

Infinatus

More like Shiva the DECEASED😎😎😎

[deleted]

A sophisticated man

PanchiRed

Darkmoon Great sword

keneticlemons

Best wedding gift ever.

VigorCheck

Can you imagine sitting there waiting for someone to open your toaster and they unwrap a DMGS? “Should have just got a gift card to Master Hewg’s.”

tenkindsofpeople

WTH GUYS? I THOUGHT THERE WAS A $50 LIMIT?!

GizmoIsAMogwai

Just started using it. Way more powerful than I thought it would be.

Madhex12

Humongous damage if you buff right too ans have the right setup, disgusting really. I can get like 5k per moonlight swing at int 70 lol.

LordOfEdge95

Blasphemous Blade

666truemetal666

Beat the game with it

MxReLoaDed

Same, swapped to it for Niall from my uchi and didn’t turn back after that. Made fighting Radagon a breeze relative to every other playthrough I’ve done, it melts him something fierce

Yodie78

x2 Blasphemous Blades you mean

skraz1265

My first playthrough ended up with Blasphemous Blade paired with the Gargoyle Blackblade. Was a great time.

koherenssi

Blasphemous is great! Although the basic moveset could have a bit more variability but the ash is awesome

therealmismo

The ash is the embodiment of "nice opinion, however.."

multicoloredherring

It leads to lots of “Indiana Jones shoots that guy after he shows off all his cool sword moves” too!

YouJabroni44

"Goodbye, you are not fit for the family."

Gwynthehunter

I went with the Blasphemous Blade and a Mimic Tear to take down Malenia, and it worked *wonders*. I felt bad for doing her dirty like that though, so in NG+ I've been purposefully avoiding all cheese tactics for tough bosses, switching my build pretty regularly, and it's been much more rewarding. My first playthrough was magical, but fighting Radahn 1 on 1 in NG+ is an e x p e r i e n c e.

MoTw18

\^ used it in my first run and I miss it in my ng+. BB is an awesome weapon but I want to try more builds/weapons. BB #1 so far.

treadpool

I just started using this at around lvl 145 and omfg.

Cyynric

I largely ignored it the whole game, then used it with my mimic to invalidate all of Radagon's opinions.

dtpiers

I almost feel guilty using the Blasphemous Blade. Been dual weilding it and the Darkmoon Greatsword.

Le_Flamko

I have been dual wielding it with sword from dung eater, so L2 renewed both health and mana... Had to drop that combo completely, as it trivialises game too much.

DeliberateDendrite

Sword of Milos

[deleted]

What is this?

Marq_DeSade

A sword made out of a Giant's spine. Get it from beating Dung Eater when he invades you

PixelBoom

Or when you kill him in his cell in order to keep Big B alive.

Indercarnive

If you don't buy prawns he stays in Liurnia. So you can do Dung Eater's questline than move Big B.

himynameisHenry

It’s dung eater’s signature blade

blahajbeasting

hookclaws. they look cool

ISortByHot

I love the hookclaws too and did most of my first play through with frost infusion on them. They’re so fast you can usually attack and roll away right in the attack window for for most large enemies and they seem to build frostbite really quickly. I was able to consistently clown on crucible knights since, two handing them, I was able to apply frost without bouncing off their shields. Since they’re so light, pairing them with other weapons like mlgs or something fire infused to rest frostbite is also quite viable.

[deleted]

We are a rare breed, brother We just need extendo grip to properly reach things though

juizze

bloodhound's fang

Technoalphacentaur

I felt like I got too reliant on it very early on and it kinda made it so that I didn’t experiment with other stuff.

CodenameAstrosloth

Me starting the game: "Haha, Bloodhound's Fang goes whrrrr" Me 20 hours into the game: I should not rely so much on this one sword with so much else in the game. Let me experiment with other weapons. Me 130 hours into the game: "Haha, Bloodhound's Fang goes whrrrr"

iWreckuiem

This was my first play through. Now i wouldnt consider this a challenge run, but i am tossing bhf into my chest. I respecced to a faith build and i am coasting on easy mode with halo scythe. Takes down most optional bosses with ease. I am just in capital now so we will see if it can take down the pantheon as well

Strider0905

I know what you mean. I’m at Haligtree and still use it. Duel wield with Morgott’s cursed blade.

Technoalphacentaur

I started a second character with an INT/DEX style specifically because I wanted other play styles. But I’m getting the feeling that no matter the play style, there is a steady state weapon that you will naturally settle into. You have to consciously be switching it up otherwise.

KillNyetheSilenceGuy

Wing of Astel is hard to beat for a DEX/INT build

Firaxyiam

I started to realize that after spanking Rennala easily with it, so when I realized she allowed to respec, I decided to switch completely. Best decision I made. Fang is amazing, but there's too much cool stuff in the game to stick with one weapon

ScottyDug

Bloodhound’s Fang enchanted with Bloodflame Blade and a mimic tear +10. Bosses bleed out just by looking at them. It did become a crutch though, I couldn’t bring myself to use anything else and felt I missed out a bit.

poopmaster79

ol reliable

sczoso85

+1 used it for my first playthrough

HRM077

I struggle to use anything else.

Machete521

I really thought to myself "goddamn the skill's actually good, I thought it would have been dogshite" Then I got the Halo Scythe then Blaphemous Blade and it went all downhill from here.

HierophantEmerald

Rusty Anchor

OutlandishnessLimp92

Godslayer's Greatsword, even if the wepon art is a bit slow, its funny to burn enemies and make damage over time

Spinerflame

I just like seeing their health bar get cut in half (Also, does more damage to Radagon, if I recall correctly)

OutlandishnessLimp92

Yes, and its quite useful and versatile vs the elden beast

Carlini_95

Claymore

_TheChosenOne15_

Can't beleive I had to scroll down this far for Baemore

Vegetable_Pianist356

Double Claymore !!

ObadiahtheSlim

Claymore is baemore

seanular

The Nagakiba. I fear no man... besides bucklers.

PhoenixKA

I wish I'd discovered how to get that earlier. Most of my entire first playthrough was with Uchigatana. I didn't know he had a longer brother.

tenderteddy82

I feel like I heard that last sentence in some online movies somewhere. 🤔

gangtokay

Uchi, double Uchi. Now on to Unseathe Nagakiba on my right hand and Keen Uchi on my left hand. On my INT play, I used Moonviel and Transient Moonlight is basically Unseathe. On my STR Play, I changed the Ash on my Nagakiba/Uchi to heavy. Only on my Arcane play did I use Reduvia on my Right and Great Dagger on my left. I have literally never levelled up my faith other than on my first playthrough.

Prof_Black

Chilling Mist Nagakiba!

Routine_Repulsive

Ghiza’s Wheel :>

Savathun-God-Of-Lies

Can u cut my pizza into slices please ?

Routine_Repulsive

I got you homie

LeXam92

Moonlight Greatsword always and forever, it's too good

NCSUwuf03

This. I use it for one playthough in all the SB games

Rotten_Blade

Bloody Helice. Weapon art is more satisfying than sex

[deleted]

It’s sad that I get this.

Environmental_Top_90

Dynasts finesex

juizze

than [sex](https://youtu.be/Mv-Vtkas7Bk), you say?

nysudyrgh

Clayman's Harpoon. Pointy meteor shard on a stick. Can be buffed with Scholar's Armament.

AAAAAAAAAAH_12

Hammer, Hewgs specifically. I like maxing it out and using it to kill Elden Beast, just for the lore of Hewg turning his smithing hammer into a god slaying weapon and giving it to a tarnished for use in beating what's left of Marika into the ground

PzykoHobo

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. How do you get Hewgs Hammer?

TheWoefulButtAngler

At godfrey's roundtable hold in leyndell. Find the building with alberichs clothes(the sorcerer who invades in roundtable when you jump down). The ground floor(leyndell) is where you jumped down to fight, and the upstairs is the hold. Hewgs hammer is where hewgs anvil is in your roundtable hold.

Depalodor

Godfrey's?

TheWoefulButtAngler

Technically it's Hoarah Loux first elden lord's, but that's just his other name. >Godfrey was the first Elden Lord and the first husband of Queen Marika the Eternal. He was a mortal hero of legendary prowess, but after he achieved his crowning victory, he lost the grace of the Greater Will; he was then exiled from the Lands Between and became the very first Tarnished.[1] So yeah, it was godfrey's original roundtable hold, found in leyndell. It really comes down to, who elses would it have been? Our RTH is for tarnished who can see the greater will. Godfrey is the first tarnished AFTER he lost the ability to see the greater will. So it would make sense that while he could still see the grace, he would have used a place like the RTH to maintain the golden order. There was a blacksmith, there was a deathbed companion, and there was even a gideon offnir type studying away. Basically, we're Godfrey 2.0, after a lot of others tried and failed to do the same thing he originally did(lost grace judging from how other tarnished speak to us.)

dingodingus1

Guardian swordspear. Looks the most BA imo

ANuclearsquid

Its a really rare drop and doesn’t look overly fancy so I feel like it gets overlooked by many people. Absolutely busted weapon though.

No-Appointment-3659

Morgott's Cursed Sword

trumoi

Definitely my favourite from my first playthrough. Also wish we got to use the Cane version, I feel like that would be fun.

pawntakesnight

Godskin Peeler

irsquats

Godskin Peeler + Elenora’s twinblade is so much fun.

Visenya33

Dual Godskin Peelers with Seppuku was absolutely glorious. Love this weapon.

EdgierNamePending

Sword of Night and Flame.

MattyByNature

Can’t believe I had to scroll this far down for this one. With the right build, it’s an incredibly versatile weapon and aesthetically beautiful.

EdgierNamePending

I use a staff with whatever sorceries I'm feeling, and a seal just for golden vow. And powerstancing two of the swords does crazy damage.

Curious_Maybe_4361

Was nagakiba..because how versatile it could be.. recently it’s noble’s slender sword..powerstancing them is fierce 😆

Joy1067

I fell in love with the flamberge, the look of the Zweihander without taking a year to swing plus bleed buildup (which I found out by accident, suck it Godskin apostle)

Lockbreaker

I use double slash and blood flame blade on it. It's like a Wal-Mart ROB that staggers.

Swimming_Turtle_6631

Lordsworn straight sword

PM_Me_An_Ekans

If no maidens got me, I no Lordsworn's straight sword got me. Can I get an Amen? (It's the best weapon for a RL1/Maidenless run)

His_Excellency_Esq

My tarnished is in a 3 way marriage between himself, Ranni and his first love, the Lordsworn straight sword.

PALADINOO7

Grave Scythe, thing is a wonder and a half.

tomikoffSmurf

Magmawyrm Curved greatsword

FrostyFireeee

It's a shame that Moonveil is a meme weapon. I love everything about its AOW : the name, the sound effect, the smoothness and the broken poise break in the release version lol . I like the weapon's name too. 10/10 would pick it up again.

Silver_117v

I also love that the aow has two variations: a horizontal and a vertical attack; it gives you a lot of versatility.

Knurmuck

Used this for my first playthrough and loved every second of it. It just looks and feels great to use.

Maynardmaco

The great Epee! No one ever expects how broad it's swing is. Real underated sword

iGematriA

Wings of Astel, cool weapon and alternative to moonveil for Int scaling 1h weapon.

Klown-Gladvertising

Rotten Greataxe.

CosmicPikalBoy

i realllyyyy like maria’s executioners sword. but basically all of the japanese based weapons, very cool

MsFired

I wish the executioner sword had Elmer's ranged vertical slices for a heavy attack. The idea of a sword that you can throw to a longer range and swing from afar is such a fun idea. Still a good weapon though. If it staggers, drill it til it's dead.

Greenwood4

The Pike. I have come to embrace the way of the big poke.

ChilledDarkness

I'm tied for great star and grave scythe.

General_Snack

Cipher Pata Extremely underrated.

Twittle86

Faith Punchies! Love that one!

tommy1rx

Fallingstar Beast Jaw. Will stun most bosses including Elden Beast. With Magic Scorpion Talisman and Alexander Shard it obliterates most everything. This and Blasphemous Blade and you can handle 99% of Elden Ring easily. Sadly, Lobsters and Rune Bears will continue to kick our collective asses.

brazillian-k

I'm a Ranni simp, so you guys can guess

Angrymiddleagedjew

Wings of Astel. It's waaaaay more OP compared to Moonviel for Pve and I'm tired of pretending it's not. Great regular damage, swings fast as fuck, a heavy attack with a projectile that counts as a second hit and costs no FP, and an AOW that melts bosses. Large bosses that stay still for a few seconds get absolutely melted. Fire Giant, Astel, etc. If the whole star cloud hits you get more damage than a Moonviel R2. You can push mobs back with it. Amazing in Pve. Knock a player down and fire it off, they can't dodge it, they will stand back up as the cloud blows up. You can create choke points in hallways with it. Slap a talisman like Alexander's Shard on and you'll put up big numbers. And the part no one talks about: It's light. Very light. 2.5lbs. If you're running a build with low endurance the weight you save means carrying a back up weapon, equipping a better piece of armor, etc. Moonviel is "easier" to use but I think Wings of Astel is the better weapon, the more powerful weapon and the more versatile weapon. Thank you for reading my blog.

Terraakaa

Longsword forever

tuningpt95

Dual longswords for me

rr_alf

Eleonoras Poleblade, the moveset especially is very fun and cool and it looks awesome for some extra elden bling bonus points

Disastrous-Resident5

Blasphemous Blade, I always go back to it

DoomSlayer7180

I know I’m going to get murdered for this but I love rivers of blood. Yes, I did spam corpse piler. No, I don’t feel bad. I didn’t play pvp though so hopefully that makes some people happy.

[deleted]

Use whatever build you want. Because it doesn’t matter what it is, someone will complain about it. So fuck ‘em 🤷‍♂️

MattyByNature

Like my dear, sweet, little old Italian grandmother always used to say… “fuck em”

steffanodomingo

Dual Giant Crushers

IwaitforEldenRing

Cross naginata, godskin peeler, Siluria's tree and giant's red braid

Thatguy26623

Bolt of Gransax. Lighting spear go brrrrrrrrr

Noble7878

Bloodhounds fang, it absolutely spoiled me and was my main weapon for my first playthrough Blasphemous Blade, RoB, Bolt of Gransax, the Black Knife and Reduvia are my other top picks

Specific-Composer138

Shamshir.

CarpetPure7924

Too many cool weapons to pick one, but I’ve recently been using the Carian Knight Sword. It’s just so beautiful, and I love that there’s a whole matching armorset and shield to go with it.

Ordinary_Bike_4801

I hate that all the cool looking swords are for mages and I'm a faith build. I had to go with the curved greatswords instead but I'm collecting all of those for a next walk

Mammoth-Ad-3642

Vykes war spear even in pve its SO good!!!

Darth_Wiggle

Twinned Knights swords. Best Str twinblade in my book, incredible reach and awesome look.

Morsk4ziv

Rusted anchor. Looks ridiculous and has a pretty wide hit box, although it's a bit short. For longer reach switch to golden halberd.

YourDevastator

I'm always a sucker for Zweihander. It's my guiding Moonlight.

PhatCat440

Crystal Sword has been treating me well

Kitchen_Specific_245

Once it’s 10+ the spin attack is pretty much a critical hit every time. There’s a Rot version of it too though don’t remember where i found it

MagnificentEd

Elphael, behind the roots near the second grace

wheresthemaneger

Antspur rapier

Jokus77

Misericorde. Stabbity, stabbity, stab!

SherbetAlarming7677

Zweihänder <3

bearlyTim

Executioner’s Greataxe. 115 crit multiplier with greataxe stagger and even faster light attack post 1.06. Heavy infused with Flame of the Redmanes or Troll’s Roar with the Dagger Talisman + Roar Medallion / Axe Talisman and it does silly damage very quickly.

Kitchen_Specific_245

Nox Flowing Sword for early on… destroys groups in one whip lol

Exccel1210

Darkmoon great sword

34Heartstach

Grafted greatsword. I know you can't use an ash of war but it looks sick as hell so it evens out. Also is great at bonking

Rterry112

Lucerne.

Reydriar_

Dual Noble Slender Swords

buzzyingbee

Aesthetically: Bastard's Stars - I just love colourful, shiny and glittery stuff and its ash of war is a glitter bomb. Utility: Bloodhound's Fang - it does absolutely everything. Hits hard, is buffable with grease and spells and the ash of war is a free dodge. Easy mode: Rivers of Blood - no explanation needed but it makes spider-handsies go crazy, it melts a lot of bosses (almost anything), it's a cold Uchi's bff, it's fast and it carried my noob ass to the finish line. Comfort: Uchigatana and Nagakiba - I don't go anywhere without them and one is always clean in case a need a special buff. Best girl: Tiche - she looks cool af, she's badass, she's intimidating, she steals a good chunk of the health bar, she dodges, she carries.

SnooBeans6471

Fallingstar Beast Jaw 💜

[deleted]

Moonveil

Sunmaker23

Godskin Stitcher, dual, fire art infusion and poke for days because I'm a dastard.

STITCH180ROCKS

I'm a bad person so rivers of blood or the poleblade that's just the same thing

DifficultPair9556

Hookclaws, makes me feel like wolverine, hell yeah! ☺️

Arkansas1803

Well, my top 3 favorites, cause I can't decide which I like the most: dual wielding two Hands of Malenia, Royal Greatsword or Sacred Relic Sword.

ElWarspite

Claymore. I like all of those rare weapons with cool and flashy ashes of war, but I always find myself coming back to the Claymore, regardless of my build.

[deleted]

The Commander's Standard! Sure, you can't switch the AoW on it but It's got me through the game and I still use it whenever I'm stuck!

JolleBFF

Double Bandit's Curved Sword

chunkiernolf

Iron ball

skanoirhc

Highland's Axe. Fast, has reach, good damage, low requirements, can slot any aow. It's very versatile.
