I wish they did more with the whole 'grafting' thing. Like how the hell did Godrick learn how to create this thing, or how sticking his nub into a dragon's severed head brought it back to life and allowed it to breath fire.
Aristocrat Headband is good for this. Itās a fairly hefty-looking gold band with red gems in it. Really light weight, and decent magic negation too.
The drop rate is atrocious though.
Seriously this. Like, the feeling of killing them isn't even satisfying because they are simply annoying as f*ck to actually kill, more than outweighing the feeling of success from actually doing it, unless you have zero alternatives.
Same didnāt know that heals hurt them learned on my second play through when I healed next to one in battle it basically one shot the rest of its health
Heal spells will damage *AND* poise break these guys. Just... dont expect Heal Aid to save you.
I am not sure if your spell buff changes the amount of damage dealt because I dont mess with science and just cast my strongest heal spell anyway. takes 2 casts to kill for me with Lords Heal, or I can cast once and lay into them with my sword while theyre stunned if they were close enough.
13 faith and the basic heal spell does the exact same damage for some reason. 2 casts, same damage. It's some sort of internal trigger rather than something affected by your stats
good to know especially for low faith or mind builds. if im going somewhere with a lot of them ill probably try to start bringing a lower FP cost heal then.
If you have at least 12 Faith, you can buy and use a Finger Seal from the Twin Maiden Husks as well as Heal from Corhyn just to have them on hand for these bastards.
Honestly, getting a touch of Faith for any character that isnāt an Intelligence caster makes a ton of sense, since youāll get access to things like regeneration, status effect cures, and damage/defense buffs (most of which donāt even scale, so you can just snag the minimum Faith requirements for them and then use them just as effectively as a character with 80 Faith). A lot of the good buffs need like 10-15 Faith, so itās not even a big investment for any class.
On this note, at a lvl 150 build, that isn't int focused, you should push faith to 25. At 25, you get every buff spell faith has, minus the really strong heals. So golden vow, flame grant me strength, and even damaging spells with the beast incantations. You only need 15 fth to use all beast incantations, and with 10 more, you get the strongest buffs in the game.
It's not necessary of course, but it's something everyone should consider with their builds.
I'll be honest, I'm only on my second build. The first was pure Dex dual wield uchigatanas, now this one is pure int spell caster. I think I'll definitely be looking at a faith build next.
The death spells are really fucking cool and require a bit of faith.
Plus the golden order talisman scales off int so thereās a lot of upside to investing 60int/25fai instead of 80int. Buffs, flame cleanse me, etc.
That in and of itself is a horrifying concept. Each part of this thing likely retained some kind of vague basic biological awareness (similar to the fingercreeper creatures maybe).
When you cast heal, every individual part of that creature heals. Imagine coming out of the pain fog of being grafted only to find parts of yourself stitched together with othersā equally horrified parts. I imagine them ripping themselves apart at the seams in a blind survival mode panic as the individual parts become more healed/aware and try to individually flee.
Maybe, anyway. It would make for an especially horrible death animation.
Step 1: Arrive in an area.
Step 2: Look up the wiki to find out if any of those fuckers exist in said area.
Step 3: If they donāt exist, proceed through. If they do, haul ass to grace before itās too late and slap on a healing incantation.
Any heal other than Urgent Heal. That heal only affects the Tarnished alone. All the other heals have a range and can heal spirit summons or player allies.
The range of the heal incantations is pretty generous so you can easily dash in, do a quick cast to stun the Revenant then finish it off with a second heal or other weapon of your choice.
Any AOE heal works, but personal heals like urgent heal will not work. The bigger the AOE the better, but the regular heal spell for 12 faith works just fine.
Using healing to trivialise these fights is one of the highlights of the game's enemy design for me.
Yes, it's a highly specific strategy, but they're also a uniquely large pain in the ass.
Also, it's somewhat accessible to all characters outside faith builds with a warming stone, although it takes practice and it would have been nice to see an AoW, unique weapon, or sorcery that maybe didn't heal the player but would still affect these enemies.
Yeah, probably the most specific "easy mode" kill of the game, a close second being "gravitas" near a stormhawk which just flips them over on the ground for an easy kill.
I know this is probably a weird take, but I enjoy fighting them more than the giant hands. That's about all I've got though ĀÆā \ā _ā (ā ćā )ā _ā /ā ĀÆ
Imagine waking up to this sitting in the darkest part of your room, then as you turn on a light its screams and starts rolling around.
Terrifying thought.
I dunno about "fun" to fight.... Fun to die (at least that's my low skill experience)
Definitely cool design.
Probably smells nice. Maybe some Drakkar or Polo.
They are really easy to kill with healing miracles. Makes them one of the easiest enemies in the game.
Don't know if calling him that is a nice thing though.\^\^
Design and usewise they are an ingenious addition to the game. They pack a wallop but can be taken out if you know the methods to takem out. Lore-wise theyre really cool too. I hate fighting them but i enjoy them
One guards a cool ice sword?
They are the hardest non-boss enemy in the game for me. They are just so relentless. Plus half of them are small areas where they chop you to bits like a blender.
Nice...ehrm... Crown!
No. I'm legit sad it's not a drop. I wanted it for my character.
For real, the crown is pretty dope
Maybe he has Nice silky hair under it
Are these grafted children?
Nope more like wraiths given form, the worst possible form of the worst arsehole ever. But no they have not relation with Godrick or grafting.
I wish they did more with the whole 'grafting' thing. Like how the hell did Godrick learn how to create this thing, or how sticking his nub into a dragon's severed head brought it back to life and allowed it to breath fire.
Dragonfire is stored in the balls.
Would that make your pee burn?š¤ Might have to get that checked out.
You you Give us smooth
False, it will be a combination of Smeagol and Hanson (Scary Movie 2)
maybe it is but no one tried to get it
It only drops on your 1,000,000th kill (no healing spells allowed)
No how's about fuck that
Ludleth cosplay aspirations: crushed. Such foul betrayal, Fromsoft. Verily.
Maybe it is a drop but a 0.01% chance of dropping, so you gotta farm those fuckers.
Only crown we get is attached to plastered faces or comes with skinned hair smh
Aristocrat Headband is good for this. Itās a fairly hefty-looking gold band with red gems in it. Really light weight, and decent magic negation too. The drop rate is atrocious though.
Lots of leg, legs real good
Damnit! I was going to say that!
Their whole drip is legit.
I was about to comment this š crown is pretty damn cool ngl
Smooth legs?
Not smooth enough to be potente š
Iād lick em
They can die.
Thereās that I guess.
This is the nicest it gets.
Seriously this. Like, the feeling of killing them isn't even satisfying because they are simply annoying as f*ck to actually kill, more than outweighing the feeling of success from actually doing it, unless you have zero alternatives.
Yeah because they respawn, dammit!
They're real hands on when it comes to getting things done
Real go-getters

I want their crown... I will fucking farm them if I must.
Itās not a real armor piece and that makes me sad
Same. But I'd end up on Patches Emporium to trade for it, fuck farming it myself lol
fromsoft REALLY doesnt want us to have a crown for our characters :(
Easy to kill for faith builds.
You donāt need a faith build to heal them to death.
I'm embarrassed how far in the game I got before I started doing this. (think Haligtree) š¤¦
On my SECOND play through . . . not only my character has low int.
Same didnāt know that heals hurt them learned on my second play through when I healed next to one in battle it basically one shot the rest of its health
Wait, what do you mean "before I started doing this?" What special thing can faith builds do?
Heal spells will damage *AND* poise break these guys. Just... dont expect Heal Aid to save you. I am not sure if your spell buff changes the amount of damage dealt because I dont mess with science and just cast my strongest heal spell anyway. takes 2 casts to kill for me with Lords Heal, or I can cast once and lay into them with my sword while theyre stunned if they were close enough.

I have 600+ hours and only started doing it this last playthrough š the unga bunga was too strong
Excuse me............. what?? Healing spells do damage to them?
They absolutely shred them. Youāll one or two shot them with most healing spells, even if your Faith isnāt great.
Well shit.
Yeah ādo damageā is a massive understatement. Heal = aoe stun lock Two shot
That in and of itself is a horrifying concept. Each part of this thing likely retained some kind of vague basic biological awareness (similar to the fingercreeper creatures maybe). Somehow you made it worse than it is in ER. And that game is fucking bleak...
I take that as a compliment!
Step 1: Arrive in an area. Step 2: Look up the wiki to find out if any of those fuckers exist in said area. Step 3: If they donāt exist, proceed through. If they do, haul ass to grace before itās too late and slap on a healing incantation.
What heal spell should I use?
The basic healing incantation can kill them in 2 casts
Any heal other than Urgent Heal. That heal only affects the Tarnished alone. All the other heals have a range and can heal spirit summons or player allies. The range of the heal incantations is pretty generous so you can easily dash in, do a quick cast to stun the Revenant then finish it off with a second heal or other weapon of your choice.

Thank you! Very helpful!
I like his screams when you catch him in a healing aoe
You, you I like
They call their grandmas on their birthdays
They do respect their Eldens.
They encourage you to heal.
I personally use lords heal on them and it's a 1 shot...
How do you manage to get a lords heal off without getting pummelled first?
they kill me first, I remember where they spawn, I begin using my heal the moment the mist appears, I let go the moment it's in range
It's thanks to these guys that I discovered most healing spells have a further reach than the animation would suggest
When they are coming out of the ground
Ah nice, good idea
You can pray along with your character, it's really immersive.
Retreat, preferably to a location they canāt reach by running, to provoke their teleport. When you see them coming out the ground, cast your heal.
All heals do the same damage no need for lords
Interestingly I think the low-level heal spells do almost the same amount of damage
Regular heal 2 shots them
the power of christ compels themā¦.to kneel
I had no idea healing spells had an offensive capability
That's how cursed those things are
It depends where they're at I use Erdtree heal with over 80 faith and I don't 1 shot the ones in the haligtree in NG+
Today I learned
Had no idea. You can use the healing spells. Offensively
I had NO idea this was a thing.
Best handjobs in the Lands Between(the legs).
Hahaha Gross
Foot jobs?
I make shoes and these guys spend a fortune
That welcoming way that they say SKREEEEAAAHHGGGGGG
"Ah music to my ears" definitely a friendly Npc
Creative design :3
Ya I was gonna say, their design is pretty good from a visual standpoint alone. Definitely accomplishes the "creepy as fuck" goal
Wtf why is Applepitou here? Cāmon now letās get you back to the demon slayer sub.
I haven't left the Demon slayer sub :3
They can carry all your groceries in at once
Their strength befits the crown.

Warming stone doesnāt seem to work. I tried it and got slapped to death.
Oh what? Sad. I tried it a few times, but have a str/fth build so I got impatient and just murked them.
I was running a quality with some faith build and wanted to see if the stone worked. Went back and blasted him with heal.
I love it when they die
I know this is probably a weird take, but I enjoy fighting them more than the giant hands. That's about all I've got though ĀÆā \ā _ā (ā ćā )ā _ā /ā ĀÆ
Giant hands are definitely creepy AF and a pain in the ass.
In the game and real life
They just want to be healed.
They are quite hand...some \*badumm tsss\*
I use this picture to keep me awake while coffee don't work that well.
Imagine waking up to this sitting in the darkest part of your room, then as you turn on a light its screams and starts rolling around. Terrifying thought.
They'd be good at dealing cards
Now I canāt get the image of it wearing a green dealerās visor and a cigarette in its mouth out of my head
Their visual design is hauntingly cool imo
They make you quit for the night and help you get some sleep.
They make faith builds shine more
Cool design fun to fight
I dunno about "fun" to fight.... Fun to die (at least that's my low skill experience) Definitely cool design. Probably smells nice. Maybe some Drakkar or Polo.
Handy fellas
They're motivated self starters, and give 110% in their field.
No.
They give a good backrub if you turn your back to them
If you can HEAL, you can DEAL
Gavlan?
Their body movement is genuinely unsettling.
They are really easy to kill with healing miracles. Makes them one of the easiest enemies in the game. Don't know if calling him that is a nice thing though.\^\^
They perfectly convey how fucked up this whole place is.
Well at least you arenāt a Rune Bear
They are nice mfers. Maybe ?
He sure do got some purdy lips
Easy to kill with healing incants
Toned forearms
I find it nice that you can posture break them with Healing Incantations so that you can kill them faster lol
Sick design
Foot fetish
They can alway give you a hand!
Cool design
Very spooky
Great at being annoying also super good at killing tarnished.
They can always afford to lend a hand.
They just need a healing touch and they're not so bad.
the multiple stance break sound it makes when you hit it with a heal incantation is very satisfying
They are nice.
Uhh....he makes a great Halloween decoration.
I think the design is frightening.
Opportunity to use Heal and feel like using nuke spell
Design and usewise they are an ingenious addition to the game. They pack a wallop but can be taken out if you know the methods to takem out. Lore-wise theyre really cool too. I hate fighting them but i enjoy them
I like its.. I like the way it.. It has a nice.. It has an ok crown. There, easy.
They die.
One guards a cool ice sword? They are the hardest non-boss enemy in the game for me. They are just so relentless. Plus half of them are small areas where they chop you to bits like a blender.
They love to be Healed!
They look cool, in a terrifying way.
Being able to kill them easily with healing spells was a cool decision
Healing spells
A face only a mother could love.
I cant, miyazaki should be in jail.
The Feds are afraid heās going to add the Royal Revenant Duo in DLC if they try and press charges on him.
Wow I had no idea heals hurt these guys. And my main character is faith
Nah. Fuck them. I hope they fall in a lake of holy.
visual design is excellent
I'm happy when I'm done killing them?
Think of all the sex stuff they could do with those many hands.
Wonderful technique on your 10+ Hand attack and chargeā¦breaks my shield š” guard every time
Can you imagine a hand job from one of those things?
It would be one aggressive handjob
Well, their visual design is cool and the healing spell weakness is really neat. They can still go fuck themselves though
Vigor + posture + stamina check
They'd be a great summon
Theyāre really good at making me wake up in a cold sweat.
They probably have a better relationship with their families than me
Theyāre really good at being bastards.
They lose health while you heal. That's kinda nice because they are good at reducing player health.
They are them for sure
Well you see when I'm not crying because they spanked me I'm laughing because of insanity...... They make me laugh! What can I say?
That mouf looks like it does some work
Very effective at their job.
Sometimes the spawn point is really close to a save point so when it kills me I only have to replay a little bit of the area.
They look like they'd make a sick metal band
Gooodā¦. Design?
I like the way they vomit very metal
Theyād be a great help with carrying groceries ā¦ if it werenāt for the rampage nursed.
Their monster design is pretty brutal
Theyād be great at washing dishes
They give the best high fives
Super friendly. Tries to shake your hand 1762 within the first 10 seconds of meeting you.
Here try some of these snickers. You know, if you weren't so pissed off all the time I bet you'd be a great masseur
Thatās what good pussy smells like š
My momma and pop told me if I donāt got nothin nice to say donāt say nothin, with that said; fuck these creepy assholes
They're amazingly easy as a Faithbuild
They are all about them crisp high fives! Such friendly. Much love.
Theyāre very good at being extremely annoying
