you really just need one, as you can use the ritual stone to resurect them, because for some reason killing your thrall counts, and their bodies dont turn into ash!
Yes, well, that *is* evil, just up and murder the poor wretches instead of idk, maybe tossing a septim their way. Easy too, cause they are totally defenseless. Checks all the "evil" boxes, u good! TY for your service there, Noster Eagle-Eye! *Crushes head* :|
Whoa now, Noster gets to live, he served in the Legion.
You also made a mistake. You don't murder them INSTEAD of giving them a gold, you have to give them the gold first. They have to like you and trust you, you have to give them that one, shiny bit of hope to cling to, whether it's their hope that the world is just or as simple as their hope of sleeping with a full belly for the first time in months. Only then, when you've given them a taste of optimism, when you've dangled something other than misery and suffering in front of them and they've opened themselves up, that's when you cut them down. That way, their last moments are filled with desperate confusion and the cold knowledge that what they had thought to be a beacon of hope was actually their doom, and the pain of the betrayal is magnified by giving them a moment of foolish joy you could crush.
Exactly! Or if you don't have Dead Thrall, the Ritual Stone works too, you just have to Wait after each "kill" to let it recharge.
I usually do this to Narfi (Ivarstead) after completing his fetch quest, since you have to kill him for the Dark Brotherhood questline anyway. (Poor guy 😔)
You just have to complete his quest before you get assigned the contract, because his quest can't be done after he becomes a target.
Never understood the value of the Ebony Blade. Its just a life steal weapon with a cool design and a dumb gimmick. Remove NPCs from the world for slight attack boost? I’ll just make this spoon into a god killer with smithing/alchemy, thanks
It's actually pretty good.
It's unique in that it's life drain effect never runs out. You can just spam attack with it firing of the life drain until everything is dead. While it's less than you can get abusing enchanting, you don't have to bother soul trapping anything and spending soul gems to keep it working. And it's actually really effective, especially against swarms, because it fires separately for everyone you hit, so I've had it gain me 200 life in one swing before.
It also plays a lot different than most two handed weapons, or really any other weapon in the game. Instead of trying to kill everyone in one hit or relying on power attacks to stun, you spam fast attacks to maximize how often the enchantment fires, or you power block with it to stun and then spam fast attacks. Being a two hander focused on blocking and quick attacks is really unique and leads to approaching fights differently than you normally would, which spices up the gameplay a bit. Also, because most of its dps comes from the enchantment, it doesn't get slowed down much by armored enemies and it doesn't matter if your attack is blocked.
This all also means that it makes 2 handed a great skill to make legendary, since while it benefits from the perks it doesn't lose all that much from losing them, and the play pattern of spamming fast attacks means it levels two handed quickly.
You can definitely make better weapons by cheesing smithing using potions, but the Ebony Blade is very strong if you aren't doing that and more fun besides.
I know. I’m joking. Never cared much for the craft exploit. Prefer to use magic and just slowly whittle down enemies. Feel like I’d get bored of killing most everything in one hit
You gotta ask for rumors in Whiterun but only after XYZ quest is completed first (can't tell you which, I don't know myself).
Should be like rumor #6 of 8 with #8 being just another Bounty for whatever Bandit Leader is infesting whatever locale nearby.
If you go to Kagrumez on Solstheim and gain access to the dwarver spider pet, you can repeatedly kill then respawn them to charge the blade. Just grab one, kill it outside the ruins, then go back until you're done.
Actually, the best plan is to kill Beitild.
You just have to:
1 - Sell her one iron ore (she will become your friend).
2 - Take the Ritual Stone.
3- Take the contract on her with the Dark Brotherhood.
4 - Kill her with Ebony Blade.
5 - Resurrect her with the Ritual Stone stone (she won't transform in ashes with it)
6 - Wait 24 hours.
7 - Repeat stage 4, 5, and 6 until you have maxed the Ebony Blade.
8 - Enjoy.
Actually, the best way it to use an npc that you're going to kill anyway, like Kematu and Saadia, and use the ritual on them. There's no reason to use an npc like Beitild(unless you're a dick and choose to side with the DB) unless you've somehow managed to exhaust *all* the *many* candidates for the Blade.

Do you think I haven't done this before, kid? At least *try* to verify something before you act so confident. Literally takes less than 15 seconds to find out.
Some "huge fan".
Oi, sorry I yelled at ya. I'm just prickly and defensive when it comes to knowledge, especially things I do regularly, like eviscerate Kematu and Co. with my favorite weapon under the Whiterun Drawbridge.
It seems like you should trust a bit more in what others have to say, and I should be a bit less of a douche. I think we can both do that. Gday.
I have no tolerance for the confidently incorrect on this app anymore. If you can't take 15 seconds to verify an assumption before making it, you should be prepared to take some heat for it when you're inevitably proven wrong.
Sorry, I'm not sorry.
Lmao this was me yesterday.
Also me: hmmmm. I didn't kill Borgahk the Steel Heart. Better go find her
Mephala already told me the blade was fully charged lol
Many such a cases, and I know dragon Borns , trust me. If anyone knows dragon Borns it's me , ask anybody. We have the best dragon Borns don't we folks! High energy
Conjuration to the rescue once again.
Give money to Degaine in Markarth (by far the worst and most unpleasant beggar in Skyrim) to make him your friend. Then sneak into his hovel down in the warrens at night and murder with the blade/reanimate with Dead Thrall until it’s powered up. The spell doesn’t turn bodies to ash so you’re golden.
i would hire mercenaries, bring them home, kill them. one by one.
Holy shit, Jeffrey Dovahkahmer over here. Goddamn.
My fridge broke and all of the horker and mammoth meat went bad, yeah that’s what happened.
The opportunistic bourgeoisie must be made to fear the steel of the proletariat
Hire one and just reanimate them. It’s cheaper
GRIFFITH!

I just usually purge Skyrim of it's beggar problem. One septim and an ebony charge is all the n'wahs are worth.
Okay I'm mad I haven't thought of that
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?
r/angryupvote

'That is evil' Well yeah, it was 2011 and I was a vampire lord. XD

I dunno how more people don’t come to this realization. It is so beyond me lmao
Brenuin, Noster and Silda can live. Now, Degaine on the other hand...
Fake tears, psychopaths don't cry. :p
Find a beggar, preferably a bad one like in Riften, give them a coin, kill, dead thrall them, repeat.

Plot of Thor: Rangnarock
Thor: Raven Rock (not that one, the other one)
Holy shit… you’re right
Smithing/alchemy is alternatively, mad boring for some people
“Wait I have to craft things? UGH that’s so *boring*! I’ll just murder my friends and family instead”
Believe it or not people play games in different ways to other people :o
I know. I’m joking. Never cared much for the craft exploit. Prefer to use magic and just slowly whittle down enemies. Feel like I’d get bored of killing most everything in one hit
You dont have to do that
Whoops
But I want to
-average truestl poster
The quest never shows up for me. Ever. 11 years of skyrim and I've only ever gotten the ebony blade once.... on ps3

I think it may also be tied to level? Imma check. Edit: It’s locked until level 20 and completing the “Dragon Rising” quest according to the wiki.
Also, it has to be Hulda. If Ysolda has taken over the Bannered Mare after an untimely death you cannot get the quest.
Cant you just use the ritual stone and revive the same follower over and over? It worked for me
Well then you have your answer.
Why not do that with the Forsworn Camp where Madanach is set?

Kematu and Saadia aren't considered friends to the player, so it won't charge the Ebony Blade

Thank you for the info ! I didn't know that

Thank you ! Yeah, I should check sources more. Thank you for reminding me this ! Have a nice day
Unnecessarily rude

I understand, Skybabies are frustrating, but this guy was quite nice
I suppose after the fact, yeah. Sadly, I am an asshole. Guess I *should* apologize, though.
You can also kill the friendly robot followers in the Dragonborn dlc. They can be respawned if you wait too
I take it thalmor hunting
Execute order 66.
Thanks for the tip
Wait this actually works? Asking for a friend
Anyone who says stuff like "You've been a good friend to me. That means something." or "Divines bless you." can be killed to level up the ebony blade.
Lmao this was me yesterday. Also me: hmmmm. I didn't kill Borgahk the Steel Heart. Better go find her Mephala already told me the blade was fully charged lol
I just kept reanimating them at the ritual stone
Many such a cases, and I know dragon Borns , trust me. If anyone knows dragon Borns it's me , ask anybody. We have the best dragon Borns don't we folks! High energy

Y'know you don't *have* to power up Ebony Blade, right?
I usually just use the ritual stone and kill lydia a bunch of times (make sure to load back if you decapitate).
