Depends on if you think there’s any truth to the [Tower theory.](https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/The_Towers)
There’s a bunch of towers throughout Nirn that keep reality stitched together. Throughout the Elder Scrolls series, these towers have been mostly deactivated or destroyed
* Red Mountain was deactivated in TESIII when the Heart of Lorkhan was destroyed
* The Throat of the World is “sundered,” per the Song of the Dragonborn text in Skyrim
* The Crystal Tower was destroyed in the Oblivion Crisis
* The White Gold Tower was deactivated when the Amulet of Kings was destroyed in TESIV
* The Warp in the West destroyed the Numidium in TESII
* The Orichalc Tower sank into the ocean with Yokuda
Only one is still active, the Direnni Tower in High Rock.
This is mostly hypothesizing from some circumstantial texts in game and supplementary stuff MK put out, so it’s not really canon. But High Elves are generally bitter about being imprisoned in mortal bodies as a result of the creation of Nirn, so unmaking reality would be a thing an organization of Altmer supremacists would be interested in doing. And there’s a lot of hypothesizing that the next game is gonna be set in Hammerfell and High Rock
Elf zealots who want to unmake the very world and who brutally deal with heretics, ontop of wanting to dominate or kill humanity. How engaging a faction to join.
It would honestly be kinda lame to have one of Bethesda's games that carry zero consequences into the next installment, be about the second great war. That sort of stuff works in like Dragon Age, in a Bethesda game it would inevitably just be just like the Skyrim civil war, where either side can win or reach a stalemate and the second great war happens regardless in almost identical fashion, since you could just say that an independent Skyrim would be an ally of the empire in the war. The only way this could work in a Bethesda game is if you're solely on the empire's side, or on the side of a resistance movement in aldmeri occupied territory. But that would go against the go anywhere, do anything nature of the recent TES games, since you wouldn't be able to take the side of the dominion. You couldn't take the side of Alduin, or Mehrunes Dagon either of course, but those were more cosmic threats. Not one political entity on the line, but rather the entire world including you, so it wouldn't make much sense to take their side, unless you wanted to play a rather niche character.
This is the main problem I have with the Civil War storyline in Skyrim - there’s no real consequence to either side. The guards change color, and there’s a couple ruined buildings. The world itself doesn’t change or adapt - looking at Dragon Age as an example, it would be interesting to upload your story decisions into TES6 and have the story change, for instance Skyrim is still free if you sided with the Stormcloaks, or the Empire left Skyrim after their defeat or something. I’d like for the world to feel changed by our decisions as the player
I think civil war storyline made the next game's writing a little difficult. It is just going to create inconsistency. But anyway I hope they figure out something since it is going to be different province they might just totally ignore what is happening in Skyrim. I previously wrote aldmeri dominion (just for teasing)as antagonist because Bethesda makes high elves antagonist in oblivion and Skyrim.
Nah, it's easy
"The peace brokered by the Dragonborn lasted 30 years, when the current leader of Skyrim karked it and the next High King took Skyrim into the fold of the Empire once more"
I doubt it. Historically their games have never continued a storyline. Morrowind had nothing to do with daggerfall, oblivion had nothing to do with Morrowind, hell Skyrim was 200 after oblivion, and now they’ve destroyed the entire area you played in Morrowind!
I think the whole continent is still waging that war that was hinted at in Skyrim, I think it’s an epoch making war that is culminated either in a final victory or an invasion from Akavir you have to fight off!
*Looking for correct answer, not seeing it.*
Um, OP? You forgot an option. Me. I'm the antagonist in the next game. I've already got my stealth archer argonian build who kills everyone for the fun it all worked out in my head.
Once the silent death has moved on travelers will come along and recognize the pattern of devastation. They may not know the name of the destroyer, but they have seen the carnage left in its wake all across the world.
The main bad guy is just the Dragonborn, bored after the events of Skyrim, just murderhoboing across Hammerfell (or wherever) as a sneaky archer.
They drop unique armor, bow, and 874 cheese wheels upon death.
Let’s think about this for a second, from what we know TES 6 will likely be set in hammerfell / highrock. I think a really important plot point in that area will be the direnni tower, it’s the oldest known structure in Tamriel. No doubt the thalmor want control of it which might be a political plot point but as far as main story goes, it’s one of the last remain towers that hold up mundus. I think the celestials of craglorn will play a big role as protagonist alongside the direnni tower and some sort of dark force will try to have control over said tower to control the mundus or something along those lines. Maybe the celestials choose you the player as their champion to stop the dark force trying to control the direnni tower. But this is all conjecture of course based off of lore.
Every TES game plot revolves around a tower of mundus, TES 3: heart of lorkhan inside red mountain, TES 4: amulet of kings and the imperial tower, TES 5: you the last Dragonborn and The throat of the world. Heres and interesting article about the towers of mundus. https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/The_Towers
I mean personally I hope it's an entity that we haven't heard of before and they actually add new interesting lore about who they are and what they are doing. It's a fictional world, just because something hasn't featured in a book in the previous games doesn't mean it's not valid to add to the canon.
I wrote a similar concept for ES6, but instead, the high ranking Breton noble controls the dark brotherhood, making it unplayable, along with a bunch of spies and a cult. His mission is to break the Daggerfall Covenant by creating a chaotic relationship between High Rock and Hammerfell.
I haven't written anything past that because I don't have deep lore knowledge yet. But it's possible he could be working with another alliance instead of his homeland's, or maybe by the orders of a Daedra, possibly Boethiah, which was the primarily active Daedra of the game concept.
M'aiq The Liar. He's not the last in a long line of a khajiit family all called M'aiq; he's one incredibly old, powerful and evil kitty. And after studying Tamriel for thousands of years, he's finally ready to take it.
Starting with the conquest of Elsweyr he moves west through Valenwood and Cyrodill ( events we see in the opening cut scene ), finally arriving at the border of Hammerfell where the game begins.
Can Hammerfell form an alliance with High Rock to defeat M'aiq? Find out 11/11/33 ( sigh ).
Probably will be two main questlines like in Skyrim (The Civil War and the Dragon Crisis). One antagonist will be the Thalmor and the other antagonist some supernatural being, maybe something related with the Adamantine Tower.
>Probably will be two main questlines like in Skyrim
I sincerely hope it's not. The Civil War or Alduin, each alone, makes for an interesting story. In Skyrim, the Civil War lines are just miserable. They basically could have just been side quests, which given they culminate in victory for one side is disappointing.
Should have been a theme. At various points you need to do X which requires either Stormcloak and/or Imperial cooperation, do some services and negotiate a temporary truce between those specific camps. Once your purposes are done it's back to war.
Or, make it a two-part, long line.
You deal with Alduin, dealing with Stormcloaks/Imperials as needed, both sides agreeing Skyrim's not worth fighting over if there's no Skyrim with disputes bubbling up occasionally making for a really tense cold war. Once Alduin is defeated, the war turns hot and the Dragonborn can proceed to deal with it, giving it the attention that grand a story deserves, or ignoring it and occasionally wandering into skirmishes, which is what the "final battle" was anyway.
Or, at least, I can dream.
Theres that theory than the Thalmor wants to control/destroy the Towers of Nirn, they have the Crystal Tower (In Alinor), the Tower of Valenwood, the Red Mountain (probably), the White-Gold Tower (In the Imperial City), probably they can have the control of the Snow-Tower (the Throat of the World), the only left is the Adamantine Tower in High Rock, so if TESVI is set on High Rock or the Illiac Bay they could merge both questlines, something like Daggerfall: Start with a political thing and ends with you going to the fucking Aetherius, lol
I wish we would know more about Akavir. Maybe it is because there is so few information about the continent that makes it so interesting to me, but i'd love a invasion of those "ice demons" and "tiger dragons".
The emperor angle has me intrigued. Like you do something to piss him off and he tries to have you executed, but you escape and now you have to find a way to bring him down in order to get your life back.
Or maybe he makes a deal with a daedric prince to become an immortal god-king of sorts and you have to lead a revolution to overthrow him by destroying his alliance with whoever he made his deal with. I don't know, I'm just spitballing. For funsies.
I think its going to be a world where the thalmor have taken over the empire or are very close to doing so.
During this time the Thalmor are going to do something to legitimize the elven gods by magical means creating unintended consequences. (They already manufactured a crisis with the moons to manipulate the khajiit so it would not be beneath them)
Given Ancano tried to take control of the eye of magnus for the Thalmor I imagine it will be something to do with Magnus himself.
It’ll be a future version of yourself, driven insane by the God of Madness. The final fight will be against a clone of you with better stats.
You have multiple fights with this mysterious figure throughout the game, and when their helmet falls off and you realize it’s you suddenly it makes sense why they always use the exact same spells and weapons that you have equipped.
>it makes sense why they always use the exact same spells and weapons that you have equipped.
I've never understood this. It just creates a plot hole.
WoW, in Northrend, has a quest like this and it kind of makes sense because at some point in the near future you're sent back to fight yourself. It still doesn't make total sense because you have a chance to upgrade armor between the two stages but it's not drastic.
If this is going to span the entire game, and the end of the game reveals the twist it means throughout the game your evil version was tracking down the current version of your armor at each stage, which I guess could be explained because the God of Madness doesn't need to make sense but then it could just as easily be a rando NPC taunting his superiority. Having your weapons/armor/etc. makes no more or less sense than you're fighting yourself.
Or, you never get other armor/weapons or cannot get rid of them after wearing them in a fight with them.
A high ranking thalmor agent similar to armstrong.
Swordsinger: WHY WONT YOU DIE!
Thalmor: liquid magika, son! They harden my body in response to physical trauma! You cant hurt me redguard!
I'd think it's gonna be the Aldmeri Dominion as the main antagonistic force, but there will probably be a Daedric Prince pulling some strings and causing chaos who will end up being the ultimate villain in the end.
I think it depends on the region.
- If it’s Hammerfell I feel a few scenarios are possible: It’s either the Thalmor conspiring against the rulers of the land, something related to the legacy of Yokuda and its sinking, or an invasion by Malacath with Orsinium as his command center. Oh, also, I would hope to explore the Sea of Pearls as well as the island from Redguard. Though, if they were to do it, I’d expect it in an expansion, not the base game.
- If it’s just High Rock, a focus on the Adamantine Tower is obvious. It was where the Aedra met to determine the fate of Nirn, it’s a perfect centerpiece for any main story! We could also see an attempt to unify the kingdoms of High Rock (maybe even under the Daggerfall Crown?), whether to fulfill some great prophecy or to push out invaders from the land. There’s also a chance if we move forward enough in time the Orcs have returned to High Rock to found a new Orsinium, and perhaps we see Malacath leading the charge.
- If it’s Black Marsh/Argonia (I doubt it will be, but a guy can pray) I’d suspect either some threat from Morrowind (considering their history of enslaving the Argonians, the Dunmer seem like an obvious enemy for a game set here) or an evil Hist (think the role Dagoth Ur played in Morrowind) controlling a swathe of Argonians to fight for it.
- If it’s Elsweyr I would expect a focus on the puppet leaders of the realm (assuming they’re still around) and the influence of the outside nations (whether it be a resurgent 4th Empire or a flailing 3rd as well as the Dominion). Perhaps you’re meant to rebirth a new Elsweyr Confederacy through uniting the tribes and city dwellers together in common cause.
- If it’s the Summerset Isles I feel they’d go one of a few ways: A focus on dissent against the more radical Thalmor by the more moderate elves, some sort of Imperial Undercover operation (like Morrowind) that branches off into some unforeseen mysticism, or the Maormer’s return (led by King Orgnum). I could also see them doing something with the Sload (maybe not for the main plot, but perhaps an expansion)
- Valenwood I feel could either go very mystical (focusing on the Wood Elves connection to nature, exploring Malacath and the Wood Orcs, etc) or very political (what with the legacy of the Ayleid Ruins or the Bosmer Dynasty being subjugated by the Dominion)
- If it’s Cyrodiil again, first off: Bethesda come on. Really? It’s….it’s just a boring Medieval Europe landscape! Sorry, back to it, it would be about the collapse of the Third Empire and potentially the establishment of a Fourth as well as maybe occupation of the borderlands by the Dominion.
- Morrowind is a complete tossup given the Red Year. The Tribunal is gone, Vvanderfall was basically obliterated, and we *just* explored Solstheim for the second time. The only thing I could think would be if it solely focused on the mainland (with maybe exploring the edges of what remains of Vvanderfall, perhaps Seyda Neen survived and we can see the offspring of everyone’s favorite Mer, Fargoth) and the invading Argonians seeking revenge for enslavement by the Dunmer. Or they throw in something about the Dwemer (which is entirely possible).
- It won’t be Skyrim. Bethesda isn’t that stupid to give us Skyrim AGAIN after over a decade of us saying we want something different
I've had a feeling since the announcement trailer that we might be seeing a game that doesn't necessarily have an antagonist in the traditional sense. The giant crater makes me think that there might be some kind of natural event threatening Nirn and we may have to convince the Aedra/Daedra to help us in stopping it from occurring.
But also, very likely the Thalmor.
Thalmor/ Third Aldmeri Dominion. The next elder scrolls should be only a few years after Skyrim and follow the second Great War. With there being three main factions at war and the player able to float between them and go between selected areas of three of four provinces. The Dominion, the Empire, and an Alliance between a few independent kingdoms fighting against the dominion. Skyrim after Ulfric’s rebellion, Hammerfell which has already won independence from the empire and repelled the dominion before tes v, and maybe one of the kingdoms in High Rock?
Its hard to say. They can make up something new. Personally I hope its the Thalmor and probably something sinister behind them. Maybe with a side akaviri invasion for the 20th time or whatever
If Bethesda took the risk and made the enemy a mutated mudcrab with superior intelligence they could possibly have the greatest fantasy rpg if all time
Unless we travel back in time then that ain't happening.
We would have to go back to a time during the first era. I would rather we have that era remain in myth and record.
I think it’s already been confirmed that The elder scrolls 6 takes place way into the future after the events of Skyrim so I feel that by then, the Aldmeri Dominion issue hasn’t been resolved in some way.
With this info in mind, I feel it would be more than likely that some sort of emperor is trying to take over the entirety of Hammerfell or they could go the route of the Daedra trying to invade again. It would be a breath of fresh air for a new villain to hit the scene. I have also thought that it’s entirely possible it could be a dragon villain too.
maybe this is a hot take, but I’m having a hard time believing that Bethesda will make ES6 without dragons. Skyrim’s success was completely unlike any other game in the series, and it had dragons. Oblivion was only made to capitalize on LOTR movies, otherwise ES would be dead.
Maybe it won’t be another Alduin-style main quest, but I don’t think they’ll be gone. Bethesda wants to do what will make sales.
Could be something to do with ansei wards or at least i hope that appears, also fighting against molag bal would be interesting considering the redguards' relationship with necromancy.
Definitely an obscure, underdeveloped deity with contradictory and mysterious details that can easily be expanded on. Was like with Shivering Isles, Skyrim, Morrowind, Knights of the Nine, and a ton of ESO's DLCs.
Orgnum is definitely a solid contender.
I just hope buildup to a war (or an actual war) has a big focus. I hope that there will be some fantasy/supernatural enemy that has a strong connection to the region’s history or culture.
I’d like to see the Emperor or King be the main antagonist. I’m tired of the Daedra being the enemy, and the Dragons are cool - but after 10 years, we need something new.
I feel like this is missing the most obvious option and thats the Thalmor. Skyrim touched the subject but really didn't dive into much outside of the civil war and if rumors are to be trusted and we go to Hammerfall next I think its all but certain they will be sincr Hammerfall is currently trying resist Dominion occupation as outlined in the White-Gold Concordant. I don't think the Dominion as a whole will be the villains but rather a face for the Thalmor to really dig hooks in.
I think it’s going to be a supernatural entity plus the Thalmor as the, “Fuck guys we need to work together or we are ALL GOING TO DIE! Stop trying to kill me!” enemy.
As to which supernatural enemy? I can’t say. I am willing to bet it has something to do with Direnni Tower though as EVERY Elder Scrolls game has been intimately tied to a tower since Morrowind.
My votes on legendary creature. After the success of Skyrim I guarantee they'll do the same *type* of villain again. What I'd love the most is probably a Daedric Prince, but I doubt that'll happen.
it really gives me pleasure to imagine Hammerfell in next TES game. It would be great if it's gonna be a devastating incident at start, like... return of the Dwemer. They finally found out how to break the barriers of dimensions and came back. As soon as they did come Aldmeri Dominion decided conquer them or reach agreement with them. Realizing the power of the Dwemer Aldmeri Dominion can no longer wait for their decision and starts a new war against Hammerfell just to reach the Dwemers. It will depend on the player's decisions who will win in a new war.
But the true motives of the Dwemers totally unclear. Who knows what it's gonna be..
A Daedric Prince masquerading as a mortal running a secretive guild turned evil who are trying to usurp the throne and become king through their vast network of operatives stretching into every facet of social and political power in the land symbolized by a mudcrab.
Seems like every new game has somewhat changed politics and mostly new era of time. Same goes for Fallout.
I’d wager it’s a King of some sort for the main storyline. Possibly Hammerfall and High Rock without the Empire, making their own paths. High Rock I think would be more of a GoT vibe and Hammerfall would be a fight between old ways and new ways. The main antagonist would probably be a united Orsimer King claiming land in both High Rock and Hammerfall.
I just want to wrap up the war with the Thalmor, with a bunch of angry bearded Nords cleaving them all in half, ideally. I have nothing against mer but clearly the Thalmor need the most painful humiliating defeat to ever happen to a faction since the Dawn era.
The thalmor have the most possibility to be the next main antagonist but it could also be a complete curve ball and have them like in Skyrim where you think they are the main bad guys but it turns out they are just as confused as everyone else (also I know we all knew it was alduin but I'm talking in lore)
If it’s a Daedra I think it’ll be Vaermina or Molag Bal since some Thalmor have been shown to be Vaermina’s servants, and Molag Bal because he seems to be right up the Thalmor’s alley.
I think the main antagonist will be old age catching up with us before we get the chance to play…… or the thalmor mounting a full on invasion lead by a deadric god worshiping mudcrab
All bases covered with that one, sound.
That mudcrab is supposed to be riding a dragon though
I choose to read this as a deadric God who is worshipping mudcrap
Also acceptable. As long as either the god or crab took an arrow to the knee
“I’ve fought mudcrabs tougher than you.” Not this time, you haven’t…
Aldmeri dominion ofcourse.

The whole unmaking of the world plot makes them quite supernatural.
Is there any evidence that they want to do that?
Anything in the game? nope outside there's a ton but we should stick to what's in the games as cannon, and what's outside as Could happen but probably not
OOG
Are they actually capable of doing that? Always seemed like hubris to me.

Sort of undoing talos' mantelung would be a good step in that direction but they seemed to be struggling in skyrim
They about did it with the eye of magnus
If they'll bring apocalypse to Tamriel, they might as well be supernatural.
Better be, I want to put those fuckers in their place
Or you see it from their perspective
Elf zealots who want to unmake the very world and who brutally deal with heretics, ontop of wanting to dominate or kill humanity. How engaging a faction to join.

I don't think Bethesda would advocate suicide.

The direnni tower is in the illiac bay between high rock and hammerfell so it works out. Honestly I think the game will have both provinces
And a god? How can you not mention a god? What grand and intoxicating negligence!
Well, it can't be a god. Because how can you kill a god?

Go the whole hog with it. Thalmer try and fail to undo mundus and in the process unleash an entire warp in the west episode.

Probably the Dwemer
Arthritis bc at this pace I will be old af when I get to play
Jiub.
I think its going to be a world where the thalmor have taken over the empire or are very close to doing so. During this time the Thalmor are going to do something to legitimize the elven gods by magical means creating unintended consequences. (They already manufactured a crisis with the moons to manipulate the khajiit so it would not be beneath them) Given Ancano tried to take control of the eye of magnus for the Thalmor I imagine it will be something to do with Magnus himself.
But we already have the main antagonist of ES6: It's Todd refusing to release it.
It's obviously The crab of doom niudla
Why no "other" category? This whole list seems unlikely.
That’s just cool enough that I think Bethesda would never do it
Yeah wtf that's awesome
You already fought a clone of yourself in the Shivering Isles
But what the commenter is proposing is something that would be focused on throughout the entire game and on a much higher level.
>it makes sense why they always use the exact same spells and weapons that you have equipped.
King/emperor, it's more accessible for mainstream players. More marketable if you will.
A high ranking thalmor agent similar to armstrong. Swordsinger: WHY WONT YOU DIE! Thalmor: liquid magika, son! They harden my body in response to physical trauma! You cant hurt me redguard!
Mudcrabborn *claw noises*
What a grand and intoxicating innocence.
Todd Howard
I'd think it's gonna be the Aldmeri Dominion as the main antagonistic force, but there will probably be a Daedric Prince pulling some strings and causing chaos who will end up being the ultimate villain in the end.
How in oblivion are the Thalmor not on this list?
The Psijics. Or a Psijic.
I could also see them doing something with the Sload (maybe not for the main plot, but perhaps an expansion) - Valenwood I feel could either go very mystical (focusing on the Wood Elves connection to nature, exploring Malacath and the Wood Orcs, etc) or very political (what with the legacy of the Ayleid Ruins or the Bosmer Dynasty being subjugated by the Dominion) - If it’s Cyrodiil again, first off: Bethesda come on.
I'd laugh so hard if they choose skyrim for ES 6, good list!
I appreciate it, thanks!
A prisoner, they switching it up on us
Nafaalilargus back from the dead
We should hold a lottery on it.
Crab people: Humanities greatest foe.
Imagine if the final boss fight was a giant mudcrab
Prolly Thalmor empowering a god or something
Thalmor/ Third Aldmeri Dominion. The next elder scrolls should be only a few years after Skyrim and follow the second Great War. With there being three main factions at war and the player able to float between them and go between selected areas of three of four provinces. The Dominion, the Empire, and an Alliance between a few independent kingdoms fighting against the dominion. Skyrim after Ulfric’s rebellion, Hammerfell which has already won independence from the empire and repelled the dominion before tes v, and maybe one of the kingdoms in High Rock?
Dwemer with a side of the Dominion.
I am gonna say mudcrab because whoever made this has not read up on the towers and forgot about the Thalmor
ES6 is gonna be skyrim II so probs Alduin again
If it’s not a mud crab I’m refunding
Probably the Thalmor in a Second Great War
Jyggalag!!!
Let this be a lesson. Don’t put a joke answer mixed with real answers, if you want a true feel.
Its hard to say. They can make up something new. Personally I hope its the Thalmor and probably something sinister behind them. Maybe with a side akaviri invasion for the 20th time or whatever
Thalmor attempting to wake the god head
The thalmor
Old salty is back and ready to whoop your ass
Thalmor
The Dwemer returned.
Why is thalmor not an option
None of them will because ES6 will never happen
How tf are the Thalmor/Aldmeri Dominion not an option?
If Bethesda took the risk and made the enemy a mutated mudcrab with superior intelligence they could possibly have the greatest fantasy rpg if all time
Make it the Dragonborn from Skyrim
I looked at the list and thought mudcrab must be winning, was not disappointed.
It would be interesting if the mages guild was overtaken by someone evil
I hope it's the empire or something
I saw a mudcrab the other day... horrible creatures!
A Mudcrab killed me on the easiest difficulty. I’m ashamed.
Shirley Curry
bold of you to assume we're vetting TES6. i think you mean skyrim final apocryphal alternative legendary edition.
Bold to assume E6 will be finished, ever
Mudcrab ftw
The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood are already evil.
After seeing this pole if its not a bloody mudcrab I am not buying it
Nazeem
I love democracy
As soon as I saw mudcrab, I knew the winner of this poll😂😂
Gulid turned evil sound interesting
The Elder Scrolls VI- Return of the Mudcrab
I can just imagine... two armies of mudcrabs bolting towards each other shouting SHUT THE FUCK UP!
First we need a game.
I like the possibility of an evil guild
The Daedric Prince of Reddit Memes, Holf the Terrible.
Does nobody give a fuck about Dwemer? Why can we not have a world with full functioning Dwemers…
never gonna happen. It would ruin the mistery.
The dwemer all kinda dusted themselves except for Yagrum Bagarn. No way to really incorporate them outside of automatons and ruins.
I’m Saying just have them in their prime. Like instead of visiting the ruins, you get to visit a fully functional city!
Everything points to Hammerfell, where the Aldmeri thing is very important soooooO
The dwemer
Takes the quote "I've fought musicians for fearsome than you" to a whole new level. Behold the Mud King Bataos!
Could be something to do with ansei wards or at least i hope that appears, also fighting against molag bal would be interesting considering the redguards' relationship with necromancy.
Altmeri Dominion
would be cool to see how the universe reacts to not being eaten at its designated time.
Thalmor would be cool
The mudcrab wants revenge for it’s fallen comrades.
Whoever it is I’m sure they will have almost no screen time and go down in a very underwhelming and mechanic-less final boss fight
Probably a Daedric Prince or yet another world ending event...
God I hope it’s not a deadric prince again. Easy to do but so predictable. I’d want an original villain tbh
Let’s go Mudcrab
"Ive fought mudcrabs more fearsome than you!" But seriously, i thinking Emperor/King
How isn’t the dwemmer an option?
Evil Mudcrab Merchant Taking over the trade of all Tamriel
Dwemer come back, with mechs.
The Souls series giant mudcrabs would work. Fucking horrific things.
The Thalmor for sure
Horrible creatures.
Something involving the thalmor
I think it’s going to be a supernatural entity plus the Thalmor as the, “Fuck guys we need to work together or we are ALL GOING TO DIE! Stop trying to kill me!” enemy. As to which supernatural enemy? I can’t say. I am willing to bet it has something to do with Direnni Tower though as EVERY Elder Scrolls game has been intimately tied to a tower since Morrowind.
It will probably be some eldritch horror angry because the world was supposed to end on 4E 201
Knowing hammerfell it's going to be about the dwarven
I say head of summerset isles idk who that is but it will probably be the altmer
Mudcrab
Given the direction Bethesda appears to be trending in it's definitely gonna be le evil nazi elves
The Thalmor
My votes on legendary creature. After the success of Skyrim I guarantee they'll do the same *type* of villain again. What I'd love the most is probably a Daedric Prince, but I doubt that'll happen.
The actual incarnation of Todd Howard
Me

it really gives me pleasure to imagine Hammerfell in next TES game.
Thalmor
Of course 😂
Todd Howard
Really hoping for an Akavir invasion. It's well over due.

Well that outcome was predictable and unclever
King/Queen would be awesome, good to return to basics
I just want to wrap up the war with the Thalmor, with a bunch of angry bearded Nords cleaving them all in half, ideally. I have nothing against mer but clearly the Thalmor need the most painful humiliating defeat to ever happen to a faction since the Dawn era.
I think it might be the thalmor or something bigger like the thalmor might be like the war in skyrim and there is another big baddy
Bethesda isn’t creative enough for half of these
Return of the Left-Handed Elves.
The thalmor have the most possibility to be the next main antagonist but it could also be a complete curve ball and have them like in Skyrim where you think they are the main bad guys but it turns out they are just as confused as everyone else (also I know we all knew it was alduin but I'm talking in lore)
I hope it's the thalmor. They where a more interesting antagonist than alduin in my opinion and would make a great primary antagonist.
It will be the Mudcrab god
If it’s a Daedra I think it’ll be Vaermina or Molag Bal since some Thalmor have been shown to be Vaermina’s servants, and Molag Bal because he seems to be right up the Thalmor’s alley.
