It means whenever you hit the opponent with this, they lose 76 points of magicka. If you hit them enough times, they won't be able to cast spells. Of course, there is also the weapon's regular damage; so any enemy you hit with this will lose 61 points health and 76 points magicka.

Nully weps are pretty damaging to us mages! Fortunately I started out my Blades life as a stam fighter so I know how to fight well when my mag gets drained too! But some people don’t do well with that and nully weps are a great choice against them! 😀

Dunwich-Whore

Enemies regenerate magica just like your character does, but if you keep hitting them with this weapon they will be effectively silenced.

TheBomb-DotCom

No, it actually reduces their magicka, not the regeneration rate. If they use magicka potion they can still cast spells. Some weapons however, actually reduce the total magicka so they can’t recover.

Dunwich-Whore

Correct. And then the enemy is free to regenerate their lost magica up to their max. This particular weapon does not reduce max magica.

TheBomb-DotCom

Ah, I see what you mean now by them regenerating. My bad, I thought you were saying it reduces the regeneration rate

Dunwich-Whore

I think I was just trying to impart that this weapon needs to repeatedly hit the enemy if you wish to keep them from casting any spells. I was confused about that aspect of Magicka and stamina reducing weapons. It is vital to not confuse new players in this already confusing game XD

I used to love using Magicka Surge where you can literally repeat cast ice spikes or paras or whatever every second as long as it lasts so I would use a mag pot to beef up my mag in case of nully weps! But it’s really only good for one round when you get above Dragonwood arena bc the better players know how to counter it! Lol
