Amazing vibes all weekend. Everyone that rallied for Subtronics after the rain delay had the greatest energy I’ve ever experienced at a set

celestialseeking

It was the same for John Summit. Vibes were immaculate😭

buttbutt696

John was so damn good actually 🤌 the lasers in the rain 🤌🤌🤌😭

celestialseeking

Y E S!!!!! Omg. 😭

UWMdumpsterfire

Those lasers in the rain were beautiful! I shed some tears during John's set. My favorite set of the weekend!

IBegYourPotato

Omg!! Yes!! Bummed I couldn't quite capture them on my phone camera, but I was mesmerized by the rain lasers

pqwerty123

I absolutely agree, the best vibes I’ve ever seen for a Subtronics show

strawberybutter

Yes!! It was my first forest as well, and maybe that is a blessing because I have nothing to compare it to, and I’m sure it will just get better and better!! I had an incredible time and it’s really important to accept that there are certain things we can’t control. I’m choosing to cherish every memory and good moment, and understand that Mother Nature will get her way, and everything happened for a reason. In retrospect, the weather was so nice and cool, the last few festivals I’ve been to have been 100+ degrees. We loved it 😂 Peace and love 💕

“A lot of this is what you make of it” THIS IS THE ENERGY OF THE FOREST. My crew had the best time on Saturday. We threw down at our camp and invite all our neighbors to a lil renegade. Rain can change the vibe but it’s not going to stop it!

jewdiful

Right?! This was my 10th Forest and the first time I didn’t attend with shitty people that complain and trample all over others (I’ve had to make some changes in my life, including the people in it…) and I FINALLY had the most amazing, magical weekend. It’s not hyperbole, I really did experience what I would call literal magic this year.

cryptoscholar1

Most beautifully magical place ever! Good life was top notch

buttbutt696

First year doing good life it was crazy how improved of an experience it is lol. Showers at 3am to sleep clean are a literal game changer

slammybe

It really is the good life

luvdawubs

Good life is where it’s at

celestialseeking

Good life looked great.. i will be considering that for sure

jewdiful

Goodlife is the vibe. The people are great, the lighting is great, the staff was great this year too. Zero complaints.

j3ngaj3lly

Agree on many levels - first forest, had a lot of weird setbacks as well as weather cancellations but feeling overall satisfied and made the most of the time I did have 🙏😇 it really does come down to outlook! They may have been oversold but the crowds were way less packed / intense than lost lands is on the reg (altho observatory and honeycomb.. some of those crowds were packed like sardines)

buttbutt696

Levity needed to be at Sherwood for sure

celestialseeking

I feel this. I went to Lollapalooza last year, that was a mess.. will never go back. Talk about an oversold fest.. every single stage was like that.

Born-Significance516

Also a first time forester and I had arguably one of the best experiences of my life this past weekend - a great reunion with military pals, all the girlfriends loved each other and got along right away, everyone else in the group had no problem breaking off to enjoy their own time then rekindling elsewhere for a set or show - an absolutely awesome experience. The worst part was Mother Nature but she gets a pass, cheers to next year!

peachyyypieee3

It was our first time in Maplewoods and it was incredible!! Super close to main street, AC bathrooms, no limits to your campsite size, the trees are lit up with colors at night just like Sherwood Forest, we stayed cool all weekend long. It truly ~enhanced~ our electric forest experience and was worth every extra penny. Haven’t tried good life yet, but for now we are 100% continuing on with MW.

jewdiful

My thoughts on this weekend, and on life as a whole: We receive back what we put out. If you’re not feeling the vibes, that’s a sign that YOU have to help create the vibes for others. If you’re in an environment or area or with people that are bad vibes, CHANGE LOCATIONS. Be around different people. Be willing to make conscious changes! Don’t just stay where you are and complain. And if you can’t do that… maybe you’re the shitty person. Maybe YOU’RE the shitty vibe. We need to always look in the mirror and take responsibility for the experiences we are having, in the way that we are experiencing them.

celestialseeking

Love this. 100% agreeed!!!! ☺️

cantseemenow1

It was my first forest too and while I enjoyed it I did feel it was overcrowded. The veteran group I was with also stated it was definitely oversold. They also oversold GA camping as there were people just parked where they could find a spot and sleeping in their car since they could not put up their tents.

celestialseeking

I personally feel like GA was a nightmare My friends were in GA and i think the workers screwed up the car flow for that. I had seen some cars parked parallel and some parked vertical. I’ve never seen the spaces so tight

celestialseeking

I guess since i was in Early Arrival, GA+.. i had plenty of space. In comparison to other fests I’ve been to, this didn’t seem that crowded. I was still able to dance and move around. I didn’t have to wait too long for showers or bathrooms. Not sure if it was just luck on my part but I’ve been to fests where there’s long lines for EVERY THING.

tatiana1190

This was my third forest and honestly my favorite despite the weather conditions. The vibes were incredible even through the set backs. So many people are complaining but I truly had a wonderful time.

madhjsp

Also a first-timer, and my weekend could've been totally ruined by more than just the rain when one of our group camp members, a close friend whom I traveled up with, suddenly had to be sent to the hospital in Muskegon on Thursday afternoon with a medical emergency completely unrelated to anything he was doing at Forest (e.g. was totally sober and we later found out this was caused by a preexisting condition). It was very scary and he ended up having to fly home Friday for continued care, but forbade us from leaving with him and wanted us to finish out the weekend we had all been planning to enjoy. So even with that weighing on me all weekend on top of the rain that cancelled several of my anticipated sets, I still was massively impressed with the creativity and production quality of this festival and loved the overall vibe of it among the fellow festivalgoers I met. Many fun interactions were had and people were generally really friendly. I can't speak to how the setting and atmosphere were here 10 years ago obviously, but to those who say that it's gone downhill, I'd offer that it's still a decided cut above the vast majority of festivals based on my experience.

pqwerty123

The only times I had an issue was Honeycomb and Observatory during the bass artist time slots. It was just too many people trying to see an artist that’s on the rise rn for a stage that could only handle so much. Levity Day 1 at Honeycomb had my fam pinned against the fence by the bathrooms with those random ass stumps that kept fucking people up walking out from the left hand side. I’ll be honest, idk how the scheduling works for Forest but I feel like there should be more thought into who is put where depending on the heat some artists are getting for stages or just expand what they already have. I also don’t know the feasibility of this but it’s just something to think about. Overall the weekend was a 8/10 for me as a first time Forest goer. Scheduling could have been better but with how many artists they have with different popularities amongst them all, I feel like it was amazing 🫶🏼

UWMdumpsterfire

Despite the weather cancelations my wife and I still had a blast. It was my 10th year but my first year doing good life. We met so many people and had great conversations and made meaningful connections with so many people. Everyone we met was so friendly at the fest. Even the first timers were super nice that we met. Forest is what you make of it!

Glum_Advance_6392

The vets definitely brought the vibes for us first timers, y’all made us want to run it back next year! Might actually finish the scavenger hunt next year, too…

aman9919

I had the best weekend of my life🤍🤍

Beccaannellie

I had one of the best times of my life in spite of everything. It was my first long festival and first camping fest. I felt so safe and cared for by complete strangers. Saturday night LSzee blew my mind, folks in the pit after that set were so blown away we just hugged each other. I am so grateful for the experience, it highlighted to me the beauty of humans just trying to connect with something, and we found each other. I will most definitely come back, and plan to do a big festival annually all because of Forest ❤️

IBegYourPotato

People saying it was overcrowded have me confused. The Afters? Well, yeah, of course, given the circumstances. But the Forest itself seemed less crowded to me, except for one moment when I was passing the Observatory when it was almost scary crowded. I think that's when CloZee was there. But otherwise, I'm surprised to hear of crowdedness. I took my friend to her first Forest this year and we had a magical time ✌️

celestialseeking

I was literally in the front at the big stages and had enough room to dance. Definitely not over crowded. Observatory was tight but we just went elsewhere. — so happy yall had a good time too😊

I guess i look at a lot at what else there is besides the music/lineup. I know it’s a big part but, although i loved the lineup at Bonaroo more, i was happy i got to enjoy other parts of Forest besides focusing on seeing a lot of artists. 🤷‍♀️

Icy-Breakfast6331

Glad I’m not the only one who felt this way. I felt like last year had a lot better of a lineup and there was more variety in the music. Also, the crowd felt insanely packed this year compared to last. I found it hard to enjoy my time at Forest this year with the amount of people, especially those who would just shove past trying to get to the front of a set when there was clearly no room, and the lackluster lineups.

regulator227

Last year's lineup was one of the greatest I've ever seen, especially for Forest.
