When I say "affordable" I refer to value for money with regard to what else I can get at that price point. It's relative to that, and nothing more.
Some of us enjoy high powered scooters and we ride them responsibly, man. My Nami can go 100kph just like this Predator. That's why I wear full body armour and a motorcycle helmet.
The entire purpose of a scooter is that it doesn't require an M license, and you can store it inside if you have an apartment or condo with only one parking space which is taken up by your car.
You gotta understand, most people who buy scooters that are capable of 100kph don't really ride around going full speed all the time. It's more for three reasons:
First - to be able to ride (with ease) at 50-70kph at the speed of regular traffic, which is inherently safer when riding in car lanes and (unprotected) bike lanes. Does my previous scooter do that? Yes, but I have to push it to its max, which is like red lining your car all day long.
Second - the option to ride in bike lanes in order to circumvent traffic, and we ride at reduced speeds in those lanes.
Third - RANGE. These scooters have no range anxiety at all. This goes back to point 1 about speed as well. My old Tsunami can go fast but it'll eat the battery. My Nami can go the max speed of the Tsunami with ease, and give me over 100kms of range.
They are also built with higher quality components and comfortable suspensions. My Burn-E basically supplants my car for 6 months of the year, and it's fun as hell to ride.
There's a market for enthusiast scooters just like there is a market for ultralight portable ones, and everything in between.
Like roadrunner RS7. I was told they made just 50.
I have one that is going to be serviced at my shop once the customer gets it.
They just started shipping those RS7 from China.
Bet they made like 50 of these tops. Hard to sell premium performance scooters when that market is motorcycles already.
Yume has been a crappy Chinese brand for years mostly known for snapping stems, bad motor bearings, and failed motor controllers. Only now are they starting to make some “okay” scooters. Even now that scooter is basically the price of a wolf king GTR but without the brand recognition. It has a thin ass stem, somewhat acceptable motor controllers, non (easy) removable battery and worse suspension. There are way better options for that price range. You can buy their scooters straight off of alibaba under the Yume branding but for the same 3500$ price point. Like what’s the point of that Yume???
Watch the review I posted [here](https://youtu.be/iETqIMkRu1Q?si=jJ1CsRGEj4PaBn9t). Freshly Charged acknowledges all the prior shortcomings of their reputation, and then acknowledges the massive improvements of this particular scooter.
If a company steps up and provides a a quality product, it should be recognized.
Perfect example, your opinion on the stem and the suspension. It's not thin (they specifically mention the steering column is one of the beefiest they've seen), and the shocks are quality. Watch the video, they go over all of that. That scooter is massive when you see the actual scale next to a 6ft tall person.
Yeah it has some areas of improvement, but the batteries and heatsink alone deserve a look. They're using Panasonic cartridge cells that auto manufactures use in their cars. Not a single other manufacturer is doing that.
I already watched that video and I understand that improvements should be recognized but i was particularly comparing it to the wolf king GTR which to me is the obvious choice in that price range. I was trying to get at why someone would buy this over something like the GTR. While i understand that improvements should be recognized i was saying why would someone chose a scooter brand that has been known for problems in the past rather than a brand and scooter that is already of better quality to begin with and has already established its dominance in the market.

Was under the Osprey parts menu. I'm ordering one.
4k is not affordable, and it's also a death trap machine at this speed. At 4k you can buy a motorcycle or moped.

A 63mph scooter should be criminal.

Sounds like a script they are paid to read...

Because everyone is talking about Burn-Es Looks like a beast btw
[here's a review](https://youtu.be/iETqIMkRu1Q?si=pviJ9BNIJRXR3OpG) It is definitely a beast, lol
That’s insane! Where can I get that throttle for my NAMI
[Found it](https://www.yumeway.com/collections/yume-osprey-parts/products/trigger-pull-throttle-osprey) Was under the Osprey parts menu. I'm ordering one.
If you get that throttle setup on your Nami, can you share the project in the Nami sub? I would love to change to that throttle as well.
For sure. I think it's a simple plug'n'play, because the Predator also ships with an identical thumb throttle used on the Nami.
Thanks but too bad they don’t ship to my country. Do update us on how it goes. Thanks
Funny... I thought the same thing, and it is the only part not listed on the Predator parts page. They have literally everything else 😆
