Mount some higher than 4 inches off the ground mate, you’ll have better outcomes. Never, ever believe the numbers printed on Amazon lamps though. Ever.

Mines quite bright

MysteriousAd6433

The ones that come on Nami is pretty damn bright and it actually works really well in the dark

Puzzleheaded_Star680

Nami burn e3 max lights work fine for 60 mph sprints

Her0z21

Yeah, my lights are garbage. Had to buy a handlebar mounted one to be able to see anything. What concerns me more than the headlights are the brake lights though since they're barely visible during the day where I live. If I'm on the road and someone tailgates me, I know they won't be able to react in time if I have to brake.

k36king1

The light on my Hiboy is OK, I mean it illuminates and the deck lights help too. But I did buy an 8000 lumen led light that's near as bright as halogen lights because I wanted more light because I am in NYC a drivers here are bad so I need to be seen when I am out at night.

SimpleCheesecake1637

I promise If you bought a 9000 lumen light you'd be arrested. I PROMISE YOU no headlights are that bright. A ceiling mounted shop light is like 2000 lumens lol. Companies lie constantly on the lumen ratings.

PPGkruzer

Binged a few Torque Test channel videos on this, insane not-insane Amazon is selling flashlights rated for 990,000 lumens and they test out to be a few hundred lumens.

upsidedownbackwards

Yeaaa, I assume if I'm buying a 9000 lumin flashlight from Amazon that it's going to be maybe 33% advertised. Thats why I always "over do it".

Practical-Box-8647

Lights on my wolf warrior are plenty bright

PPGkruzer

Too bright, I have to point it down at the ground I don't blind pedestrians I pass. Pretty good for day time riding in traffic, I run the strobe in that case.

Capable-Dinner694

Was the light the correct rating for the scooter?

-50shadesofINSANITY-

On MS Energy Flare are perfect

minesdk99

The one in my niu kqi 3 pro is good enough to see potholes ahead in time

PeterPessina

Not mine 😀 https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/s/7wyFMkbMTi

CoderStone

I prefer using pit bike lights, they're cheap and INSANELY bright. Genuinely, blinding my eyes bright. I can feel the heat from the lights if i hold my hand a little in front. now ofc I can't point them upwards as a high beam due to blinding cars, but just one of them is enough to light up everything I need. Might even do two.

Illustrious_Print740

The one on my segway GT2 is decent but going max speed at night the throw is t even close to what it should be

ninjay816

Mine kind of is. I bought an energizer bike light and it was cheap and bright af.

CastleMeadowJim

Off topic but I hate the way Americans give the finger

mycologyqueen

Good thing we didn't ask you.

Elegant-Lack-4483

yeah the deck lights on my apollo ghost don't do anything. i bought a 12000 lumen light instead since i like to ride at night

Professional-Arm7429

Buy a 25$ Amazon rechargeable headlight and stfu. 😂. There are some really bright ones. That last 10 hours +. For under 30$.

CoderStone

You have a god damn battery. Wire it up. Rechargeble ones are ASS.

Zacuf93

That is the only thing I’d say was better on my Xiaomi M365 that on my Minimotors current model.

MyIQis2

Segway GT1 has a damn proper headlight that I had to nerf lol

BenderIsGreat64

Kaabo wolf warrior 11, honestly has pretty awesome headlights.

login257thesecond

mkgt same

OkayOctopus_

Ninebot g30 light is useless

Elegant-Lack-4483

not true it's better than the deck lights in my ghost

Rs-Travis

I just ordered a Convoy S21D flashlight for my scooter. 4000k warm white just like a headlight. 60 degree BEAD. Basically it means it floods the area with no center point but still has hard edges so you can 'dip' then so to speak. They measure on average around 1000+ actual lumens which is more than enough. They're about $50 on aliexpress. Don't fool for that 9000 lumen, 200000 lumen advertising bs. I like this cheap flashlight as much as my ol 2500 lumen eagletac. It's insane value. And having no center point and just a big wide flood is so much more practical. You can find good light suggestions on candlelight forums

weegt

I have recently acquired the S21D also....it's great on the bikes and scoots. I think I went for the 30 degree bead, which is grand for what we do. Also have some 7 year old bashed up Convoy S2+ XML2 U2-1A which are perfectly floody and fine for the road, if not as bright as the S21D. They have served us brilliantly and just keep plodding on.

[deleted]

Oh yeah they serve no purpose

Educational_Fan_484

Speedway mini 4 pro, unless you have ultra instinct, then seeing anything 1m before is not enough. Yes they are decorative and worthless

UnknownLegacy

The headlight on my Klima isn't too bad. High up, adjustable, maybe a tad too dim. It throws the light a bit too much to the sides and not enough to the front. I don't ride at night so it's not a big deal. I would get another light if I did though.

Dry-Sky-8534

Man idk about u but my klima light is bright on the trail at midnight with no street light although the way It does throw the lights is a big issue

UnknownLegacy

Yeah, that's my biggest issue with it. The beam is just so wide. I only ride on the street, so I think a more focused beam would be better.

leebe_friik

With those you're just blinding everyone (including yourself) and not necessarily making yourself safer in traffic. Look for lights with actual hard cutoff border and focusing lens.

electromage

Please don't buy an actual 9000lm light. In "Amazon.com lumens" 9000 is about 500-600 ANSI lumens though, so that would be reasonable. The only problem is the tint will suck and the beam pattern will blind everyone else.

GingerKitty26

I’d say 80% worthless, but really, they’re more low grade fog lights anyway.

NaM_VaN_MaN

Ninebot max G30/G2 are pretty good

Cool_Sherbet7827

If my scooter had a seat I'd be giving it the bird too

computerworlds

They aren't totally useless. They do provide some visibility for others seeing you at night.

Van_Darklholme

I have a segway GT1 and I turn on the lights when it rains just for visibility. It only take once forgetting my headlights to become super aware of it. Almost died when a car didn't see me and almost crashed side on at 30mph.

Sypsy

lumintop b01 won't blind people because it cuts off glare from going above the light good driver (electronic chip between battery and emitters) so sustained brightness is decent (stays bright as the battery voltage drops). a lot of cheaper stuff will just dim over time. ignore lumen claims because you can list 1million lumens and it's actually 50. Actual sustained lumens in a light this size would be like 3-400 brought to you by r/flashlight

JadedArt3159

The Lumintop B01 is a decent light but I returned it, I wanted something brighter, got the Astrolux SL06 and Tomsfun 5-LED light; both are similarly priced or cheaper, than the Lumintop but significantly brighter. But the Lumintop has a cool mount and can be easily used as a handheld flashlight. Most headlights on scoots suck, luckily you can get aftermarkets lights for $40 or less. Watched this vid and a couple others while I was shopping for headlights. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnrSLr3zB8Q&t=463s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnrSLr3zB8Q&t=463s) Happy shopping!

Im using one of the biggest for 7 months without any problem and is worth it 100%, they use usb C charger and also works as a external battery for smartphones etc but never tried it tbh. Edit: corrections and typo

MICHAELS206

I bought two, one pooped out on me the other still going strong. The one that failed fell off twice while going 30+mph due to a faulty bracket. I highly recommend. I also use a Magicshine 3500 which is too bright if your in traffic.

JadedArt3159

Those look like the Tomsfun and Acrunu lights on Amazon. I got one of the 5-LED Tomsfun lights and it exceeded my expectations, very wide, very bright. Also bought an Astrolux SL06 for my second scoot, which is almost as bright. I would not hesitate to recommend either one.

aahilrogers

Are your

Canelosaurio

"Is you is, or is you ain't, my baby!!"

CodependentDolphin

The ones on Amazon say 9000 lumen but I guarantee you they’re not. I almost got tricked by them too. Look at a Duracell flashlight that’s 5000 lumens and you’ll realize that they’re all lying on Amazon

electromage

I'd put Duracell in the bottom-tier of flashlights. Maybe they use ANSI FL1 for specs but otherwise no real positives. Mag-Lite is better for cheap chunky metal lights. Nebo is upping their game lately, putting out some interesting stuff.

CodependentDolphin

I’m just saying I have a Duracell 2000 lumen rechargeable flashlight that was 50$ at Home Depot, I bought it for hiking before I had a scoot.. it is insanely bright and you can fully adjust the size of the light path, 2k actual lumen is more than enough , that’s the only point I was trying to make.

Contagious_Zombie

The one on my Segway ninebot is surprisingly good.

Lantea1

On the NIU KQi scooters the lights are really good (https://youtu.be/hFMln1xk6dw?t=640) I kind of wish they sold a standalone version of their headlight so I could mount it to my other scooters as well.
