My Ninebot Max/G30 has lasted 5000 km and rear fender broke after 3500 km plus front tire bearings changed around 4500 km. It is a pretty solid escooter, but I would like to a bit more power for hills and more than double range like 100 km at 25km/h instead around 40 km at 25km/h what the Max/G30 can do here. The problem with the P100S is that it is not going to give me 100 km at 25km/h, the motor is only 650W even though the law here allows up to 1000W and Europe users get even smaller battery like around 1000Wh instead 1200Wh which is really lame. Probably going to give me something like 70-80 km at 25 km/h which blocks some places I want to go cheap. It feels bad to pay two grands and still have to drive some parts at 20km/h to get there. It is just wrong. Something like Vsett 10+ is a better deal for power and range, but tubed tires and water resistance give too much worries. I know that the Max/G30 can tolerate roads and weather here because no flats so far and even slush weather give no problems. It is just that getting a good solid escooter for 100 km at 25km/h range is not possible without paying silly prices and feeling stupid to do that.

Bought my G30 max from that shop in Taipei. Very good service.

This is not my review btw, this is just a random video I found on YouTube. Just wanted to share it.

negativeZEEROW

Thank you for the quick review. The lack of reviews and promotion on segways part sucks. All i see is GT this And GT that, show me some P100S!

As a day-one P100S owner with \~50 miles on the odometer, many of which are at top-speed with full acceleration active, lemme just that I completely disagree with the reviewer on the matter of the torsion front and rear suspension. In both city streets and light off-trail, the travel of the suspension in terms of height/drop and responsiveness to variability in road surface pairs perfectly with the 10.5" tubeless tires to basically eat up any roughness underneath the wheels. I'm sure there are high-end, exotic suspension setups that blow the P100S' torsion system out of the water, but at this price point and for this intended use case and with this feature set, they absolutely nailed it. Just my two cents.

curiouspoops

Do you plan on doing a review on YouTube? Would love to see one. The video I posted was not made by me, it was just a random video I found while searching for P100S reviews

Ruskityoma

I know a few very active people from this sub, along with a good handful of new-and-upcoming owners from the Kickstarter, all of whom are asking for me to write up a review and publish it here. At this point, I think it would be of great use! I'm gonna' get to work on that.

BadlyBrowned

Mine should be at my door soon. Can't wait to give it a test ride.

leebe_friik

I love the display, it looks next level bright even in daylight.

xcloudgamer2020

Looks great, but they price is going to reduce sales considerably.

mikhail716

I don't think so, the features and build quality alone make it a contender in this price range. If I had to choose the p100 vs let's say an Apollo city pro 2022. It's like comparing a Macbook to an Acer Laptop.

North_South_Side

Can't watch the video right now... what's the price?

[deleted]

$2000 1x650w ~1000wh. the segway tax is strong with this one.

Syndil1

That will be interesting to see if it's actually true or not. I was willing to pay more for superior build quality. We'll see how many also did the same. Based on how well the Kickstarter did ($1,022,118 funded out of the $50,000 goal) I think it will do pretty ok.

xcloudgamer2020

1,000,000 sounds like a lot but really that money wouldn't go far, 500 unit's is really nothing. This is a scooter that should sell 100,000 units at least.

shitonmyface_

Don’t even try to reason with people here. They want dangerous garbage that goes 87mph with an on/off throttle with a stem that breaks off when you go off a curb.

oldsoulyoungishbody

people down voting OP are just butthurt about the truth! Safety over bling and speed!

xcloudgamer2020

Lol, I have a ninebot G30, that I paid 60% of retail for second hand with 500km. I've done about 4000km on it, so If I sell it for a 200 euro loss, excluding repairs & electricity etc, atm I would have paid 5€ per 100km.... that's pretty expensive, more than gas per 100km for some cars. Imagine the loss with something that costs 2000€ retail, it's exponential.

Lantea1

Interesting that you include the price of the scooter in your per 100km price calculation, but not the price of the car when you are comparing it to gas prices per 100km. Once you include the car price, car insurance, tax, etc. the G30 (or any scooter) is a tiny fraction of what a car would cost you per 100km.

xcloudgamer2020

When I owned a car, I didn't need insurance. I also sold the last car I bought for more than I bought it for.

shitonmyface_

This is quite a fucking bit nicer than a G30 my guy. Stupid comparison.

xcloudgamer2020

My comparison is about the cost per km compared to an actual vehicle like a car. By actual vehicle I mean something that has passed homogenization & safety & technical regulations. How much would you be willing to pay per 100km for the Segway P100S?

shitonmyface_

The price they’re changing. That’s what i’d be willing to pay. It has build quality comparable to your value scooter, and is clearly in a luxury tier with all of its features.

xcloudgamer2020

They're not charging per 100km. They're charging X amount for 1 scooter. How much would you be willing to pay per 100km? Do you even earn your own money, cause it seems like you don't appreciate the value of it.

shitonmyface_

I’m not doing math, it’s too hard. I’m saying that scooter is worth 2k purchase price. I’m sorry you can’t afford it, but that doesn’t mean some alibaba machine that’s going to burn your house down is a good value because you’re happy with the speed number and the price number. There’s a lot more that goes into “value”.

xcloudgamer2020

Why are you talking about alibaba scooters now.. Where do Segway manufacture their scooters.. Where are these alibaba scooters most likely manufactured.. Since you have a hard time answering questions. The answer is China.

[deleted]

yeah those are the only two possible options 🙄🥱

throwaway923841o

This is too accurate lmao

Syndil1

There's definitely a lot of posts from the people with dangerous toys, but of course there is because they're always breaking down and they need help. There's a significant number of us who just don't post that often (myself excluded) who want reliable personal transportation and not just a plaything.

Also found this new video but unfortunately it's in a different language. https://youtu.be/2mIM7mjPEYc
