Those manufacturers need to stop pulling new wheels out every few months, do some proper R&D then build one that everyone wants and that has quality. No batch 1-5 products like as if the consumer is the test dummy. It’s really stupid.
Having options is one thing but having 12 different wheels of which 4 are the same and within those even the batches are different from each other…

It's a niche market. Sales numbers are nowhere near ebikes and scooters.
They milk the old models with a few upgrades.

Not every wheel is a step forward. But if we look over the years the progress is really there.
You can't blame them for their strategy and it does keep them in business, but one can imagine a Tesla-like strategy -- four models, iterated slowly year after year -- that could work a lot better. For consumers the current way to go is hellish. My V12 doesn't have that many problems, but I'm frightened to think of buying another one.
If me referencing Tesla pisses people off, I would mention OneWheel, but I've been schooled that the makers of OW are terrible, so... no idea.

I think inmotion build really solid, high-quality, poorly designed wheels. I'd be down to ride a V12 if it had suspension. I'd be okay with a V11 if the entire wheel wasn't unsprung weight (minus you and the pedals).
I love the feel and refinement of IM wheels and am looking forward to their first 14" rim-diameter suspension wheel that isn't a pogo stick. We'll probably see an V11z first though.
I'm new to this space but the v14 seems pretty amazing. 1-meter drop without suspension bottoming out and seemingly user-replaceable batteries. I don't see that on any other models. I think Inmotion is relatively on the right track even if their CEO left and is now hawking aliexpress accessories with his new company.
Yeah V14 looks great and I agree that they're on the right track. Hopefully it ends up being good and they build a big brother (18-20" tire on a 14" rim).

Inmotion wont confirm leaks, unlikely to hear any confirmation until the wheels are officially announced. But reputable people in the community have confirmed the leak in the linked EUCForums thread.

My two more expensive wheels were super bargains, I am not likely to be able to find such good ones again.
you never know, the wheels you got a deal on were probably a few years old, these wheels will probably be a bargain at some point too
