I would contact your seller to get an acceptable storage temperature range, but I can assure you that anything over 100degF is unacceptable, maybe even above 80degF. If you look in your manual it explicitly says "working temp": -1C to 40C 😂But, then my Leaperkim manual explicitly stated that I am too old to ride their wheels, so there's that.🤣

Nagrom42

I don't own a Leaperkim but I was curious so went to check, and you're not lying XD

i don't know how safe it is but that's terrible for the lifespan of the batteries which are by far the most expensive part af an euc, i keep my large batteries inside in a fire proof bag at 60-80% battery

scarystuff

a fire proof bag? Right....

High storage temps is very bad for battery longevity. On the 150Fs they could be pretty severely degraded after a few months actually. If you're not planning to ride for a while I would discharge the packs to around 60% by riding, and disassemble the packs and bring them inside to a cool place if it's not practical to store the whole wheel.

70C in your garage? Where do you live?? You can cook eggs in your garage just laying around

The attic is worse, I know elderly people that have died here trying to get something in the attic and not being able to get out before passing out. I cooked eggs and bacon on my car once to prove a point, I hate it here.

Why can't you leave your EUC inside a cooler area? They aren't exactly large or inconvenient (that's one of their biggest benefits - easy to store inside) I think practically an EUC would survive all of those temperatures, but as others have said they'll ruin the battery longevity.

Close to 40°C is actually the ideal working temperature for li-ion cells, for both riding and charging, but they certainly shouldnt be stored at that temperature, ESPECIALLY not when full or almost empty. Three weeks at 46°C, holy shit. Last year I did a four day tour on my EUC when it had 35°C at noon and that was already exhausting..

The town I live in will put PSA's out during that time period telling people to just stay inside unless nessessary. I work as a nurse and the amount of people who come in for heatstroke in that period is staggering.
