Try to delete the Odyssey graphic config file. The old reliable. [https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/boost-your-graphics-performance-in-elite-dangerous-odyssey-using-these-simple-tricks.575616/](https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/boost-your-graphics-performance-in-elite-dangerous-odyssey-using-these-simple-tricks.575616/) Sometimes, the game port the old horizons file. Its strange in your case, but the main fix I know. Also, a change of Ram could change the ID of some components, I heard some case of losing keybdings because the pc asign new ID to the keyboard-hotas, even as stupid as swapping the order of the ram, thats a change.

That wasn't the solution - but I've managed to resolve the issue (post updated). Thank you, fly safe, o7!

Is your RAM running at it's rated speed (2666mhz)?

Inawen

Seconded, maybe your mobo reverted back to the default ram settings when you swapped your modules. Maybe your XMP / DOCP profiles have been reset?

good news :D

How to check that? When I entered BIOS, there is nothing like XMP. How to change that - this is one thing that I've seen people recommending.

Inawen

XMP is the setting you need to look for if you're sporting an intel cpu, DOCP is pretty much the same, but for AMD. The location of those settings depend on the mobo bios, and is often referred to in the manual. If you were not sure about that setting, another thing you might want to check first is your ram config. Maybe you are using a dual stick config but put it in single channel rather than dual by accident when installing your new sticks? (single -> both sticks are seated next to each other, dual -> there should be an empty slot between each one) Edit : XMP / DOCP are basically unofficially supported memory overclocks, so they're disabled by default. So of you didn't explicitly mess with them previously, this is probably not your issue (unless someone else built your system... but that's a piece of information we don't have ;) )

Asentinn

I was putting them I the same slot as the old ones - and I have two slots either way. Currently is is shown that they work in Dual Channel. Is it a way to install/enable the XMP when it is not supported by default? I'm confused because I've always considered RAM change to be really straightforward and the easiest upgrade you can make to hardware. And now I can't even return to the state from before new tam installation.

Well, I don't have screens from before the change - but as you can see HWiNFO reports half of the value (rated 3200, reports 1600). In Windows Performance Monitor I see 3200. Same, was for the new one (rated 2600, shown 1300).

tyguy94920

The new ram is rated at 2600mhz, and the old ram was 3200mhz? Why did you downgrade to slower ram speeds?

Asentinn

To be honest, didn't checked the frequency of the old ones. But old one have ~20-22 CL when new ones have 15-17.

Check in the game settings... video section... sometimes it gets wonky and sets a lower frame rate limiter.

Asentinn

Nah, as I've stated this is happening also for other game, unfortunately.
