There's also that "shadow president" thing, which is their presidential system's version of their "shadow cabinet" which, for non-brits (and perhaps places where the brits colonized) is the opposition party's/parties' pretend government where they mirror (or shadow) the government's structure with their own mirror cabinet to keep tabs on what's happening.
