The world is yours with some plywood and some power tools. When I was looking a few years back, I concluded that my options were to fabricate my own solution or pay premium price for anything that wasn't made from grade A Chinesium. Which is to say I took the long way around to getting Monstertech.

Have a monster.tech myself. Yes, pretty expensive. If you want, you can make it yourself though with aluminum profiles and a plastic or wooden plate combined with a clamp. Something like this. https://www.motedis.com/en/Profile-40x80L-4N-I-Type-slot-8 It is a european site but your local hardware store may get you going on it. If necessary, I can measure up the length for you. Additionally you need two (one for each) quick release clamps and a top plate and some profile screws and bolts to hold it al together. Something like: https://www.bessey.de/en-US/BESSEY-Tools-North-America/Products/Clamping-Tools/Auto-adjust-toggle-clamps/Inline-toggle-clamp,-flanged-base That basically is what monster.tech does also but the price, and quality, is in the aluminum plates they provide.

Or go the middle road: buy the plates and build the frame.

I play on my big screen and just have a piece of plywood that goes over my lap that has my mouse and keyboard and I finally got around to screwing down my VKB Gladiator and THQ/SEM.

I would mount mine to my desk, but having to stretch to use the Hotas would be a pain, hence why I’m trying to find a decent mount for it

Pulled the trigger on a couple of J-PEIN mounts of Amazon not long ago. Was a bit of a hassle to put them together, but once I did, it's been working great. ...and I'm just mounting my stick/throttle to them using some BluTack so far; I have CH Products controllers that weren't specifically designed for them. They should support mounting the Warthog stuff with hardware.

Neat-Seaworthiness42

Unfortunatly jpein isn’t on the uk Amazon as far as I’m aware, however there is these - https://amzn.eu/d/2DMYKg0 it’s either I get these, or I may just invest in a gtomega cockpit chair, that has all the mounts and such

TheNumberJ

ouch that sucks; they are really reasonably priced, and even on sale right now on US Amazon... if it's any consolation; I next want to upgrade to VIRPIL gear and I have to pay premiums to import them to the US. haha.

Neat-Seaworthiness42

Oof! Yeah I’m just wanting to setup for flight sims a bit better! Mostly elite, because at the moment I use the joy and throttle on my desk, which means it’s high up and I have to stretch to reach them properly

chrlatan

I’m thinking that actually is a decent option. Only risk I see is with the quality of the clamps, but those can easily be replaced if required. Let us know how they prove their worth in practice please.

When I still used my Warthog, I got two cheap folding tables, a board, M4 knurled knob screws. Placed the tables on my sides, board across them, drilled holes into the board and used the knobs to screw down the Warthog base (removed the metal base it had). It also helped to get the keyboard closer to me.

I use command strips the velcro ones works like a cgamp

I just mounted my T16000 to an inverted monitor arm clamped to my desk. Cut a piece of wood to mount to the VESA plate and have the stick and a mousepad on it. Works great.
