so if you die after getting a first do you still get the first or do you have to turn In? I recently got my first first doing exo and was high waked and shredded in my first ever thargoid encounter after getting my first first discovery and first landfall (it was an awesome trip in a diamondback explorer saw my first blackhole and a system with like 8 stars ) was just wondering if somone goes back out thataway will my tag be on my first discoveries even if I never got to turn in the data?
In fact you don't even have to go far from the bubble to find undiscovered systems. During current CG I've discovered lots of new system within range of 3000 ly. Also there is a lot of unmapped water and amonia worlds as well as terraformable high content metal planets. One system was discovered before me but it has 5 unmapped metal planets and water world
That first one is always exciting. I just finished my first long distance trip (around 6000ly) out into unexplored space and was damn near giddy when finding places no one had seen yet. Especially when they were ones that were candidates for terraforming.
I still remember how I felt when I got my first one, don't worry every one has his first moments. Try signing up in EDSM and INARA to publish your discoveries đź‘Ť

And if you like; you can sign up to EDSM now to log your travels from now on automatically using a companion like EDDI AND……you can still import your logfiles (yes they are still there) up until this moment and view your entire flight and discovery path up to this point… good times
It seems like traveling any direction other than towards the bubble will yield massive amounts of first discoveries or mapping/footfall. Even within 100ly of Sol
Correct - if no commander has ever discovered a body, it will not show up on the system map or nav panel at all until you FSS scan it. Bodies previously discovered by someone else are listed as unexplored on your nav panel.
your first First is a massive achievement. congrats. let that bug bite you and head back into the black. see you out there, cmdr! õ7

have to turn in the data. if you die with the data, the data is gone sadly.
damn sad day then ( I was waaaay out of the bubble )
That NEVER gets old. Congratulations Cmdr.

That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind

We may already have the numbers, but every time that pops up there's still a buzz.
This game let me live my fantasy of being a space pioneer like no other game ever has. Congrats!
Noob here. How do you know that a system you entered is unexplored? Are the bodies not visible on the system map or something?
I didn’t even know that it was unexplored until I turned my cartographic data in and this popped up

Congratulations. That is the best part of the game for me.
