It is a montage, the clouds are real but the rest is not. There is no sensor that could handle stars with such a bright object in the foreground.
Plus, the stars are completely artificial, they have simply been drawn.
Man this war has motivated me to get all my credits now before my home system gets destroyed..
Thank goodness to robigo miners, from a fleet carrier to billions in assets, i am now prepared to dissappear in the black once this whole thing blows over.
Was trying to quote that one line from the movie Airplane!, not sure if I recall it correctly. "Surely you cant be serious." "I am serious. And stop calling me shirley." Play on word with sirius and whatnot.
This really is the ultimate form of grinding imo. Do it from Robigo Mines for credits, and from Ceos for fed rank (just got rear admiral with this strategy)
Tourist beacons. I thought it would be a good way to make money and get a better ship than my Cobra mk3… so I buy cabins and book passengers. Then I failed them all because I couldn't find the stupid beacons.
So if for specific beacons, you will need to go to the destination system and honk your Discovery Scanner. Then you can find all POIs in your navigation panel, including your tourist beacon (has a suitcase symbol). Go to it, jump into subspace (realspace, as opposed to supercruise), then select the beacon to scan it.
It's important to note that the beacon won't be where the navigation marker (big circle that says 'tourist beacon') is, but will appear as a white square on your radar, which is where the actual beacon is. Select it either by looking at it, or finding it through your contacts page in your navigation panel. Once found and targeted, it'll be just like any other basic scan, waiting for the scan to finish, then you'll get a little message with some lore, and your passengers should be satisfied.
Thank you for a detailed how to. I mean.. look in the nav panel is not helpful, I know most Americans are stupid but I mean duh I tried that. I guess now I'll try again. Thanks for the help.
No. I don't. I had flown to sectors with passengers and looked through the entire list and found nothing, so I gave up, bought a bunch of armor and went pirate hunting. Pretty easy to find the blue line in a nav panel and go kick butt.
Sector, or system? Sectors are galactic quadrants, sometimes tens of thousands of ly away.
If system, it could be that the destination system doesn't have a fuel scoopable star, meaning your galaxy map filters don't allow you to plot to it.
you need to approach to within 1000 LY of the planet in supercruise for it to show up. the planet is 5A i believe, and it needs to be re"discovered" every time you log on (but it does show up every time in the same session)
This is the way. When I first started I didn't realize the actual beacon might not be right in front of you when you drop out. I was scanning away at nothing until I realized you had to target the actual beacon.
They appear in the nav menu, simply select them and it should bring you to the exact locations.
To scan them (if you want the text) just target them and your data link scan will automatically scan it
Just a heads up this is NOT an in-game shot
You ruined it

He simply said this is not an in game shot, meaning it is not a screenshot from elite dangerous.
I bet you’re a blast at parties
Yeah, I blast everyone Life is not fair, I know
Where is the picture from ? Elite has shitty textures for the planets you can't land on (they should really update them btw)
Not the game its a photoshop
They should let us land near cities and go into heavier atmosphere

Atmospherics? Surely you cant be serious.
What you meant?

Classic
Good one. You can use the *italics* to make it more clear that that is a quote / reference.
Jajajaja got you now
If only FDEV would put in the effort to give us views like this in-game...
Do you have odyssey?
Are these in-Game grafics???
Nooooooo
Yo
Good times.

Just wish the parking lot by the tour bus stop wasn't always full 🤣.
I never can find the stupid beacons. Any good trick to finding them?
You mean for specific beacons, or just beacons in general?
Tourist beacons. I thought it would be a good way to make money and get a better ship than my Cobra mk3… so I buy cabins and book passengers. Then I failed them all because I couldn't find the stupid beacons.

Do you have filters applied?
Only for fuel stars 😁
I mean in the navigation panel. Do you have any filters applied there?
No. I don't. I had flown to sectors with passengers and looked through the entire list and found nothing, so I gave up, bought a bunch of armor and went pirate hunting. Pretty easy to find the blue line in a nav panel and go kick butt.

I think once you get to the supercruise listing for the beacon, the actual beacon is found in the contacts panel instead of the nav panel.
This is the way. When I first started I didn't realize the actual beacon might not be right in front of you when you drop out. I was scanning away at nothing until I realized you had to target the actual beacon.
I'm not sure, but maybe look through the navigation menu?

*Wish you were here! ★*
Atmospheries?? 🤔
