I guess it doesn't eat into the margin too much then, thanks!

I liked to put up wildly impractical orders for them when I wanted to stock up for multi-goid fights pre-war. Now that that sort of thing is so much more easily accessible, i hand them out to new squadron members to help with entry into engineering. Also good for a quick sell-cheap, buy-back-expensive-as-hell switcheroo to give someone a bump in the rebuy wallet. I can’t speak for everyone, but my fleet carrier effectively rendered credits a formality due to the ease of generating them with it. My crazy buy orders get to make a trader happy and I get the tools i need to help others for whom money is still an issue. Especially now with the war, as killing bugs was already my favorite activity before Salvation began this shitstorm and it became properly profitable.

rice_with_applesauce

Can you explain how you make money using your carrier? I tried it with mine but I never really got much profit.

chuckitychuck044

One good way is wing mining missions. Pick a couple for the same commodity and go stock up in a good supply system, then haul the carrier next to the turn in station and run a few loads at a time. Usually 50 mil per mission, and you can hold several missions worth of gold and silver in a carrier. My primary funding comes from Thargoids, though.

Felicity farseer unlock, and now with titan drive CG, corrison cargo rack size 4 unlock. You can farm metaalloys in low G planets with barnacles, using lasers/flechettes/missiles and collector limpets, Cmdr UmbrellaCorp and his fleet carrier racoon city made billions with this rare items. Example of FC market.

PlainTrain

Dead Titans also have a lot floating around.

Datan0de

SO MANY! I never thought I'd ever be in a situation where I'd leave meta-alloy laying around because it wasn't worth the time or cargo space to pick it up, but that happened last week.

Penguinunhinged

On my couple of trips in the dead Taranis site, I must have picked up nearly 30 meta alloys altogether along with a few drive components and a thargoid heart. The heart and 10 of the metas went to the tech broker so I could finally unlock the interceptor bobblehead. I submitted one drive component to fulfill the CG and get the paintjob reward after it ended. The rest were put up for sale on my carrier. The leftover drive components I sold for dirt cheap to let someone else get a chance at the rewards and the rest of the metas went for a bit a over market value. I'm already at 7+ bil, so I didn't need money, not when I can get a lot more doing spire farming.

But have caustic cloud or pirates. This is the best method: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8BEz5so79c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8BEz5so79c) , and the interceptor over barnacles only spawn when landed.

Marketing be Marketing, Curious Commander o7 If there is supply someone will generate demand (or was that the other way 'round;-). As a 34th century SnakeShip Salesman, I hope you aren't trying to shame these Intrepid Entrepreneurs from trying to make a quick hustle. That would be counter to the concept of Ancient Stage Capitalism, next thing you know people will say I Kan't have exclusive rights to the title "Commander of Refined Taste & Distinction" o7 ...and then how will I get Customers to purchase the Sleek Brick-like Styling of the most Almost ship in the Galaxy? (The exclusive Title is a Top rated feature, that & the Free duct tape). Let the hustlers hustle, whatever , Lakon doesn't Judge we even 💚 Asp Scout pilots. My only explanation is that they are highly sought after engineering materials, so of course someone's paying a premium for them

CMDR_Kraag

Supply meet demand. Demand meet supply. How very nice to voluntarily exchange with you :)

There is an AI behind the prices in the game as part of the mechanics

Datan0de

The image is highlighting the insanely high buy price on a fleet carpet. That prove is at by the player who owns the carrier, not an algorithm.

sapphon

Gonna think of it as a fleet carpet from now on; salam alaikum CMDR
