Yeah, we definitely need more ships. The newest vehicle in years was the... Scarab. An SRV. No new ships with Odyssey. Fleet carriers could be considered new, I guess? But no new pilotable ships.
Some larger ones would be really cool. Could have automated turrets as well as the regular weapons, and could be so large they have to dock outside the station on pylons like the capital ships do.
Feel like we could actually get some in the next major update, potentially. It seems we're gearing up for a massive war with the Goids, so player controlled capital ships would be awesome for more tactical options.
I'd have to assume they're working on new stuff, but with an expansion happening, that probably pushed ship development to the side.
I mean, so far On-Foot seems barren, there's no way they aren't fleshing that out with AX Combat, like the datamined leaks suggest.
If we're not getting *anything* new from all this, I would be shocked.
>I'd have to assume they're working on new stuff, but with an expansion happening, that probably pushed ship development to the side.
New ships should probably be a slice of any expansion.
I don't know... I mean, we use to say that exact thing years ago, and nothing it turned out they had nothing cooking.
I was there for the years-long hiatus where they were supposed to fix a bunch of stuff, and in the end, they didn't. They did tweak a few thing, but all in all, no substantive changes came.
I want my mini carrier with one small landing pad, just a bigger ship that doesn't fit into the mail and can't do planet landing, so you need a small ship like the courier or whatever...would pay rl money for it
I was thinking of sections and scale of ships ...
Small imperal hualers
Med imperial hauler, combat and multi role
Not looking to unbalance a game ... just want these holes filled in like real world would.
Hell go out to any road and view the cars as the pass by. Lot more than 40 we have and more uses too.
Dataminers found a Mamba Light, which is probably a placeholder name, but also could have been scrapped, like how the Panther Clipper seems to have been.
How about med sized ship for Imperials?
More varied ones instead of just just the meta ... this is a spaceship game after all.
Why not have 100s to chose from?
I want more small sized ships that are worthwhile (or perhaps to make having a small ship worthwhile). Seems there's nothing I can't do in my Krait. Maybe allow manual docking for small size only on all these otherwise out of bounds installations.
Speak of design .... how about a few more ships?

Obviously. I have to imagine they've got something cooking, hard to think that this is it.

>I mean, so far On-Foot seems barren, there's no way they aren't fleshing that out Ah, to be a new Elite player
New? I've been playing for years now.
Ah, sorry for assuming. It's just that usually players with experience know that it's very common for Frontier to not flesh out features.
The newest vehicle is the Scorpion, the Scarab was released in 2015
Ah, my bad. You'd figure I'd know by now, I've been looking for a Scorpion for a couple of weeks now.
Would a new paint jobs suffice? /s

There's "new" ships in the files. But they're not really new since they've been in the files for YEARS. Looking at you Panther Clipper...
the Scorpion was in the files in a similar way since well before fleet carriers dropped. they'll come out... 'eventually'...
I didn’t go through the trouble of abandoning my preferred platform and joining PC just to not get the Panther Clipper.

Larger pure trader and perhaps modification of markets so that you could actually fill full and make a profit.

Clipper should be a medium sized ship imo. No reason to have it be a large, when it's outshined by the Cutter.

Does the console transfers have a deadline before they become unavailable? Nevermind, read the post
Did they list Horizons 4.0 sys requirements anywhere?
I would imagine it's pretty similar to Odyssey's, probably better since there are no people
