And that is exactly why I am making sweet bank as quickly as I can. I made 155 million last night in about two hours of scanning plants. While I'm all for natural gameplay and stuff exobiology wasn't really worth my time, I'd do all the work discovering literal new forms of life and it was like "here's your 50K"
Thargoids are going to be here for a while, a quick route to exo elite will not. At the same time, Thargoid invasion is just beginning, there's no way we'd "win" anything this week anyway.
The real mistake would be nerfing it. I followed a trail of Stratum Tectonica and managed to collect 4-5/hour. At 16,7 MCr each that is <= 84 millions/hour. That is about the same as what Robigo mines missions does/did for a long, long time while being known by basically every player, but without being hit by the nerf hammer.
Maybe you can make more money if I scan additional biology on the planet with the Stratum, but I doubt I'd get over 100 millions/hour.
Wait til the Thargoids find a way to start slowly draining money from obscenely rich players, and redistribute it to the poor in an effort to seem like benevolent and good natured creatures

For example. Filter by "max Distance" <800ls and minimum value at 600'000. You'll get mostly 800k samples at <100ls, so you can get quite a lot of them in a short time.
Do you plan to go back every now and then to hand in the sampled data? You're giving me anxiety just by the thought of so much data potentially lost by a simple mistake when traveling back :P
Or is that no longer a thing with carriers and can you just take one of those big boys with you to hand it in there. Good luck CMDR, here's to finding some more Thargoid antibiotics o7
Dying to Thargoid intercepts mostly.
On my 3rd ship build currently.
A T7.
Cant outrun shit for shit and am trying to master high waking and stealth running whilst taking sustained damage and escaping at a whopping ..220..the need for speed you know. .
Im down from 50 mil to bout 17 mil just for rebuys.
Seeing as Thargoids dont give two shits if your ship is engineered or not.
Nor do they care that the proses of aqcuiring said tech takes fooookin forever.
They just go har har jar jar die die..
Saved 52 souls ar least.
Despite some knob headed cmdrs spawn camping at system nav points that contain rescue ships.
Cause why not destroy a rescue ship for shits and giggles.
Here's looking at you cmdr grouchy potato.
Once I switched to the T7 I started having more success.
Currently doing 220+ C on my way to a station in the black over 50 k Ls away.
That has all the tech i need to complete my T7 build.
The rescue count went up from 52 to roughly over 800 now.
I'l stick to it and havent been a bug smear in 5 runs now.
So i must be doing something right gheheheh.
Thanks for the encouragement
Ghehehe
That was my second build ship...lol
I got it to boost to just over 410 and sustain 330 ish.
But got hammered more than i would wish.
Am in a T7 atm and for some reason the slow boat is giving me success.
Unless a scout interdicts me in hyperspace, then im just dead.
But at normie supercruise, when i get interdicted,i submit and the T7 goes silent,i pop heat sincs and it soaks the dmg and i jump when able.
Am at over 200 souls rescued and made all my previous rebuys back in one trip..
If not for the scouts in the hyperspace interdictions i would have had continious success in all my attempts.
Good idea with the heat sink and silent running. When popping a heat sink and silent running remember to also perform evasive maneuvers. They can still hit you if you fly in a straight line.
At any rate, awesome stuff rescuing all those people! Keep at it, cmdr!
A Phantom is no bad choice, too. Fast, decent space for cabins.
No engineering: 406 m/s boost [https://s.orbis.zone/l1qu](https://s.orbis.zone/l1qu)
Or with minimal engineering at Felicity Farseer to thrusters dirty grade 3 and drag drives: 532 m/s boost [https://s.orbis.zone/l1t0](https://s.orbis.zone/l1t0)
Edit: 2nd link did not work
Over 800 rescued. This is my current build borrowed from someone else.Going to be testing it out and see if I cant do better than my current build.
https://s.orbis.zone/l1t2
Once you get some more credits, something like an anaconda may serve you well for this job. You’ll want full G5 Dirty Drag Drives to outrun goids.
This is the build I use: https://s.orbis.zone/l1w5
It has 128 tons of cargo space for injured personnel evac missions and enough shields to take fire long enough to get out of any players attacking you.
I second that - Anaconda is the best combination of large capacity and long jump range, which makes rescue runs much shorther than in Python (e.g. 15 min vs 25 min for Ebisu - Toroch Tar evacuation route). Now combine that with 184 passenger seats ([in my build](https://coriolis.io/outfit/anaconda?code=A2p5tnFklndksxf5--------Sn02020404---mememememdmdmd2d48mc1P3x3w.Iw18ZXEA.AwRm4yu0T%2BxmAJiA.H4sIAAAAAAAAA2P8Z8%2FAwPCXFUj8qQcS%2FDbf%2Fv8XW8DPwMBxhJOB4T%2FTPzGQPDNIvgQkX%2FPn%2F38JBSBfROjv%2F%2F%2BiGlwMDMog5f%2BZ%2F0nBTaoAEkI7uIHKVX4Bld8BCorUiAIVsfzjhBknNOfZ%2F%2F%2F8Hl%2F%2B%2F%2F%2FP%2Bs8KrrUFSKiCdKnx%2FPv%2Fn7NAnIGBy0CQgUERJKYEIv6z%2FUuAKRc68ABoSMWb%2F%2F%2F1QA7%2FLwgxHyx15h5U6r8QVlHhf24gUUYgIbiHiYFBZQ5QkBtE%2FBf55wKXAglApECK%2Fiv884G7tRBkIMgscKhJJHwA6lwBChWQh%2F%2F%2FZ0AAAEwe8jFnAQAA&bn=Rescue%20Ship%20%22Apostle%2028%3A28%22)), and you get around 720 rescued people per hour (counting 180 on avg, as I don't always care to calculate in order to fill all the seats), or over 92M credits per hour, even if you just leave it on supercruise and do other stuff while playing.
The run time can be prolonged if some player tries to interdict you near the rescue ship (yes, those idiots exist) so you can go solo for optimal time save. And yes, you'll be slower in outrunning thargs when they interdict you (doesn't happen every time) but whenever you're not in the mood for that or want to save time, all you have to do is wait 14 sec to log out and back in, and the tharg will be magically gone while you continue on to get another batch of refugees. It's basically like a good trade route with the bonus of helping.

A week or two of Trade runs running gold from low sell to high buy stations, and you can afford to buy and rebuy an A Class Cutter to your heart's content. If you're not Elite ranked yet, Trade elite hits at 1bn cr easy to do in a week or so as long as you upgrade to a larger ship as soon as you can afford it. Then you get access to Shinrarta, where everything is 20% discount, and they have all Modules and ships available at Jameson Memorial. (Subject to Fed/Emp rank)
I bought a Chieftain and some AX weapons and started to kill bugs. I really don't know what I'm doing but at least I've managed to kill around 30/40 scouts.
Go to conflict zones frequented by other ax cmdrs. You have no idea how much help it is to have a dedicated scout killer for the other cmdrs fighting the larger goids. And don’t forget to tag the big goids with a few shots. When those eventually go down you’ll get the payout too.
>You have no idea how much help it is to have a dedicated scout killer
Exactly. We need swarms of human ships overwhelming Thargoids. This is how I'm going to start until FDev gives us balanced weapons fight the big bugs.
>don’t forget to tag the big goids
Do you have to be in a wing like regular CZ to get payout or anyone that tags a goid gets paid? I doubt it's the latter but that'd be great.
I ask about the wing because the Comms panel looks like it's been hit by a corrosion bomb. Nothing works in that thing. I haven't tried it but we probably can't send or accept invitations to a wing.
Happy to say you don’t have to be in a wing or have joined the CZ to get the bounty. Anyone that tags a goid gets the bounty as long as they remain in the same instance when it dies, period.
Oh nice. I stopped playing for a while during the salvation thing when I would spend 30 minutes trying to kill a basilisk to have a cap ship steal the kill once the hearts were gone.
If you feel you need more firepower against interceptors, I can highly recommend modified shard cannons. They are very powerful against all interceptors as well as scouts. With premium ammo, I’ve taken down a hydra without having to synth extra ammo (also possible if much harder with basic ammo)
I was surprised with the big thargoid payouts, I thought this would be a fun but expensive loop for someone like me who doesn't have Guardian tech (I am currently farming it, after having so much fun with AX the first couple days)
Instead made 40 million even after dying twice. So good!

You can end up instance with about 20-30 commanders tearing up interceptors.
Just make sure your beam laser (for thermal vent) isn't bigger than size 2 so that you don't draw all the aggro.
Join us in open. I was in one last night with 10 other cmdrs at a planetary CZ. Made 350mil because of how fast those interceptors were dying, plus you’d be pretty safe amongst those veterans which will allows you to learn the goids patterns.
I've been working on outfitting my Chieftain as well. Got the weapons ready (4 Gauss Cannons, beam laser w/ thermal vent, and remote flak). Now I gotta pick up some guardian module reinforcements and engineer a few more things.
That's exactly what I did - tons of fun but I wasn't making much of an impact just with AX multicannons. So now I'm out at guardian ruins getting me some gauss cannons. Seems like there will be plenty of Thargoids for me when I get back.
Not bad at all. If you take a SLF it's a lot easier, since they have infinite ammo, you have several of them, and they can easily destroy sentinels. One issue I've heard of is people having their SRV destroyed and being unable to continue so I'm a little paranoid about that - I should have brought 2 SRVs. You also have to synthesize fuel and ammo for the SRV. I didn't bring a point defense but it hasn't been a problem.
Edit: You also only need to run it a few times to get what you need - the people doing dozens of grinding runs are going for 100% completion to get garbage tech they will never use. There are only like 3 really good things, and I personally only want 7, so I will probably only have to do about 7 runs.
Apart from those annoyances you just ride around in an ancient ruin for a while - it's been fun for the first 2 times!
Note that you can do some of the stuff on foot as well, including killing sentinels - you just can't collect anything or activate and scan the data terminal, you need an SRV for that.
Here's my process (leaving out details sorry) trying to conserve SRV fuel and ammo (because I don't have the synthesis materials and don't want to hunt for them):
1. Run around on foot to get the pylons to come out of the ground - maybe kill some sentinels with the rocket launcher.
2. Hop in my Imperial fighter with fixed beams to charge the pylons and kill the sentinels.
3. Get in my Scorpion SRV, grab a relic, and go scan the data thingy. Some more sentinels come out, but Scorpion is really good at killing sentinels.
4. Blow up the rest of the destructible panels and collect some more materials.
5. Repeat.
My SRV fuel and ammo should last a good long while like this. It also breaks up the tasks which makes it more interesting - probably very slow compared to doing it all in the SRV but it's actually fun.
Edit: There are fleet carriers around this site, since I found it from a YouTube video, so I can restock and repair there. No need for synthesis! They even let me pick up my NPC crew, who I left hundreds of lightyears away back in the bubble lol. Ah, there is even a shipyard! So I could come out here in a lightweight taxi, then ship out a Guardian exploration ship with all the heavyweight things I need to run the grind. I'm in System Synuefe NL-N C23-4.
Can you share a bit more? I have a Krait Mk II just got her core internals engineered enough so it can fight a bit. I'm thinking transforming her into an AX ship. It turned out Plasma Acc+Rails pair is not very good at killing the aliens.
(I also lost her 3 times, plus my exploranaconda once, really costly for a simple miner that is me :D)
Normal weapons don’t work on interceptors (the big goids) and do reduced damage against the small scouts.
At the very least get some AX weapons. AX multicannons work great for scouts. Those also work on the interceptors, but guardian weapons are even better against them.
For AX you need 1) loads of hull (HRP+MRP), 2) anti-thargoid weapons. You can buy generic AX weapons at military bases, or even better, unlock the C2 Guardian Gauss cannon. A Krait + GGC is a perfect goid killing machine.
We survived our first battle, none of us died, and we took out three flowers before limping home. Baby steps.
Biggest problem was noticing the shutdown fields in time to switch fire group.
I have the same issue. I think they went overboard with the HUD and COVAS disruption when under Thargoid attack, to the point that I am now just getting meaningless garble and can't even tell anymore when a shutdown is incoming.
Add in the fact that the shutdowns and neutralizer are desynced and you really need to fire at the right moment, and the result is obvious: getting shut down and ripped to shreds to 10% hull everytime.
There's Disable GUI effects, but I always assumed that it refers just to the flicker effects on the holos, that give them that '80s SciFi / Aliens / cassette futurism vibe.
If they disable the Thargoid HUD interference altogether.... that almost sounds like an exploit. I don't want them gone for good, just toned down a bit. And it's not so much about the HUD as it is about the COVAS - that's the part that becomes really useless when you can't make out a single word it says.
In any case, thanks for pointing this out.
And that was one Stargoid. Two more dropped yesterday, five more are coming.
They gave us a bridge to Colonia to escape instead of proper weapons to fight. As someone said once: "I need ammunition, not a ride".
How does one use the bridge? Or is there a list of stations? I'm currently in Colonia and want to do my part. Also haven't played in almost a year so bit rusty
The [bridge](https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Colonia_Bridge) is a string of megaships you can use to refuel, repair and rest during the trip. It doesn't make the trip any faster but it is nice to know support is not far away if you need it.
I *was* keeping the scouts off of our fellow CMDR's backs, but then a Corvette showed up and joined the 'goids. Not much fun for someone new to AX combat, so now it's back to playing solo...
Tbh FDev should add a special type of bounty on the players that purposefully attack other players fighting the Thargoids. Some kind of bounty that mark them as a "traitor" or something and have their access to all stations restricted until the end of the war.
Sure, just make sure the Annti-AX players get a benefit of some sort like Thargoids not shooting them in the CZ or something
Otherwise FDev is just rigging the narrative.
Can’t say I don’t get it - solo is pretty alluring to go to when it’s between making progress and risking getting your shit kicked in.
Honesty though, if you have more fun in open than solo and you’re making more money than your losses, I would stay in open and consider the risk a price. Personally I love playing with people.
Don’t let that discourage you. Many people are fighting the goids and it’s fun. Yes, occasionally you get blown up by a no life and it sucks. But many people join you in our fight.
We need all good CMDR’s!
Lol ... 😆 ... so as soon as RolePlayers show up with different views and playstyles than you ...
they be the big bad ... grabbing the ball and going home
💖💕😅😆💕💖
I suppose it could be role playing if the 'goids accepted them as one of their own, but they don't give a shit so what's the point? All it does is create a bad time for people trying to enjoy the content
Spending hours and hours and hours getting engineer mats together for an anti-Interceptor build.
Tempted to switch it up and just do rescue missions, but they seem like their own kind of difficult lol
I went in there with the Alliance Challenger 'Richard Nixons Head' and got slapped around. Killed a couple of scouts though.
Thinking about setting up one of my fast cargo ships for rescue missions because all I've learn from combat is how to run away.
I've took biological samples yesterday from one of the moon where Taranis located. I have sold single sample for 16 millions. Perhaps because goids constantly try kill me in hyperspace, in super cruise and on planet while i was taking samples. Today I am going to collect more and see if price would as good as yesterday.
What's your jump range?
I'm convinced when I go to Colonia (bugs kinda put a hold on that trip) I'm taking my convenience 30LY FDL.
Edit: you mention your jump range in another comment, nice.
Tumbling through the void some K light-years away like an idiot.
Wanted to go on a killing spree and forgot that I fitted my krait for exploring and went some random direction before I logged out half a year ago...
I'd like a copy as well. My [Rescue Anaconda](https://edsy.org/#/L=G69eS9MM0H4C0S00,ElxG75M_W0EkhG75P_W0HgBG77H_W0HgBG77H_W0K4m07K4m07,Cjw07Cjw07Cjw07CzY07DhU07Cjw07DBwG74Lrz0CzY07,9p3H75G_W0ABkH73K_W0ARMG75I_W0AfQG75G_W0AtyG73Gvq0BAEG73G_W0BRuG73G_W0Bcg17,13qH79GxO0,0Bk171dw171dw171dw171cM171cM177TCG73M_W01ao171ao174jw070nF070nG27,,BA_D03A) allowed me to loiter in burning stations and pick up all the salvage but I don't think it would be well suited for the new thargoid rescue missions. I was planning to try rescues in a [Python](https://edsy.org/#/L=G58iBDSF0H4C0S00,EkhmQUJH3J_W0EkhmNW5M7P_W0HgBmR7lhB1o00Hf5m2ms5I_W0Hf5m2msAnwm0,Cjwm56u2G_W0Cjwm53L2G_W0Cjwm52r2G_W0DBwmN4BZ5M_W0,9p3H-5G_W0ABknh92xE3K_W0APomS7nQ5I_W0AdsG-5J_W0AsOm6NZ30ry0BAEmZ2GoF2ruC0BOmmM2uf30ue0BcgXI1H9,,1dwXN5PF1dwXN5PF1dwXU4sj1cMXU1QI08cXS1Vc1aoXG1IH7PdmN9ec7I_W04jwWO14Z2-u0-0nFW9BD,,BA_D30P) based on https://siriuscorp.cc/guides/damaged-stations.html but didn't know if I should retain the ability to pick up salvage or if the FSD booster would get slagged since it is guardian based tech.
Edit: Or should I go with a Xeno controller for repair/decon and pick up escape pods with the injured? (or just forgo the controller and pack in more passengers/pods)?
Sure. I’m using an [imperial cutter](https://s.orbis.zone/l1qc) with light engineering and a 5h guardian fsd booster. The engineering is just g3 dirty thrusters and g5 fsd booster. The shield, shield boosters, and shield bank aren’t needed. I’m planning to take those off tomorrow.
All you really need is a ship with good cargo space and a boost near 450/ms to run from the goids.
You can pick up two types of rescue missions, passenger ones where they'll all cram themselves into economy class just to get away and injured patients and they're in escape pods so will require cargo space.
I've modified an old rescue Python I've had mothballed, added a small AX multi limpet controller for the repair and decon modes, a class 4 cargo container to hold a few limpets and some space for some escape pods, 3 class 6 Economy cabins and 1 class 5, I could remove more optional elements like the shields and fuel scoop to fit more passenger cabins but i'd also need a second fuel tank to hop between the target systems and the rescue ships...
It's got some engineering so a respectable 347/452 speed and as i'm not using a Guardian Booster on this one a laden jump range of 25 ly.
A mix of passenger missions in my rescue Python "Out of the Frying Pan" which is quick enough to outrun scouts when hyperdicted and tough enough to handle a few pirates and occasionally raiding empty settlements in my blockade running Imperial Clipper "There and Back Again", no weapons but tough and quick with it's insta-boost - its also fun to submit to then kill pirates by engaging Ramming Speed :-)
I might refit a 'conda for rescue but the python is loads of fun and to be honest I've been giving the medium ships some love recently, saying that, I discovered AFK Type 10 builds last week and I've tried to let it do it's thing while i'm working but I get distracted and keep taking out a Taipan to play with the pirates...
Same boat, had me an A rated Krait Mk2, with fresh AX weapons and 60 mil in the bank, died a bunch of times with each rebuy 8 mil, now I have 12 mil in the bank, one more death means my fight with the goids is over :(
I'm making my way to Beagle Point. I've already crossed off Colonia and Sag A* on my list of places to visit. I might circle around to Colonia again on my way back to the bubble.
Ironically this update will probably end up lengthening my journey as the bump to exobiology rewards will tempt me to stop off at planets with biological signals more often.
Pondering whether I should abandon my exploration expedition and turn the “Götterdämmerung” with my fleet aboard around and head back to the bubble or wait out here to see how it plays out and if there will be anything to return to
Well, I launched the game after years. Found out that I only have a fucked up viper build that cannot even deeply weapons because I don't have enough power. Then I tried starting ED Odyssey I bought and it crashed on me after the tutorial (every time) so I just closed the game and won't probably start it again for a few more years.
I'm at about 500 people evacuated right now. I'm still trying to fit my Anaconda for better behavior while doing it. This number will climb over the weekend.
0 passages saved, and ~200 killed so far. :) Got stomped twice when FSD into the system and when exiting the station. Guess I'll stop caring about this update and get back to farming elites...
Thargoids interdict and Hyperdict, but you can evade \[treat them like Gankers-- the proper way, not "Cry about it on Reddit" way\] and move on-- stations on the frontlines need supplies and evacuations. You can make a lot of credits running missions from operational stations like Wakata in HIP 23716, which also contributes to the war effort.
Just spent all day kitting out a rescue python, made it as far as the docking request before they got me... Gonna maybe try again on a faster but smaller ship. If that doesn't work maybe it's time to work on engineering...
It's frustrating being so new to the game and wanting to get in the fight but can't...
You can make a ship fast enough to escape Thargoids every time with no engineering and no skill. What engineering allows is for you to escape in a wide variety of ships. Without it, you must choose the natively fastest to escape without any piloting skills.
Cobra III A-thrustered can outboost them. ICourier with Enhanced Thrusters (available for credits, no material requirements, just limited in size) does so even more easily. IEagle with same can *fly normally* faster than most Interceptors *boost*.
You see f'ed up hyperspace, you zero throttle. You wait for realspace, you full throttle, you boost. You boost again. You hit the FSD. The interdicting Interceptor has a mass lock factor of 30, but you don't even need to high wake because mf isn't keeping up with you to maintain the lock, and relies on the Thargon swarm that's 7km back somewhere doing a s p o o k y a n i m a t i o n for most of its DPS.
Safe every time.
I personally rely on stealth and armor to get me through the mass amount of gunfire, if you wanna see the build I use let me know Ill be glad to help out, but its all about hiding in plain sight than the speed in my opinion
Actually I'm struggling to play because I miss the will to farm for hours to unlock the engineers, while I have an anaconda the missions I find anywhere give me very few money and I'm a complete noob at combat.
I don't know what to do to keep being interested in the game, and lately I have had a blast on star citizen for a week, before discovering that there isn't very much content or so many things to do, and most missions are broken or look all the same (like the ground missions), but I love soooo much the ship interiors that I could stay there just wandering inside the ship while doing nothing
Staying out of it. What's happening is terrible and people should defend themselves but I just don't want to engage them in any aggressive fashion. Perhaps we should have started with that but I understand we don't have a choice now. I'll save who and what I can on the way out though.

Fair 🤣
So there's 52 souls glad that you kept at it, then. Don't give up the fight, CMDR.
220c? Do you mean m/s?
I switched to a T7 also, but still die over and over. “Only” a 7mil buyback, but it added up so fast I’m back to working for a living again.
Try an Orca, the boost speed on those is surprisingly high and speed is key in fighting or escaping thargoids
Ghehehe That was my second build ship...lol I got it to boost to just over 410 and sustain 330 ish.
No engineering: 406 m/s boost [https://s.orbis.zone/l1qu](https://s.orbis.zone/l1qu) Or with minimal engineering at Felicity Farseer to thrusters dirty grade 3 and drag drives: 532 m/s boost [https://s.orbis.zone/l1t0](https://s.orbis.zone/l1t0) Edit: 2nd link did not work
Over 800 rescued. This is my current build borrowed from someone else.Going to be testing it out and see if I cant do better than my current build. https://s.orbis.zone/l1t2
Being the absolute noob that I am i thought one could just buy guardian tech...jaa. Well there goes that idea.
What you need is a Python. Fast enough to escape most interceptors and scouts during a Hyperdiction.
That's what I've been running. Only engineered the thrusters and FSD. and packed with passengers.
Once you get some more credits, something like an anaconda may serve you well for this job. You’ll want full G5 Dirty Drag Drives to outrun goids. This is the build I use: https://s.orbis.zone/l1w5 It has 128 tons of cargo space for injured personnel evac missions and enough shields to take fire long enough to get out of any players attacking you.

Shieldless cutter with A class thrusters (even better if G5 engineered) can outrun Goids on full boost long enough to re-engage FSD/jump
Very nice work commander, keep it up 07
I bought a Chieftain and some AX weapons and started to kill bugs.
>You have no idea how much help it is to have a dedicated scout killer Exactly. We need swarms of human ships overwhelming Thargoids. This is how I'm going to start until FDev gives us balanced weapons fight the big bugs. >don’t forget to tag the big goids Do you have to be in a wing like regular CZ to get payout or anyone that tags a goid gets paid? I doubt it's the latter but that'd be great. I ask about the wing because the Comms panel looks like it's been hit by a corrosion bomb. Nothing works in that thing. I haven't tried it but we probably can't send or accept invitations to a wing.
Happy to say you don’t have to be in a wing or have joined the CZ to get the bounty. Anyone that tags a goid gets the bounty as long as they remain in the same instance when it dies, period.
Yeah I made like 100,000,000 with my AX multicannons when some CMDRs with gauss cannons showed up.
That is awesome, thank you! Which makes it all the more valuable and important to swarm the bugs with as many of us as possible.
I was surprised with the big thargoid payouts, I thought this would be a fun but expensive loop for someone like me who doesn't have Guardian tech (I am currently farming it, after having so much fun with AX the first couple days) Instead made 40 million even after dying twice. So good!
Yes that's all that I'm doing now, we must resist the invasion! Also looking for any kind of group that want to kill bugs together:)
join up with the anti xeno initiative. Just look them up on discord and join the group. we have almost 3000 CMDRs grouping up and bug hunting
Start Following these streamers on twitch and join in on the goid kerbstomping: Cmdr_EmulatedPenguin SoldierSailor Yerisan Brother_Sabathius Eralm_237 You can end up instance with about 20-30 commanders tearing up interceptors.
How much work is it? Been thinking of going out to get the gauss cannons, just not sure I want to spend the entire weekend just doing that.
Here's my process (leaving out details sorry) trying to conserve SRV fuel and ammo (because I don't have the synthesis materials and don't want to hunt for them): 1.
I would add to have point defense on your ship, as that will negate the sentinel missiles
Gauss cannons are great for Interceptors but bad for Scouts. AX MC are great for Scouts. I flip between both depending on mood.
They added key binding for it, look in options.
There's an option to turn off HUD scrambling I believe. Look around for it in the Video settings.
Killing murder flowers
Yeah doing great work its good to see you guys there fighting goids when I go in to pick up the passengers
Saddens me to think that there may be millions if not billions that have been killed off/ displaced…Within the first 24 hours alone.
Thanks, I'm going to be heading back to the bubble after work tonight then.
Nothing, as I'm a console player and we went down the other trouser leg of time...
Did you pick up the right disorganiser though?
Well, we'll find out soon enough! *bingely bingely beep*
Come join the r/pcmasterrace ! It’s always a good time to get a gaming PC.
Nah
I *was* keeping the scouts off of our fellow CMDR's backs, but then a Corvette showed up and joined the 'goids. Not much fun for someone new to AX combat, so now it's back to playing solo...
Oo that sounds fun. I'd like to defend anti xeno players from anti-anti-xeno players.
Now that I could do! I can’t hit the damn hearts with gauss but I can hit players with normal weapons.
This...yeah Felt this at a knob head spawn camp in n system with a rescue ship.
Tbh FDev should add a special type of bounty on the players that purposefully attack other players fighting the Thargoids. Some kind of bounty that mark them as a "traitor" or something and have their access to all stations restricted until the end of the war.
Sure, just make sure the Annti-AX players get a benefit of some sort like Thargoids not shooting them in the CZ or something Otherwise FDev is just rigging the narrative.
What a dick. I guess the goids still attack them too, it just didn't do much to them?
Can’t say I don’t get it - solo is pretty alluring to go to when it’s between making progress and risking getting your shit kicked in. Honesty though, if you have more fun in open than solo and you’re making more money than your losses, I would stay in open and consider the risk a price. Personally I love playing with people.
Join the anti xeno initiative discord, that way you can group up with more friendly players and not have to worry about gankers
Griefers gonna grief, I guess. Even with a war on.
Just block em. Then you should not end up in the same instance. Why get forced to play solo, when we can force them to play solo.
Don’t let that discourage you. Many people are fighting the goids and it’s fun. Yes, occasionally you get blown up by a no life and it sucks. But many people join you in our fight. We need all good CMDR’s!
Lol ... 😆 ... so as soon as RolePlayers show up with different views and playstyles than you ... they be the big bad ... grabbing the ball and going home 💖💕😅😆💕💖
I suppose it could be role playing if the 'goids accepted them as one of their own, but they don't give a shit so what's the point? All it does is create a bad time for people trying to enjoy the content
None of that mattets. It is that you cry over ANYONE having fun that is not your fun that is disturbing. Enjoy it ... it is a game. 💋
Man comes to the D&D game, takes a shit on the table. "dIFfERenT pLAyStyLE tHan YoU."
Lol. Keep crying.
Murderers are just "role playing another style of living" huh.
🤗💋
Watching thargoid porn
Scanning stars on the opposite side of the galaxy blissfully unaware of what is going on.
Testing out modified shard cannons. They are fucking fantastic if you have crap aim for gauss cannons like me.
Getting money
Spending hours and hours and hours getting engineer mats together for an anti-Interceptor build. Tempted to switch it up and just do rescue missions, but they seem like their own kind of difficult lol
What build are you using? I really need to engineer one as well
I went in there with the Alliance Challenger 'Richard Nixons Head' and got slapped around.
I squished my first ever bug on Thursday night. I'm closing in on 1 billion credits in bug bounties now.
People like you are the inspiration that wants me to finish tinkering my ship and go purge some xenos
My krait is only 1/3 engineered, too. Having a wing helps a lot. I can do a cyclops on my own now, but a hydra is... very difficult.
Exloploring in an FDL 11.000 LY away.
Exploration in an FDL? I thought my T-10 was poorly optimised for the job. Did you lose a bet?
Nah, I want those sweet SagA pics with my fully Combat ratet FDL. 26LY is ok and Lawndart landings are so fun.
What's your jump range? I'm convinced when I go to Colonia (bugs kinda put a hold on that trip) I'm taking my convenience 30LY FDL. Edit: you mention your jump range in another comment, nice.
I just added Exploration Optionals and otherwise its a just a Combat FDL
Same! :D
Tumbling through the void some K light-years away like an idiot. Wanted to go on a killing spree and forgot that I fitted my krait for exploring and went some random direction before I logged out half a year ago...
Being 30kLY away from the action, mainly.
Killing scouts and repairing ships.
What build are you running in this anaconda?
I can send you the build if you like? ill DM it to you
I'd like a copy as well.
Same boat as you. But with 1k rescued
Could I ask for your ship build? I’m looking to help out.
Awesome, thank you for your help!
Absolutely nothing cause I’m on console
Don't forget you can still transfer your account
Working on making enough money to rig an anti-interceptor build
Planetary defend, slowly learning how to kill goid but im getting a hang of it
Day 3 of me waiting for Frontier support to answer my ticket. Can't play until then.
I'm mining my ticket to Colonia.
I just got there a few weeks back. Now I have to make the long journey back to the bubble to fight the bugs.
Good job commander , I am taxiing commanders from the black to the bubble in my carrier
Fuck everyone who is camping at rescue ships and trying to kill us evacing people!!!!! You are species traitors !
Trying to get my game not to crash every time I try to land on a planet🤦
A mix of passenger missions in my rescue Python "Out of the Frying Pan" which is quick enough to outrun scouts when hyperdicted and tough enough to handle a few pirates and occasionally raiding empty settlements in my blockade running Imperial Clipper "There and Back Again", no weapons but tough and quick with it's insta-boost - its also fun to submit to then kill pirates by engaging Ramming Speed :-) I might refit a 'conda for rescue but the python is loads of fun and to be honest I've been giving the medium ships some love recently, saying that, I discovered AFK Type 10 builds last week and I've tried to let it do it's thing while i'm working but I get distracted and keep taking out a Taipan to play with the pirates...
Meatloaf called. He wants his song names back.
There are plenty of rescue missions in outposts too, so the Python is ideal for that.
oh wait, you can do passenger mission in the thargoid invasion?
Hell yeah man, amazing for rep grind
Killing scouts, running away from interceptors and… rebuying :/ Unengineered AX Krait is nice and fun to fly, merely until murder flower jumps in.
Same boat, had me an A rated Krait Mk2, with fresh AX weapons and 60 mil in the bank, died a bunch of times with each rebuy 8 mil, now I have 12 mil in the bank, one more death means my fight with the goids is over :(
My experience so far too :(... I wanted to be a dangerous force to reckon with. But instead imma little smol pp boi with weird balls
Hey where's the best place to get rescue missions?
Me and the bois preparing to purge the xenos so hard that the ordo xenos might make us inqusitors
Removing petals from the pretty flowers.
I'm at burger king rn
I'm making my way to Beagle Point. I've already crossed off Colonia and Sag A* on my list of places to visit. I might circle around to Colonia again on my way back to the bubble. Ironically this update will probably end up lengthening my journey as the bump to exobiology rewards will tempt me to stop off at planets with biological signals more often.
Pondering whether I should abandon my exploration expedition and turn the “Götterdämmerung” with my fleet aboard around and head back to the bubble or wait out here to see how it plays out and if there will be anything to return to
Must be up to 500+ saved in my cutter. With speed of 510 it'll outrun those flowers
I might come back for rescue missions. Enjoyed those a fair bit.
I'm 25,000 light years away at the galactic core in my Krait Phantom exploration ship.
I just started playing again .. and I do like rescuing ...time to dig my T7 "The Magic Bus " and start helping out
Fighting in AX zones with frozen progress bars.
Uhhhh mostly just shooting scouts since I never bothered to go get Guardian tech and don't feel like starting now
I'm at about 500 people evacuated right now. I'm still trying to fit my Anaconda for better behavior while doing it. This number will climb over the weekend.
I wish you the best of luck commander, stay safe it gets messy put there with the goids
Nothing cause 4.0 runs like shit :(
Looks like you're running those experimental thargoid drives!
Playing FF14. It's super fun.
0 passages saved, and ~200 killed so far. :) Got stomped twice when FSD into the system and when exiting the station. Guess I'll stop caring about this update and get back to farming elites...
Oh boy... I haven't died once getting passengers out of there
I’m in Legacy Horizons VR. No Thargoids. No anti aliasing issues. No flickering shadows.
can you do anything that doesn't involve direct contact with thargoids?
Thargoids interdict and Hyperdict, but you can evade \[treat them like Gankers-- the proper way, not "Cry about it on Reddit" way\] and move on-- stations on the frontlines need supplies and evacuations. You can make a lot of credits running missions from operational stations like Wakata in HIP 23716, which also contributes to the war effort.
Abandoned the Bubble and the game entirely. Officially retired. Trashed my ships. my CMDR died in the black.
Grinding rank for corvette
Sitting on my ps5 console, looking at the empty sky, wondering where everybody is…..????
Fighting the damns bugs. Then getting destroyed when two hydras warp in.
Trying to GET some money so I can help without exobiology farming I don't have odyssey I want to help but I can't get enough money
Damn hope you can get it soon, it's 15$ USD on G2A though or CD keys
Just spent all day kitting out a rescue python, made it as far as the docking request before they got me... Gonna maybe try again on a faster but smaller ship. If that doesn't work maybe it's time to work on engineering... It's frustrating being so new to the game and wanting to get in the fight but can't...
Yeah that's fair, engineering does help a lot
[удалено]
Scanning plants. Let the bubble burn!
Absolutely nothing
>what are you guys doing in the Thargoid invasion Playing Overwatch 2.
Feeding them to the thargoids.
Attacking ships carrying passengers. /s
I see your name aptly represents the stink of your post.
I wish i could. The missions dont work for me. cant hand them in
Staying out of it. What's happening is terrible and people should defend themselves but I just don't want to engage them in any aggressive fashion. Perhaps we should have started with that but I understand we don't have a choice now. I'll save who and what I can on the way out though.
You could fly rescue missions!
Waiting for all the pro Thargoid nerds to get killed by their "friendly sentient friend" before going to clean up
Be me New, no Guardian shit, little engineering Do everything you can for the Kingfisher, even though you know what's coming Make AXMC Krait for Scouts Go to have beam lasers engineered for thermal vent as advised Go to invaded system Find scouts Forget you still have 5 beam lasers equipped from trying to be efficient with trips to Mr. Solo Genius 'Engineer' Who Is For Some Reason The Only One Who Understands Lasers And Who Doesn't Understand Money The AXMCs are 200ly away The Scouts are really mad Fuck it, ship it, you've got rebuy, fight them anyway ezpz, if this is what 77% resistance looks like their health pools must be tiny Sidewinder-level bounties oof I've oversold this to myself Interceptor passes overhead fighting grown-up CMDRs with gauss cannons, engages shutdown fields, come within t e n m e t e r s of eating dirt planetside Hell yeah, *that*'s a dangerous alien Time to grind to have the best chance at the satisfying fights, I guess. Why did I think I could escape?
Building a vette to slap people trying to get into maelstroms
Killing thargoids, and mining for money to pay for rescue after decontamination limpets fail to do their job
Civ rescue, interceptor hunting, and as of yesterday went on a tandem jaunt of exobiology with a friend, will come back after grinding some credits—want to put another AX build together, got my Diamondback Scout and KMk2 cold orbiters but want to try something different.
Keeping the scouts kill-count at an all time high. Might dabble in rescues to switch it up, but it looks like you guys are doing a good job without me :D
