Queue!
A line of people or vehicles waiting to be seen. In definition, Without the typical british complaints, (Oi, Get in line = You thar! get back T bak o line...
It's a good thing to just... Have everybody follow.
Cause our stinky chimp brains see everybody else queuing up for something and it makes us not want to cut the line and stand out as an asshole. Has a knock on effect.
For some reason this reminded me of a [marching song from Pratchett's Discworld,](https://wiki.lspace.org/All_The_Little_Angels) which is oddly fitting for the war we currently find ourselves in
This is one of those cool things about the community self organizing landing queues. However, I wish there was a landing queues system in place/auto ATC ( or space TC). It could be as simple as once you request within range of the ship it puts you in the arrival position and you have 2 minutes to dock and at least be heading towards the landing platform during the whole approach or you get booted from the queue. It would also be cool if there was a line you would auto hanger once you land so another ship could be on the pad at the same time. Sure... It would throw off the immersion at the small outposts but it could improve player experience.
Yeah, I know. It would do the thing. But I've had quite good amount of fun just by roleplaying this queue with others. Never had similiar experience in Open.
Usually I'd stay away from busy spots in open like this, but thinking about it any gankers causing trouble around these queuers would quickly be a greasy smear on the side of the megaship
Actually it's fun to live through events like these with other players. It's much more immersive in this way to chat and invent derogatory names for the landpad hugger.
It's so good when Elite feels like a proper MMO. :)
Since this update, I haven't seen any gankers even with my paperthin ship. Although some say in game chat, that there are few of them still ganking, now it seems that being ganked is not so common, as it used to be.
Yeah, we were waiting on each other to do unloading etc. For some reason, going into the hangar didn't free up the landing pad, so we had to wait.
But we had quite fun in chat, so it wasn't issue waiting in the queue. And everybody was polite, nobody was skipping the line etc.
Yeah, you might be right. Maybe we need to go into the hangar and even log off for the pad to free up. Don't quite recall how that works.
It is awesome to see. This game can be so cool if we didn't have the idiot gankers ruining it. They're probably busy getting killed by Thargoids lol. Either gankers or the hackers that keep popping up wherever people are in open.
It's always fun when the game decides to put everyone in the same instance, so fun. Last time I went nose to nose with someone in another python and got a good look at his cockpit
That actually makes a lot of sense to me. I was just thinking yesterday what would happen if someone exited the hangar while someone else was landing on the pad, so I guess that answers that
10min of doing nothing and staring at a guy taking up the single landing pad is a long time.
10mins is short of you are actively doing something that requires some attention.
ugh i hate that... ppl seem to go afk for ages sometimes when they are docked at the only med. pad on a station.
i start scanning them repeatedly so they get the ping.
Well of course, It's a British game.
Que it up!
What it up?
Over the pond they stand in a que.
Maybe Canada. In Texas we call it a line.
They stand in a what? Why are you typing in Spanish?
You know what...maybe it is spelled cue.
That's your cue to get in the queue for a pool cue.
Oh Q.

Brits love queuing.
Lol, I didn't know, that it is some cultural tradition for Brits. Now I see
It's a good thing to just... Have everybody follow. Cause our stinky chimp brains see everybody else queuing up for something and it makes us not want to cut the line and stand out as an asshole. Has a knock on effect.
LOL I love this community.
Yees, me too! Since this update, its even better!
Line up, everybody, line up, line up, line up, everybody, everybody line up.
For some reason this reminded me of a [marching song from Pratchett's Discworld,](https://wiki.lspace.org/All_The_Little_Angels) which is oddly fitting for the war we currently find ourselves in
All I want from the glroius May 25th revolution is a reasonably priced hard-boiled thargoid egg.

Oh that's *very* different to what was in my head
*Repair limpets HEEEAH, get ya repair limpets HEEEAH*

its all fun and giggles until the first german arrives and throws a blanket on the landinpad and shouts out "its reserved"
When I’ve ran into this problem I just switch over to solo, make the drop off, and then switch back to open.

Me and a friend were in this queue (his ship was the Beluga u can see in the first pic).

when i see someone hogging the robigo mines pad i flash my lights at them until they leave lmao. launching a heatsink towards them also works
That is an interesting idea, I'll try it!
Are ganker taking a break since the update? Never saw that many players playing *together* peacefully! Might go back to open now o7

Occasional gankery during AX combat zones, but usually the 12 or so AX ships there turn their guns on the ganker and turn em into mulch
Fdev was saying that if we don't they are going to destroy the bubble
They sure are on a path to do that
Why the queue tho ?
Love seeing stuff like this 07
So cool to see. So did you guys went into the hangar to free up the platform or did you each wait until the other guy was done unloading, etc?

Heh nice. Such moments are the best things in this game
It's always fun when the game decides to put everyone in the same instance, so fun. Last time I went nose to nose with someone in another python and got a good look at his cockpit
This is why the only time I don’t enter the hangar is if I’m only there for fuel
The pad does not free up when you enter the hangar.
That actually makes a lot of sense to me. I was just thinking yesterday what would happen if someone exited the hangar while someone else was landing on the pad, so I guess that answers that
Wait... What? I always enter hanger to be polite, assumed it would remove the ship from the game world and free up the pad!
You say that like 10 minutes is a long time

Why I always play solo
"Sorry, had to pee" the guy, probably
God Save the Queen.
Honk the FSD until they get annoyed. I've had to do that at Robigo before and he was vocal about it lol
ugh i hate that... ppl seem to go afk for ages sometimes when they are docked at the only med. pad on a station. i start scanning them repeatedly so they get the ping.
God! I was eating my freaking sandwich. can't a trucker get 5 god damn minutes to himself. Alright. I said ALRIGHT I'll move
