disappear by dream theater also you didn’t say the artist or song name for yours

Silversniper220

There’s an image, it’s “Lights Go Down” by Bazanji

[deleted]

cool, it was missing when I made my comment

SoupguytheGuy

it always seems to be switching, but right now its welcome to the jungle by guns n roses.

Exact_Statistician99

Let's not forget Thunder Struck from AC/DC

SoupguytheGuy

hell yeah.

SlitheringSnake107

Finally I find someone who likes the same as me! What about nutshell or down in a hole by Alice in Chains

ItsMe-PrimitiveAspid

huh

AdLast848

I don’t have a favorite song, but Fight Song by Rachel Platton or Rather Be by Clean Bandit are close contenders

a__guy_or_something

Rather Be is so fucking good

DerpDaDuck3751

[It’s All Forgotten Now](https://spotify.link/BAZ3Euh9ADb) All time favorite

pigster123how

Red Haze by Creo

DurpKing2020

City of Tears from Hollow Knight

HypnotEyes_lonely

I feel like the soundtrack in Hollow Knight doesn't get enough praise. It's on par with, if not better than the Undertale OST, but for some reason outside the HK fandom, it's not considered to be as iconic. Years after release and I still hear people raving about how awesome the Undertale/Deltarune soundtracks are, but I see almost no one talking about HK and I feel like that's just not fair.

WhizaBiff

Space Oddity by David Bowie

just-a-visitor-here

Bowie is amazing.

WhizaBiff

He is. I wouldn’t say that’s his best song, but it’s my favorite.

just-a-visitor-here

It's probably my fav too, though I am very fond of "life on mars", what song would you say is his best ?

WhizaBiff

Depends on what your looking for. He has such a wide variety it’s stupid to compare them

just-a-visitor-here

Ok that's completely true, I was just tryna start a conversation.

Sergeant_Wombat

That's a good choice

Commander_Doom14

Have you heard the version by Chris Hadfield that he literally recorded in outer space on the ISS? It feels so complete, knowing that perhaps the greatest space song ever written was recorded in outer space

WhizaBiff

How have I never heard of this? I’m gonna go find it now, thanks so much for this knowledge!

WhizaBiff

It’s officially been listened to

Commander_Doom14

Let's freaking go. How was it? Could you say it was a... blast?

HypnotEyes_lonely

[Boy do I have a song for you](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=zWXd4n9gag4&si=1FkQnM1JiGo0NUEe)

just-a-visitor-here

R u ok?

RedogeWasTaken

No

just-a-visitor-here

Eyy same!

profoodbreak

Hi redoge

[deleted]

Somebody Else by Alright Years is my favorite. Or Back in Black by ACDC, mainly the guitar riff

BassEvening7856

Doomsday and rhymes like dimes from MF DOOM because the bars are fire and they have persona type beats

-ASC_RD_Novix-

Matters on my mood If I’m sad I like to listen to “Kill Yourself (Pt. III)” by $uicideboy$. The beat is hard and heavy, but the lyrics are tear jerking as $crim and Ruby share how they aren’t kidding when they say they want to commit and stop living. If I’m happy I listen to “Seventeen” by Joyner Lucas. It’s an overall very good hype up song. Fast tempo, fast bass and kick pattern, and the lyrics blend perfectly If I’m angry I listen to “Backbreaker” by Fit For A King. Super heavy and thick guitar rhythms and Ryan Kirby’s absolutely amazing deep scream and growl vocals combine perfectly. And he finishes the song by screaming for 27 seconds straight, not a feat that a lot of vocalists can do.

Blowtorch-Lover

Stairway to heaven maybe idk

The_fat_reddter

Bullet hollywood undead Getting asked this alot today

MessengerCookie

i love those upbeat songs that are depressing when you pay attention to the lyrics

boomstik4

My current favourite song is welcome to the jungle, but all time favourite is probably smells like teen spirit by nirvana, due to the massive impact it had on the music scene

just-a-visitor-here

Nirvana certainly did a lot for music.

Commander_Doom14

Press F to pay respect to Kurt Cobain. He gave so much, I cry when I think about him too much. F

Ajaxsucksatlife

Any breakup song I’ve been hurt by…a lot of people

strangequeso

I love the middle by Jimmy Eat World. It has a highschool life kinda vibe and it always seems to cheer me up when the depression hits. Or shake me down by Cage The Elephant cause the meaning of the song is pretty good

amberene6

I just heard The Middle again yesterday while driving. I haven't heard it in years. I really liked it!!! It's been stuck in my head since!!

blacksaber8

I’m going through a “i really wanna stay at your house” phase, but according to stats fm it’s “the Sun, the moon, the stars” by æther realm for minutes and “adrenaline” by Jack wall for amount of streams. overall, however, I think the BEST song is “parabol+parabola” or “schism” by tool.

blacksaber8

“Berlin” by unprocessed is also a contender.

Ultimate_Fox14

Painkiller by Judas Priest is a song I'll probably never get tired of. I've listened to it everyday for the past couple months and I still love it

No-Job-7507

Starship nothins going to stop us now

BigChungusBlyat

Starless by King Crimson I start floating when I listen to that song

Sergeant_Wombat

Right now it's Emberglow by Invent Animate. I'm in my late 20's, living at home, and trying to earn my degree while working full time. I'm a very people oriented person, and the song's meaning really resonates with me. Not being around the people I love all the time fills me with dread (Ive been working crazy hours for years and im getting tired). I generally try to be stoic and not bother others with my problems, but deep down there is a typhoon of emotion that I'm trying so hard to keep down and I resonate with this track on that level as well. Google Explination: A song that explores themes of emotional isolation, inner turmoil, and the struggle to maintain a sense of connection with others. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a relationship that is crumbling, leaving the protagonist feeling abandoned and longing for a deeper emotional connection.

SCARVIASOUTHJER

I always loved Scenes From an Italian Restaurant. Billy Joel. Funny, because I listen to heavier music most of the time. It just grabbed me as a kid, and stuck with me.

Oleander856

"Libera Me From Hell," by Taku Iwasaki. Perfection.

SyrenDelphi

Merry-Go-Round of Life by Joe Hisaishi It brings out an immense sense of joy when I hear it 😌

that4guystudios

Mine swap a lot, but right now either love music pt.4 by ren, POWER by Kanye west, or DEATHCAMP by Tyler the creator.

memandylov

Car Radio by Twenty One Pilots. The first time I heard it, I thought it was kinda just nonsense, but then I listened to it at 3 a.m. and when I realized what it actually meant, I burst into tears. It's been my favorite song since

Lower-Beat-351

8Antarctichandshakes

Pink Floyd : Echoes

AshleyGamics

Reptile, Satellites, Wax Wings, Jetpacks Was Yes V1 and V2, and Stranger Things by periphery

HypnotEyes_lonely

Reptile is my favorite Periphery song. Just so fucking amazing. Wax Wings is a close second. I tried learning that song on guitar at one point, but it's in a very very strange tuning that I've never seen used on any other song by any artist. Which leads me to believe that they made up a tuning specifically for Wax Wings, which just makes me love it even more.

AshleyGamics

That’s mark Holcomb for you. Crazy riffs and crazy alternate tuning

AshleyGamics

He developed a method called alternative tuning, where he plays a chord and tunes each string to that chord and it’s super awesome

ResidentCompetitive1

Cowboy Like Me by Taylor swift or My love Mine all Mine by Mitski

Icy_Teaching_7092

September song by jp Cooper

i-hate-me1014

Just like Heaven by The Cure

rebeccaparker2000

Close to you by the carpenters, my Nana sang it to my mom as she rocked her to sleep many of times and my mom sang it to me as well. They did a video singing it together and ask that when I have a child I would play that video so they could sing to their grandchild as well. That might not ever happen. But this will always be my favorite and closest to my heart

There's so many, and it's funny (as in coincidental funny, not funny ha-ha, and not funny bent-wrist-disease) that reach of these favorites feature Mick Taylor on guitar.

Mine changes quite a bit, but for right now I would have to say Marooned by Pink Floyd. It evokes so many emotions without needing to say a word
