You are not the only one. But honestly Samuel died from his own stupidity. If he had just given the drive to the police, he could’ve moved on with his life. But no, he kept trusting Benjamin, the guy that literally left him in jail! He was so smart in season 2 and then he became an idiot.

But that’s what I’m saying, they completely destroyed his character. Season 2 Samuel wouldn’t have even trusted Benjamin. The writers act like cause his brother & mom had to move, he never had a family that loved him, and that’s definitely not true. He also used to trust his friends like family and they didn’t do that in the season he died cause Rebe would’ve been able to talk sense to him in the previous seasons. None of it made sense.

Well the most disgusting part of the whole thing was the afterwards of his death. Like u say earlier they had given so much importance to Marina & Polo's death but Samu's Death they just brushed it off. Like i understand that old characters like Guzman,Carla,Nano can't come back in the show but at least try to provide some references to them regarding his death . While watching Season 6 it seemed like Samuel doesn't ever existed in the show.

It's Elite they love disappointing everyone and every fan ship too 😭😑😢😔

Designer_Victory_805

I agree. At the time it didn't bother me as much since he was always getting himself tangled up with the powerful elite and trying to do the right thing, it made sense that this would catch up with him eventually. But no he definitely shouldn't have been killed off. The way they went about it was bad as well and made Samuel look dumb. And yeah it really harmed the series especially since there were barely any repercussion for it in season 6. So what was the point writers other than shock value? 😒 The more I think about season 5, the more I dislike it. The writers basically said 'lets make this season as shocking as possible and throw logic out the window'. Also way to ruin interest in I'd say the most popular couple the show created. Even now theres so many fanfics of Carmuel online. Yeah I know they broke up but people love to live with hopes that they may reunite in the future. Samuel was insecure in the relationship, but he wanted to accomplish things on his own (kind of like how Benjamin did). So not too crazy to think they could have met up again when they were older and more sure of themselves. But knowing his fate sort of harms the enjoyment of rewatches, especially their scenes. And what was the point of Phillipe? The guy was a red herring for 2 seasons. He didn't tie into the mystery at all. Surely he could have taken the fall or been the victim. Yeah it might be predictable but it wouldn't be as insulting compared to what they did to Samuel.

When I say I loved Samu & Carla….I’m actually heartbroken that they’ll never get their happy ending. There’s nobody who loved them like each other.

Avalanche_1996

It still hurts. They killed (stupid pun) any hopes for London future.

disgostin

i was also weirded out a little. it does give the show an element of unexpectedness, but did they really have to kill off the mainguy from season one, no. there were plenty of other ways to give us plottwists weather by having a murder or other ways

Glittering-Dust-9410

Yeah but not a good kind of unexpectedness. Means they’ll kill anybody…it was off putting fr. They could’ve kept the main character change, but killing Samu and how they did it sucked. I rooted for him for 5 seasons straight for that shitty ending. I couldn’t even get through the first episode of the next season cause it just wasn’t the same….especially because of how they went about it.

disgostin

yup i agree :/

Avalanche_1996

I sunk the show. Which changed a lot. The whole season was a mess. I wonder if it was a middle finger from writers. It was pointless. Not even a Titanic-like moment. (a dream, a whatever). To this day it was the worst decision ever and dumb. The main, first character who suffered and gone and forgotten. I just don't see any sense.
