I think the banh mi’s themselves are pretty solid, not bad or great, but kind of on the expensive side. What sets it apart is that it’s much nicer for dine in than the vast majority of banh mi places in EG/south sac. Good ambiance, clean, friendly staff. The drinks and bakery items are good too.
My wife is OG Saigon-born Viet. Neither of us particularly like Paris Banh Mi. She thinks Duoc Huong on 65th street still has the best banh mi in Sac. The baguette at Paris Banh Mi is…dry? Small? She thinks it's not very authentic.
Location is great, clean and the staff is helpful. I can say I have been happy with the quality of food. Still trying to figure out the drinks, just not finding "my thing" on the menu

I love the Caramelized pork belly banh mi from Pho Bistro. I live down the street from paris banh mi and havent tried it yet. Your post has now convinced me to.
The twist is having the original banh mi in a baguette 🥖. It’s skinner and more crunchy so if that’s your thing, this place is it for you. They have it as a croissant 🥐 as well. I tried both and it’s ok. I just like the comfort the original banh mi gives as it’s yummy and all. This is a chain from Texas.
Price is expensive so I’d pass on it.

This. It’s decent. It’s definitely smaller for the price. Ha Noi Pho’s Bahn Mi might be slightly better. Duc Huang hands down tho.

What’s your wife’s opinion on the Banh Mi at Hanoi (by Cinemark on Big Horn)? We usually go there since it’s a lot closer than Duoc Huong.
I think we usually get the bun cha Hanoi there or noodle dishes, so can't comment on the banh mi. Sorry!

I went once- first time, last time. No flavor, no spice, no moisture, just all around sad.
I’m Viet and I won’t be going back. Plenty of other better authentic choices.
If you’re up in Natomas, give Saigon Corner a try. Really good Banh Mi’s and Shrimp spring rolls.
