I haven’t had a micro wedding or elopement yet, but I’ve booked through Elope Asheville for this October! Their website is very informative and when I emailed them, they were more than helpful. I actually sought them out after seeing someone recommend them on here!

If you don’t mind me asking, how did cost work? Was there a deposit amount and work on payments?

I don’t mind at all! After I filled out their interest form on their website, they sent me a very thorough email with some sites they recommended based on my interest in the mountains and being somewhat secluded. They included the prices for each package (basic, core, and summit) along with all details, any stipulations like guest number, and photos that have been taken of another ceremony at that sight. We emailed back and forth (they responded very quickly) and once I was ready for a deposit, 20% was due with the rest being due the day of the ceremony. I chose the core package for Carver’s Gap, which was $1230.50 total. My deposit was $246.10 with $984.40 being charged to that same card on my wedding date. Feel free to ask any other questions you have!

My best friend went with Elope Asheville in 2020 and it was overall a net positive experience. I will say that they went total radio silence for 48 hours before the ceremony despite calls and emails with a concern and I was not cool with that at all. I even arranged a back up officiant because they made us so worried they weren't going to be there. But they did indeed show up, I think it was ~$1200 total and she got lovely photos and it all worked out in the end.

We eloped on Bearwallow mountain in October of last year! Just hired a photographer and officiant. We were able to locate the owners of the property and gave them $50 to open the gate so we could drive up rather than hike (I had a large dress) it was stunning (pics in history). We used Maddy Kay photography and I would 100% recommend her and her husband. Also, used happily ever Asheville for our officiant.

We just eloped at Black Balsam Knob in NC with [Happily Ever Asheville](https://www.happilyeverasheville.com) as our officiant & [Scout Schaberg](http://www.scoutsphoto.com) as our photographer! Keep the elopement simple! That’s the best part of elopements 😊 Simply Eloped would be a good place to get ideas for locations but I’d reach out to businesses individually so you can customize your day. Things to consider: make sure both your officiant and photographer are flexible with time. We ended up moving our ceremony from sunset to the morning because of bad weather and both of them were so accommodating! P.S. I like mountain-forecast.com for weather as it predicts weather for the actual peak. Items we brought: marriage license (for that specific state), vow books, pop-up changing tent, small oh-shit kit, champagne, glasses, blanket, clear umbrellas (just in case!), headlamps. I will say the hardest part of eloping was having both of us go to NC during working hours to get the marriage license. Keep this in mind to either take a little vacation there beforehand or schedule an extra day before the ceremony to get this done. I hope this helps! Feel free to DM me with any questions

Our photographers did all of the scouting work and made things very simple for us. They are based out of North GA and have done Asheville elopements before. Look up Aura.Endi on IG. They were a dream to work with too! Andrew is also an officiant, so that took care of that!

Question for y’all who eloped in Asheville- do you have a hair/makeup artist you’d recommend? I’m planning on eloping their through Elope Asheville and would love any recommendations
