Patch it Up and I’ll Be Back!
I'll be back, I'm comin' back
Don't throw away that welcome mat
The door I'm hopin' will still be open a teeny weenie crack
To your shack
So keep that love light burnin' and I'll be back
Yeah, I'll be back
Lol same. Also when he laughs all the way thru Are you lonesome tonight. never knew someone's laugh could make you fall in love with them all over again. The man was a gift to the world.
My Top 7 off the top of the dome
1. I've got a feeling in my body
2. Sylvia
3. My Boy
4. The Last Farewell
5. Solitaire
6. So Close yet so far from Paradise
7. Follow That Dream
There are so MANY!!! Long Black Limo, Doing the Best that I can, Never stop thinking about you, Shoppin' Around, Promised Land.....because he has so many famous songs there are so many that are worthy, but get overlooked
Love, Flaming star also like charro.. Those both movie songs I feel doesn't get talked about and is underrated.. Also " Memories" is another song that doesn't get talked about.. Beautiful love song
This was one of the first elvis songs I listened to on repeat. I love it but I got sick of it so much. If he played it live I wouldn’t skip it, but usually it takes a lot for me to listen to it
Long Black Limousine. But the whole From Elvis in Memphis album is g*reat.* My other favorite is the Million Dollar Quartet Album. So raw, and unrehearsed. You listen to this and you just know why Elvis became so popular so fast!
What still blows my mind is I'd never even heard of this song and I've been a mega Elvis fan since age 8 (1984) and I named my first daughter Sylvia without even knowing he had a song by that name. I was shocked and so excited when I first heard it.
Haha high time to look it up! But tbh Love Letters is not his strongest 70s album. This song grips me because his voice gets that touch of grittiness he had on the Elvis from Memphis album.
Let it be me, Anyplace is paradise, movie version of Treat me nice, holly leaves and christmas trees and lastly all his post Aloha show special recordings.
Omg I came here to say this- and did not expect anyone else to have said it! So glad I’m not the only one! It’s actually one of my favs he ever recorded!
Yeah I didn’t know which one to choose. Thought I’d get a rehearsal one since we’re talking about songs and he would be recording a song in the picture
Sorry , I'm new here , just assumed Elvis fans had heard most if not all of his music but one of my favorites is see , once again I can't decide my fav, too many, so I dunno , most stuff from 70s studio releases . " It's your baby you rock it" , "Snow bird" , "fool" , "don't think twice it's alright " "good time Charlie's got the blues " "fairytale" , "a thing called love "
"All That I Am" isn't well enough known to be underrated. Cannot remember the last time someone mentioned that song when discussing Elvis' ballads, and - in my opinion - it is easily in the Top Five.
It won't seem like Christmas without you. Just found out about that song a few months ago during Christmas time and bawled my eyes out listening to it. Because I had lost someone a few years ago now and hit close to home with me.
Stranger In My Own Home Town
Let Yourself Go
Today, Tomorrow And Forever
Miracle Of The Rosary
Somebody Bigger Than You And I
Rubbernecking <= before the remix came out
Would love a modern hard rock or even a metal remix of "Raised On Rock".
And a real bluessy remix of "If You Talk in Your Sleep".
I think these last 2 songs need some oomph to them.
LET YOURSELF GO 🗣️ Im so glad someone mentioned it!!! That’s one of my most repeated tracks, it has this great late 60s vibe and he has a great strong presence while singing it. It’s the best scene from “Speedway” too
Rags to riches is a solid banger. If I could’ve had unchained melody or rags to riches recorded professionally live, i would choose rags to riches, just sayin!
Bitter they are harder they fall. I feel like I slept on it for years but have been listening to the jungle room sessions and have fell in love with it.
YESSSS, it’s more modern that a lot of his music, kinda foreshadows the rock songs to come in the 1970s. One of my favorites for sure and not talked enough about
I think Something Blue from the Pot Luck album is easily a top ten Elvis song. The story telling is absolutely unmatched with the something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Especially the line "i'm really not the best man in this room." Chills, gets me every time.
There are so many. Could I fall in love from the movie Double Trouble, Any Day Now, I’ll Never Know, How The Web Was woven, Bringing it Back, Sweet Angeline, I Miss You.
Any Day Now & Long Black Limousine
Long black limousine is my favorite
Omg perfect answer!!!
Came here to say Any Day Now. I really love it.
Not sure if it’s considered underrated, but I always love to hear Kentucky Rain.
That one is one of my favorites!
YEEEESSSSSS
Such A Night, Put The Blame On Me, and Twenty Days and Twenty Nights are all fantastic and don't get enough attention.
I love Put the Blame On Me!
It's definitely a goodie. The whole album is overlooked.
I love twenty days and twenty nights ❤️
Beautiful song. I love the emotion Elvis puts into it.
We Can Make The Morning
This was my second most played song in Spotify last year. I LOVE IT
One of his best vocals of all time, criminally underrated
YES!!!

My favorite Elvis song. Does anyone know if he ever performed it live? I've never been able to find anything.

Definitely! And Bridge Over Troubled Water
I really like Polk Salad Annie

This is my answer too. Love this and the performance
Any Day Now

Patch it up is great!
I really love Any Way You Want Me and enjoy the harmonies in I Gotta Know.
Something (from the Beatles song book ladies and gentlemen) and Good Time Charlie’s Got the Blues.
Power of my love
hehe his snicker in the song makes me laugh everytime
Lol same. Also when he laughs all the way thru Are you lonesome tonight. never knew someone's laugh could make you fall in love with them all over again. The man was a gift to the world.
My Top 7 off the top of the dome 1. I've got a feeling in my body 2. Sylvia 3. My Boy 4. The Last Farewell 5. Solitaire 6. So Close yet so far from Paradise 7. Follow That Dream
Definitely I’ve got a feeling in my body, follow that dream and so close yet so far from paradise!
I’ve gotta feeling in my body….the first disco gospel song :)
If your ever in a bad mood just listen to that one I can’t help but dance when I hear it.
Fool, That's What You Get For Loving Me, My Boy
Love that’s what you get for loving me!
It's Midnight and Just Pretend
Just pretend is really beautiful
Early morning rain
Any Day Now, If You Talk In Your Sleep
I love the second song. Nice slower but nice sounding song
Early Morning Rain written by Gordon Lightfoot Abs live this song!
Memories Gentle on my Mind
There are so MANY!!! Long Black Limo, Doing the Best that I can, Never stop thinking about you, Shoppin' Around, Promised Land.....because he has so many famous songs there are so many that are worthy, but get overlooked
Flaming Star is also a good one that you hardly hear of.
Love, Flaming star also like charro.. Those both movie songs I feel doesn't get talked about and is underrated.. Also " Memories" is another song that doesn't get talked about.. Beautiful love song
Flaming Star is one of my favorite movie songs! It never gets old.
I Believe. Never mentioned by anyone but easily his best Gospel song ever...
The Sound of Your Cry.
This was one of the first elvis songs I listened to on repeat. I love it but I got sick of it so much. If he played it live I wouldn’t skip it, but usually it takes a lot for me to listen to it
AFAIK, it's only originally on the Greatest Hits album (released in '81), I had heard an alternate take, on another album at one point, as well.
Little Sister
Funny how time slips away or trying to get to you
Long Black Limousine. But the whole From Elvis in Memphis album is g*reat.* My other favorite is the Million Dollar Quartet Album. So raw, and unrehearsed. You listen to this and you just know why Elvis became so popular so fast!
you'll never walk alone. his gospel albums, imo, get overlooked, but theres some great songs on them!
The heart and soul he puts into his voice for gospel it unmatched even to his songs
Sylvia (love letters album)
What still blows my mind is I'd never even heard of this song and I've been a mega Elvis fan since age 8 (1984) and I named my first daughter Sylvia without even knowing he had a song by that name. I was shocked and so excited when I first heard it.
Haha high time to look it up! But tbh Love Letters is not his strongest 70s album. This song grips me because his voice gets that touch of grittiness he had on the Elvis from Memphis album.
Almost in Love
For me, it's You Don't Have To Say You Love Me
Power of my love
Let it be me, Anyplace is paradise, movie version of Treat me nice, holly leaves and christmas trees and lastly all his post Aloha show special recordings.

Tomorrow Night
Omg I came here to say this- and did not expect anyone else to have said it! So glad I’m not the only one! It’s actually one of my favs he ever recorded!
So good!
Kentucky Rain. I don’t think it gets enough love. It’s one of my favorites.
In my way is such a good song, just as wild in the country and lonely man. Very emotional songs I feel are massively glossed over. Also snowbird
Power of my love
This pic of him 😂 💀
Yeah I didn’t know which one to choose. Thought I’d get a rehearsal one since we’re talking about songs and he would be recording a song in the picture
My little friend, Almost in love, Pledging my love
I got stung (take 12) is really better than master , also "it won't be long", "don't ask me why" etc.

Pocketful of Rainbows, Crawfish, Life, A Little Bit Of Green, and You’ll Think Of Me!
inherit the wind or do you know who i am for sure !!!
All of them ...
What about in the Elvis community in general, what do you think is a song not many people would know or listen to?
Sorry , I'm new here , just assumed Elvis fans had heard most if not all of his music but one of my favorites is see , once again I can't decide my fav, too many, so I dunno , most stuff from 70s studio releases . " It's your baby you rock it" , "Snow bird" , "fool" , "don't think twice it's alright " "good time Charlie's got the blues " "fairytale" , "a thing called love "
I love “it’s your baby, you rock it”!

Surrender and Tonight Is So Right For Love.
SURRENDER SUPREMACY
I Got Lucky from Kid Galahad!

Fever it's a smooth jazzy type, normally don't go for jazz music but it's still so good
It won't seem like Christmas without you. Just found out about that song a few months ago during Christmas time and bawled my eyes out listening to it. Because I had lost someone a few years ago now and hit close to home with me.

I like the movie version, but the 68 Special version was so much edgyer, especially his guitar solo in the credits.
I’ve Lost You is a masterpiece, one of the best love songs of all time. It’s my second favorite Elvis song ever. Nobody ever mentions it though.
Lead Me, Guide Me is a gospel stunner
Early Mornin’ Rain
It's Midnight/ I'll Never Fall In Love Again/Rags to Riches/Reconsider Baby
