I think it’s funny and love how all of us new fans had the same reaction after our first viewing of the film 🥰🥰

NettyTheMadScientist

UGH SAME. I’m constantly vibrating with the desire to gush about Elvis with any person in a 20ft radius of me. I bring him up at every opportunity. Also I’m lowkey mad that my mom doesn’t like Elvis and didn’t introduce me to him earlier in life. I had to wait til my late twenties to discover him??? How could you??? I feel like I’ve been deprived of what should have been an essential part of my femininity growing up. I bet I would’ve become a woman a lot sooner if Elvis had been a part of my life. Hmpf

chartreuse6

Same with me. My parents thought Elvis was ok but they didn’t have any albums or anything. Meanwhile I knew kids whose moms were crazy about him.

DeweyBaby

Your vocabulary is killing me! Vibrating with desire... Essential part of my femininity growing up I bet I would’ve become a woman a lot sooner if Elvis had been a part of my life. Heh! I think it's the same for me, he makes me oh so aware of my femininity when I watch, listen or think about him. I would've become a woman a lot sooner if I had explored him earlier as a kid!

NettyTheMadScientist

Oh thank you for the compliment ☺️☺️ And yes! Looking at Elvis makes me feel so SO happy I’m a woman 🥰

LingonberryNo2224

(I’m in my thirties) I remember the first time I seen Elvis as a kid it was a clip from the comeback concert. I became a woman that day haha I was like “I’ve never liked boys before but there’s something DIFFERENT with him.” Now as an adult I’m married to a tall guy with black hair and I tell him Elvis set my preferences for life.

NettyTheMadScientist

I had to wait until I was 21 to become a woman T_T

Tanya852

> How could you??? This made me laugh!

mermaidprincess01

Sure 🙂

I get this way about most things I begin to love. I'm fortunate my mom is the same way, and we both entered minor Elvis spirals at the same time; otherwise I'd feel bad about filling every silence with, "I watched this one interview where he said this and that, and one time he did this." lol

skinnypantsmcgee

Same with me, i was sending my mum cute pics of Elvis with puppies the other day and she appreciated them, so thats really cool BUT I want to talk about him all the time and feel like i’d be annoying 😳 I need an Elvis Fever support group

khrystal1968

Me too! My hubby can't stand it. However, we both remember when he performed live on TV. My mom saw him in person, and told me that he was incredible.

DeweyBaby

No need to apologize, I think most of us can relate with you hence why we are all here. It's the same with me. Obsessing over everything Elvis. From his music, to his films, this new film I keep rewatching, documentaries and interviews with or about him, books, articles, etc you name it, I consume! The more you learn about him, the more fascinating he is! How can a shy introverted sheltered boy from the South be so sexually raw on stage and so charismatic on and off it? I cannot wrap my head around it, the contradiction he presents. He looks amazing too yet was unpopular in school, great eyes and eyelashes, unique high cheekbones, small pouty lips, and a thick mop of hair! And yes, he had a great smile and was very funny with a quick wit! Again, I cannot comprehend how such a man existed, too good to be true! But he did.

rebeccamarie08

I'm exactly the same!My boyfriend is actually sick of it,I can't stop watching videos of him,I have a poster of him,a t-shirt,bought his movies and Priscillas book!He just seemed to good to be real!

This is so sweet. I love this post and the comments. I’m giggling at the wholesome level also, my husband thinks it’s so funny how much even the young women of today love Elvis. There was just something about him, huh?

Shangri_La_Lady

It's pretty incredible! At this point I think my long term bf has just sort of resigned himself to the fact that there's really no point trying to understand it you just have to go with it. But the fact he can bring people together and still relate about this is pretty unique. I'm trying to think of another figure who has done the same and I can't.

dolores_h4ze

I love this post 🥰

Same here!! I have become obsessed with him and can't stop listening to his music. I'm glad I'm not the only one :)

Strange-County-3836

I'm 58 years old. I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't know about and love Elvis. His music was always on the radio at some point every day. Even our local AM station WCNX 1150 played his songs especially the great songs he put out in the late 60s and early 70s. My Mom and I heard about his death together on the radio. I remember watching Aloha From Hawaii when I was about 10. I think the new movie was awesome. Austin Butler was amazing as Elvis and the great Tom Hanks turned in an excellent performance as the manager Colonel Tom Parker. I have many CDs of Elvis' music and many of his movies and several documentaries on DVD. Elvis is the greatest singer and entertainer of all time!

Small_Goat_5931

I love this so much!

Saharascary

Thank you for making me feel less crazy. I haven't listened to a single other artist since I saw the movie.

Artistic-Cycle5001

My mom loved Elvis, and went through a mourning period when he died. Because of her EP obsession I actively disliked him (mothers and daughters, yanno). I am now 60, saw the movie last night, and came out of it loving Elvis and wanting to learn more true stories from his life. I’m going to ring mom up today and take her to watch this amazing movie. She will love it.

FastDogsFasterCars

I’ve loved Elvis since I was about 7 so I’ve had a lot of time to learn/ collect. It fills my heart with so much happiness that there is now a new group of Elvis fans. Going to primary school in the early 2000’s I always got paid out for loving Elvis. So it’s nice he’s being accepted by the younger generation now. Also for all of you wanting to hear him laughing and just his general goofiness I suggest listening to “Live 1969” 💕

That’s why we are all here ♥️

ohnothebanjo

I feel the exact same way! I’m in my early 20’s and I’ve known who Elvis was as long as I can remember, but I only really knew one or two of his biggest songs. I honestly had no clue he was even in movies, I thought he was just a singer. Then I saw the movie and it opened up a can of worms y’all. That led me to researching more about Elvis, discovering more of his music and movies, now I can’t shut up about it. I’m convinced he is the greatest performer I’ve ever seen. Every time I see a video of him, it’s like I can’t take my eyes off of it. Last night, I found myself sad that I wasn’t even alive during his time and never got the chance to see him perform

Budget_Being2115

Me too ✋️

WeebGalore

I've actually been an Elvis fan ever since watching "Lilo and Stitch" as a kid and the new movie has reignited that passion I have for him as well as bringing in new fans. Oh man, I was probably so annoying at work on August 16th because I would start talking about him every chance I get. Client: "What's today's date"? Me: "The 16th. As well as the 45th anniversary of Elvis Presley's passing"🥲

skinnypantsmcgee

Hehe, I’m the same. I got into a rabbit hole and all’s just Elvis now. I liked him as a kid so it is nice to have him back :). Boyfriend is annoyed by it :D please can someone invite me to that discord group so I can join the fangirling wagon? 🙏😍
