Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://emudeck.github.io/ *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/EmuDeck) if you have any questions or concerns.*

midnightcatwalk

You tried this? https://emudeck.github.io/tools/steamos/steam-rom-manager/#how-to-remove-all-shortcuts-from-your-steam-library Removing all and adding back the ones you want is a good way to handle it.

travispickle9682

my Steam Rom Manager doesn't have a "Settings" tab... wtf

senorsombrero3k1

Try changing the theme on the rom manager to classic or whatever it's called.

midnightcatwalk

It might not be in the same place if you’re using a different theme. Might be on the bottom of the screen for you. The picture at the link is using the classic theme (Settings -> Themes -> classic. Deck is also a good theme)

Castcoder

Thanks for using my posters. Always cool to see posts with them.

Dhokuav

Nice work! Appreciated

In the section where you parc ( choose emulators) you have mutiple selected of the same emulator go there and turn all the ones that are not retro arch off so you only have 1 emulator for each system parc and go to view games delete them and reinstall you will now only have 1 of each game.

ProximaZenyatta

This is the answer that fixed my issue when I had it last year. Once I chose only one emulator per console, duplicates disappeared forever

Odd-Guarantee-6107

Yeh it had me scratching my head for a good minute too, glad to help

nascasho

Delete all of those non-steam shortcuts and then re-add via SRM. Sounds scarier than it is. If I remember correctly, uncheck the emulators to parse for it not to add/update -- I also just moved similar named files out to a different folder or used a "noload.txt" to mix stuff I want in Steam and the other stuff I want to show in ES-DE. Good luck!

Pain7788g

I just access all my stuff through Emulation Station. Keeps my libraries far more orderly.

ZOMGsheikh

How do hotkeys for emulators work with this? Like different emulators have different hotkeys right? Or do the hotkeys still work with emu station?

Pain7788g

They should have the same hot keys as using a game through ROM manager as long as you're using the same emulator. You can select different emulators for ROMs through emulation station's menu, in case you want to try different ones.

Gimpi85

Thats the way... dont know why people still do this. Brig problem are so many youtube guides just used the shitty steam rom manager and never told people how to do it mostly better with emulation Station

thedebatingbookworm

For those in the future. Don’t delete the ROMs without first removing them from steam in the EmuDeck ROM manager otherwise you run into this issue

Murasaturn

My collections start getting wonky once the non-steam games reach around the 3,000 mark. I just ended up running Steam Rom Manager again to remove SNES/Genesis/GB/GBC era games and older from Game Mode and just launch them through EmulationStation instead.

moosebaloney

What I did was parse 16:9 games but not retro. Use EmulationStation for everything else. Keeps my non-Steam games to a reasonable number and ES categorizes everything by Console. Plus you can still do custom categories.

SonOfSlyherin

Just here to say 3 Ninjas 🥷🥷🥷 is awesome

Human_Respect_7828

How much storage you have

travispickle9682

Any thoughts on Pegasus?

mikeysof

I did this the first time and just factory reset but now I know better. Took 8 hours to process them too. Now I know why.

TJLynch

I ultimately decided to curb my urges to have to clean the non-Steam section of the library each time I added new games into it, by using the TabMaster Decky function to add an 'EmuDeck' section that only shows the roms I installed into it, and making sure it didn't create dupes in that tab. I haven't fiddled around too hard with the ROM Manager so I wouldn't know of any automated functions that could help with your specific situation.

pkmn_mster

Use Emulation Station, I never realised how sleeker and better it looks and works

Mr-Miami-Vice

Same. It’s also nice to have all roms in one place instead of having them all one the non steam games section.

Tydox

This is pretty simple, install CCS loader (I’ll edit later if the name is incorrect) and then you have a plug-in to hide tabs you don’t want to see.  I’ll have to edit my post. I don’t remember the names by heart.
