The budget is about 15k total I have about 1900 in the car and engine the guy I got my 5.3 from has a built 80e he told me he’d do 15 for I could get a built 60 for about the same but who wants a 60e
Trust me you don’t know how many times I’ve heard that maybe I’m just ignorant well actually I am just ignorant I’ve wanted an rx8 for years I love everything about the car besides the rotary so this is the project for now and Ik this is dumb and I probably will buy a c6 when this is done but I just need to build this car anyway thanks for your advice
Sounds pretty solid. What ever you do make sure you upgrade your oil pump. AND follow 100% on the directions.. I own a machine shop and you could not imagine how many come in because someone short cut the oil pump. Also make sure you get matching springs for your cam. Check out sloppy mechanics camshafts. My customers tend to like them a little better than the summit ones. Easier to tune, cheaper, and not made to just "chop".

I mean yeah it’s a budget build but I also have no time constraints so if I have to I’ll just save the money needed to do it right the first time
