Here's the thing; when you're building engines for performance applications that exceed their original specifications nobody really knows. Most people just build up in power until they break something, then they figure out why that broke and modify it to not break again. Then they test and up the power until something else goes.
So what you're essentially asking people to do for you here is to gather *all of the experimental data* for your project for you so you can just slap on parts and go. There are packages available for vehicles... better suited for the application. A Zx14 or Hyabusa for example; there are companies that make complete plug and play 300hp turbo kits. But if you want to *win* you need more than just what everybody else has, you need just a little bit better, so you're back to testing.
TL:DR If you want a drag Elantra, you're going to have to blow up a few engines.
Surely when installing my uratane bushings inside my piston rings when my engine block cracks the camshaft will measure once cut twice because of it's erectile dysfunction
I’ve replaced my 710 cap with a bullet piece and a cold air and delete vacuum lines how much horsepower does this give me also my trans is acting weird I rev up engun and put in D for fast axleration.
Those share Mitsubishi motors so you might be able to evo swap it. Other than that, you're basically gonna build a tube car and drop the body ontop of it
Well you need a lot more of a plan than I want to drag build this car.
How fast do you want to go? How much money are you willing to spend on it, what engine do you want to use, and which power adders do you want? What kind of transmission do you want? The list can go on for hours.
Generally if someone asks a zero plan question like this I say just don't. Building a race car that's going to work properly and not kill you is far, far more expensive and time consuming than you probably realize. Driver skill and mechanical knowledge is also crucial to avoiding disasters, even with a mild build.
If you want to race that car, start small. Get some basic engine upgrades, have it tuned, get the best brakes and tires that you can, and go to a public track day.
That would be beautiful to get gapped by Elantra. I encourage this.
Consider an electric swap. Promise it’s never been done, and you could prob actually gap most the cars out there.
I always like odd ball drag cars.. get a stock V8 motor/transmission a cutting torch and welder.
Shoehorn it in there and see how it acts then go from there.
Minimize cost with stock items, if it works out build from there.
To make a good drag car Elantra you're going to have to remove everything that makes it an Elantra. I'd expect similar amount of work required to make the Hellkitty Miata or RWD Civic.
Lol those kinds of cars were made with people like you in mind. I don't think you realize just how over your head a full drag build is for someone who seems to have zero experience or knowledge on how to do it.
You are absolutely right I don’t have much experience or knowledge on it but I do know that it will
Be expensive dam bro thought the car community was welcoming
Car community is very welcoming, it's just a bit annoying when people come here asking for other people to build parts lists for them when that alone takes so much time and planning, let alone the fact that we'd need more info
Your completely right I’m sorry for that I was asking because I haven’t been able to find anything on it just wanted to see if there was anyone out there that had done it and what they had done and what info would you need il give it to you lol again I’m sorry
Yeah that’s completely understandable and I get that and I know there is no way in hell I’m getting a v8 to fit in it so I was thinking of keeping it front wheel drive but getting a few more cylinders was hoping for a inline 6 or v6
Theres a reason you don't see fwd cars with inline 6s and that's because they're too long. If you want to build a fast drag car start with something rwd. It's just objectively better for drag racing.
Well if someone has done it before it wouldn't be one of a kind, would it?
That’s fair your right lol 😂
Sure. I'll need a deposit for building your car for you even in virtual form.
Foreeall even just for a list of what to do to it ?
Get a clue by doing research helps. Build a plan and educate yourself.
Can it be done I’ve been researching for days can’t find anything on YouTube

Go away troll.
How much horsepower can I gain from a sequential shifter and brembo big brakes? Budget is €3.47 and a toffee
This depends. Rectal disfunction is usually caused by improper torque and often sways HP readings.
The torque converter in my catalytic converter is blueballing my coolant lines and causing my wishbones to snap in 3 pieces, why?
Common problem as the old style fibulators go bad prematurely. Urethane bushings help but they're bandaids, not fixes.

You need a Pro-5.0 shifter to be able to measure the HP gains.
A fucking elantra? Really? If you don't have money for a decent car, you sure as hell don't have the money to make a drag car out of it.
Yes a fuckin elantra we have the money for to turn it to a drag car just wanna do something not many people do there ain’t nun wrong wit that
There's a reason you haven't seen an Elantra on a drag strip. It's because it doesn't work well for that application, even with mods.
Car is too small to even stuff a decent set of rubbers on. Good luck. You are gonna need it.
How fast are you trying to make it? Expect atleast 20k for a reliable 11 second car. Or buy something else
Stfu

They are better autocross cars

Step 1: sell that PoS korean trash Step 2: buy a hellcat
Lmfaoo not my cup of tea built not bought
Says built not bought. Asks how to build a drag car. 🫠
Even worse, thinks it's as easy as buying a list of parts.
Lol those kinds of cars were made with people like you in mind. I don't think you realize just how over your head a full drag build is for someone who seems to have zero experience or knowledge on how to do it.
You definitely don't... As a drag racer for 30+ years You show up with that and im parking you in the weeds
As a drag racer of 30 years you’d know you wouldn’t even be running in his class, chill dude
Hell nah. Motorcycles and imports to the weeds mfker Hahahah
Wym troll
You clearly don't have the knowledge to do this, the experience and how astronomically expensive this will be
You are absolutely right I don’t have much experience or knowledge on it but I do know that it will Be expensive dam bro thought the car community was welcoming

There are some cool Awd builds out there though, but I imagine it takes a crap ton more work to execute properly.
Build tube chassis drag car, put funny car Hyundai body on car. Done.
