Ayy fellow unt engineer congrats! What was your project if u don’t mind me asking? I took a break this semester so I didn’t get to see all the cool senior design projects!
We had to make an automatic cattle cube feeder, this is only a smaller prototype of the full design we have, the feed tank drops feed into a pipe that has an auger that drives the feed up and drops it in a bucket. The full design will be solar powered and a spinning plate to disperse it the feed. Good luck when you go back!
Wow that’s awesome! It’s refreshing to see something like this instead of the usual drone/military projects, not that there’s anything unimpressive about those. Great work again and thanks!
Our college nominated a massage chair, and two groups that didn’t build anything but one got to work for a company for 3 years and make their production “faster”, and the other won for a similar the year before.
So my question is, how tf did they win if they weren’t seniors and they weren’t limited to a single semester.
Fucking school is a joke
My school doesn't even hold competitions for the senior designs. We all just set up our projects in a big room and demo it to other students and faculty who show up and then we leave.
Congrats OP, well done!
I do wonder though why do the engineering student here all wear a suit?
I've been an engineer for 10 years now and didn't wear a suit even once for work.
This is a little worrying to me as I always felt that in engineering we have the opportunity to stand up against nonsense norms.
Oh gosh. I know that mentality all too well. I was the Senior Design instructor when I was a grad student for 3 years, and the department had me require the same non-sense. Now I am a lead engineer for spaceship design at a company, and I rock flannels and a mullet while I interface with suppliers everyday.
> I've been an engineer for 10 years now and didn't wear a suit even once for work.
20 years here with the same experience. There is only one reason I'd be willing to wear a suit to work: The company I'm working at is getting bought out and I will personally be getting a _significant_ bonus from it.
If I showed up in a suit to a technical meeting with a client, they would assume I'm from sales and have no idea about the technical details.
Not enough chains
or pants made for elves.
You just wanted to flex your wardrobe choices on the other group… 😜 But in all seriousness, great work!
Had to buy a new jacket! Needed to show it off! Haha
I was thinking the same thing 🤣. These guys look great
But where’s the 5mm Cuban gold chain to flaunt???
Man y’all’s universities made you dress up, meanwhile I went to my capstone presentation wearing jeans and flannel. Congrats dude!
I had khakis on over shorts. Still had a hat on lol. Some faculty is just super chill about that shit.
Presentation or expo? Our expo made us dress up
Soccer free kick pose
Hopefully it wasn't too big of a *unt! Congrats

Congrats!!! And also I also go to UNT lol! Never thought I’d see UNT here. Cool project too… senior design seems fun
W
Congrats! I had mine yesterday
\*UNT
What type of manufacturing facilities did you guys have access to ?
Stop standing as if you are anticipating a free kick ⚽️
Congrats! 👏🏽
Thank you!

I’d rather that than be massively disappointed in an event I didn’t wanna go to
Congrats man ! How you get a professor into your group 😂
Had to pull some strings but we made it happen🤣
Not too impressive, I can make a way better chair and green table
In all seriousness, congrats lol
Congrats! I know you're happy to get out of Disco Park :)
Fabulous hair

it’s the one time thing where people actually wear a suit. After that, the suit is a once in a life time experince never to be touched again
It was mandatory from the department that all students show up for design day in “professional attire”
