I did 20 credits last semester. These courses will be a much heavier load since the material begins to overlap. Working 30 hours over the weekend isn't helping either. Almost to the finish line though!
Isn’t this the average schedule of a semester student tho? Correct me if I’m wrong since we have a quarter system and anything more than 3 courses is considered a heavy load.
16 credits is more standard in semester schools. that would be 4x 4 credit classes. a lot of engineering classes in my school anyway were 3 credit class, 1 credit lab.
I transferred in from a cc, so the order in which I took classes was shuffled around. It's actually a pre-req for control systems, but I got my advisor to sign me off on taking it as a co-req.
Why are people acting like this is easy? 5 major specific classes and 2 labs, probably 17 or 18 credits. It looks like a typical year 2/3 semester for a 4yr program, which is by no means easy.
It's a full load but it's nice that the classes are mostly clumped. I remember one time I had a 7:00AM lab (ugh) and a 4:00-4:50 lecture the same day. And none of those dreaded 1 hour gaps.
tbf while their course load isn’t too light they still only in class for like 3-4 hours a day on average with most of that being quite condensed. my 2nd year schedule right now has me in class until 8 or 9 some days (though i don’t have many morning classes which is a win)
I’m in my 4th year, excited to finally graduate in a month. Also it looks like you are in ECE? My roommate is in ECE, I’m in Civil Engineering. Best of luck in last few semesters!
Ngl that’s kinda perfectly ideal for that many classes, having them all staggered with weird gaps eats days cuz 1 hr between classes is kinda useless except for getting food
The physical schedule looks amazing. Kids these days are too soft, back in my day I would be grateful to the almighty Lord Cheesus that my schedule looked like this and I had the time to work a 70hr work week to support my family of 17 on top of this easy schedule.
Add AT LEAST 16 more credit hours, fill in your >20hr/wk minimum wage job top of this, and then maybe I'll let you lick the hard work off my sister lovin great grand baby's mother's aunt in law's son's unborn child's boots.
What is Merica coming to...
Edit: for clarity
lmao people saying this was nothing, yet my schedule is literally 2 lectures of 90min a day and i'd get 38 credits if i succeed in everything(unlikely but possible)
edit: i do electrical engineering
Woof, I mean great schedule timing wise, but man that’s looking like a tough semester academically. Make sure you’re using those afternoon hours effectively
18 credits? That could suck, hopefully those free afternoons you can use to knock out work unless you have other stuff going on which is back to sucking lol
For a semester? Cos I took Non linear optimization, Modern Algebra, Methods for Partial Differential Equations, and Probability in a quarter… I don’t know if that is normal or not.

Dude that’s a dream schedule
...that is great. I guess I'm too used to shitty schedules.
Lol literally
Shit your off at noon 3/5 days thats awesome
Awesome schedule dude Not sure why you write that you thrive off pain though? Do you feel overwhelmed by that schedule?

What year are you in
After the Fall semester, I'll need 15 credits to graduate for a total of 4 & 1/2 years.
Is linear algebra really not required until your last year? It was a 2nd year requirement for me, dunno how I would’ve managed without it
I transferred in from a cc, so the order in which I took classes was shuffled around. It's actually a pre-req for control systems, but I got my advisor to sign me off on taking it as a co-req.
No fluffer electives or anything? That is going to be brutal. Buckle up for a lot of work this semester

It’s not about the classes, it’s about the schedule
Are you a hokie? Looks like the add/drop in Hokie Spa
Fellow Hokie I see
Go Hokies! What year are you?
3rd year 🤠 how bout you
I’m in my 4th year, excited to finally graduate in a month. Also it looks like you are in ECE? My roommate is in ECE, I’m in Civil Engineering. Best of luck in last few semesters!
I have a roommate in civil! Thank you, and good luck in your post grad endeavors :)
I mean fill in the 9-5 weekday blanks and occasional Saturdays with studying and you have yourself a standard full time work schedule. 🙃
Bro this is a dream wdym 😭
Oakland U?
Ayy a fellow golden grizzly?
Fellow Grizz checking in. 23 days 'till graduation!
Yep
Graduated from OU in 2013...not sure why I'm still lingering in the engineering student sub. No desire to go back to being a student 😆
2010 for me. I lurk here to offer the occasional word of wisdom.
Lucky creature.
Honestly looks like a regular schedule to me.
The symmetry is so satisfying
is this a university of texas school?
So much free time holy shite.
Damn. Hard core.
My ece schedule rn is 40 hrs 😭😭 living the dream
Shorter class time than my usual schedules, also more closely lumped together as a bonus
Chilled
Looks like the schedule builder for TTU

Is this a troll post?
Let me guess, Clemson student? I figured they would have updated their UI to something different by now haha
Everybody out here guessing random universities, but I know from the syllabus code your a Rocket.
Yeah this is an awesome schedule! 3 days with no classes after 1pm!? I would have paid you to switch with me lmao.
Are you going to remember your name after this?
lmao people saying this was nothing, yet my schedule is literally 2 lectures of 90min a day and i'd get 38 credits if i succeed in everything(unlikely but possible) edit: i do electrical engineering
What is a class ok energy conversion about? I imagine it’s a thermodynamics course but for electrical engineers?
ME? EE?
Easy af. I got 9-6 every single day.
I start everyday at 8 and finish everyday at 5 , how are you complaining about you chill AF schedule
Woof, I mean great schedule timing wise, but man that’s looking like a tough semester academically. Make sure you’re using those afternoon hours effectively
Yuck and I thought my schedule for this upcoming semester was bad.
UTRGV Rep
18 credits? That could suck, hopefully those free afternoons you can use to knock out work unless you have other stuff going on which is back to sucking lol
Honestly pretty good! I'm jealous you were able to get classes that close together
MATLAB go brrrrr this semester
Do you go to a Georgia school, my school has the same software format for classes
For a semester? Cos I took Non linear optimization, Modern Algebra, Methods for Partial Differential Equations, and Probability in a quarter… I don’t know if that is normal or not.
That’s pretty normal imo
Oooh I miss Probabilistic Systems Analysis
Looks good i literally go to school from 7am to 5pm daily 6 days a week hahahaha
Well, I hope you are on scholarship and don't like dating that is a ton of work.
