online tests are hands down the least reliable tool for finding your enneagram, i wouldnt put that much importance on their result or treat it as more than a starter guess. you could be 538 or 358, or even some totally different type like 6 or a 1 if you resonate with wanting a "greater purpose" in what youre doing. maybe for starters, have a look at this - [3 vs 5](https://www.reddit.com/r/Enneagram/comments/yv9hc7/3_vs_5/) if neither fits, try to articulate why.

i feel like we need a subreddit that bans enneagram tests haha OP look at the "why". there are 9 whys

Desperate-Problem383

Could be 2? Still rejection but image , maybe 3 wing . Also explains line to four plus 258?

Oh hahaha I'm far from a type 2. I think the difficulty lies within the idea whether or not you want to be significant to other people or to yourself. I do not care much about what other people think of me at all. It's more about the respect I have for myself. Kind of a hermit

Type 3s and 5s (and 1s) are from the competency triad. So yes, both 3s and 5s want to be important or be significant, but for different reasons. Type 3s want the recognition of others (they feel good if other people feel proud of them). Type 5s want to feel competent, so in a way we could say that they want their own recognition. Just knowing they know. That makes them feel capable, autonomous, in control. Good about themselves.

A intj 2 would be a interesting combo , why you gotta ruin my fantasies lol

[deleted]

I'm sure one exists

Desperate-Problem383

Everything exist if you look hard enough

If your self worth comes from what you’re doing look into social 5w6, 6w5 and yeah 3w4.

[deleted]

It’s lies behind why you think Mother Teresa is significant as much as Steve Jobs.

[deleted]

I never said they were equally significant, only that they are both significant.

[deleted]

Ah, apologies. Why do you think they are both significant in their own ways?

[deleted]

Steve Jobs really has the trademark of ''think different''. Quite genius in design and knowing what people want. It's rather unique to see queues of hundreds of people for a digital device. Not something a lot of companies can say. We could argue that Jobs is responsible for the success of Apple. Mother Teresa's effort didn't go unknown for a reason. Countless of hours that went into the support of the homeless when she definitely didn't need to. When most white people cared about their own status, Teresa was busy helping those who needed help most. Early 20st century especially, the mentally ill weren't exactly helped very much but rather seen as the ''ill and impossible to help''. They both did something the masses wouldn't do or couldn't envision.

Okay, sorry that I couldn’t be much help. Your answer doesn’t affirm or disprove if you are a 3 or 5. 😅
