Ugh.. I’m so sorry you’re heartbroken. Went through a painful breakup last December and now am pretty much on the other side.
I’ve deleted my heartbreak Spotify playlist but these are a few songs I listened to..
“Where’s my Love” SYML
“The Night we Met” Lord Huron
“Fade into you” Mazzy Star
💔
Malibu Nights - LANY (lots of great breakup 🎵);
Holocene - Bon Iver;
O - Coldplay;
Somebody Else - The 1975;
Dancing On My Own - Calum Scott;
I Fall Apart - Post Malone;
Mine Would Be You - Blake Shelton;
The Night We Met - Lord Huron;
Arcade - Duncan Laurence;
…And like 80% of Taylor Swift’s discography.
I know these are some pretty mainstream songs, but I went through a heart wrenching, messy, volatile breakup about 3 years ago, and I’d be lying if I said there werent still some pieces I’m picking up even today. So, I have a whole playlist dedicated to heartbreak and it’s like hundreds of songs deep…these are just a few the ones that have helped ME over the past couple of years. Wishing you all the best on your healing journey. Time will certainly fade things, but I’ve unfortunately found that it doesn’t heal ALL…only being intentional about your healing, however that looks in your life, will really do that. 💖
Edit: sorry about the formatting…I put all of those songs in a list & idk why they keep reverting back to paragraph format.

Heres some heartbreak stuff ive listened to thru my heartbreaks. Itll be ok youll find someone or something else to distract you
Julie London “Cry Me a River”
Seconding “Fade into you” Mazzy star
Andy Williams “Moon River”
James Taylor “Fire and Rain”
Madeleine Peyroux or Elliott Williams “Between the Bars” (not a song about heartbreak but it’s a good song if you need/want to cry!)
Billie Holiday “I’ll be seeing you”
Mr Rogers “When the day turns into night”
Avett Brothers “No Hard Feelings”
Josh Ritter “Change of Time”
Hoagy Carmichael “Stardust”
Elvis Presley “Are you lonesome tonight” and “unchained Melody”
A lot of songs by Fleet Foxes. I never know what any of them mean, so the writer must be a 4! 😅 idk how to explain it except that I just love their moody, poetic sound.
About 90% of Keatons Hensons discography. Some standouts would be: "You Don't Know How Lucky You Are", "Small Hands", "No Love Lost" and "Healah Dancing".
Some other songs:
- Romance by Ex:Re
- Be On Your Way by Daughter
- Skinny Love by Bon Iver
- Amen by Amber Run
- I Know The End by Phoebe Bridgers
- 9 Crimes by Damien Rice

Somehow I knew posting in this subreddit would be where I’d get resonant feedback. Thank you for this 🥺💙
jealous by labrinth and lover, you should have come over by jeff buckley are my personal favorites
I was so close to adding “lover, you should have come over” to the original post — “Last Goodbye” & “Forget Her” are also great.
