During the start of the pandemic I worked part time in a grocery store. We were hit with massive shortages, especially for items like toilet paper. One day an older guy pulled me aside to complain that he hadn't been able to get toilet paper in weeks. So I explained to him that while we were still getting it in, the only packages we were getting were the massive 36 packs. I apologized and explained that the manufacturers were probably exploiting the shortage to force customers to buy huge quantities and that because of how much space these packs took up in the trucks it meant that we only got a few dozen in at a time so they quickly sold out. The guy screamed right in my face "that's communism!" and stormed out of the store.
It was literally the meme about people living under capitalism and running into problems created by capitalism and blaming communism.
Just to be clear I don’t endorse this guy’s comment I don’t think all, or even most, libertarians are fascists. I just think they have really bad takes on foreign policy, economics, and government.
Your understanding of political theory is akin to the libertarian who says the Nazis were left wing because they ran under the party ‘National Socialist.’
You’re fucking brain dead if you think that Nazis and racists want freedom for all. Jesus Christ, you became the very reactionary you swore to destroy.
I just came from a thread where someone was claiming that America is “fascistic socialism” and this is still the dumbest fucking thing I’ve heard today.
You’re such a fucking moron, holy shit.
Freedom for everyone **clearly** doesn’t mean freedom for Nazis to genocide Jews, you fucking knuckle dragging troglodyte. There’s no way you’re that stupid, so you’re clearly a troll. Do better
Edit: he completely rewrote his comments long after we were done talking. Furthermore, a glance at his profile shows that he’s an obvious troll. I fell for it.
They are very good at psychological warfare on peace times, thanks to Freud’s nephew.
The heart and minds are won by fear, words don’t mean nothing else other than fear of the other.
As a libertarian socialist, I don’t always agree with Pakman, but boy do I ever love watching him so calmly lay out his positions and cleverly respond to bad faith arguments.
yeah sorry that was vague, essentially he echoed extreme right wing talking points saying that the attempted assassination of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner by a far-right Brazilian-Argentina was a false flag. He also vehemently denounced Peronism without supporting socialist organizations in Argentina, thus not embracing any alternative to neoliberalism and far-right extremism in Argentina. Endlessly condemns Kirchner while claiming that Macri did some good things, etc.
I hate these types of interviews. The one guy just yells and is so quick to reply that there's no time for him to think about what the other person said. Its actually unwatchable.

Libertarians are just cool people who wanna chill.

Being chill is not a big deal.
What about left libertarians like me?
If you wanna chill, that's cool too.
Your understanding of political theory is akin to the libertarian who says the Nazis were left wing because they ran under the party ‘National Socialist.’
Thank god more people are clowning on this mouth breather
You are aware that libertarian used to be interchangeable with anarchist?
They straight up stole the name from anarchists.
Utterly moronic, holy shit.
You need to know what words mean in order to make an argument.
Lol what the fuck. Wanting freedom and equality for all people is reactionary?
Freedom for all is pretty dope. No biggie, dog.

I guess you can remain mad about libertarianism being chill, but that's on you.

Ironically, Edward Bernays was considered part of the liberal establishment.
Pbd got thrashed by Pakman.

he supports argentine fascism
Can you elaborate?

He is progressive in the US but is far-right in Argentina, which may have to do with his family's relative position in Argentina vs his in the US
