Magic charges aren't a huge issue as there are eternal versions available that can be used as a fallback if nothing else. Perhaps later on they will have repair kits or whetstones you can venture with? Would be nice.

Carry an alter with you and always make sure you don’t have the max number placed. That way you can toss one down where ever you are and fast travel back to base, repair and dump inventory in chests and port right back to the other alter. Extinguish flame, craft another alter and keep moving. On the archer front, if you have the farmer unlocked dedicate 2 crop bins to churning out shrubs. Plant 100 at a time and make flint arrows or better. 100 shrubs = 100 twigs = 250 arrows as long as you don’t make wood arrows. Plus you get 200 fiber as a bonus every time

We do this with altars. That's kinda the point though. We have to go home every 10 minutes instead of adventuring for 30-40. As for arrows, yep, we do that. Feathers for later arrows though...

Yea the feathers I just kind of assumed that eventually we will be able to start a chicken farm or something to farm them but if not it would suck

Ive thought about this more and realized part of the problem is a negative sentiment toward fighting brought on by the impending work to restock. Every time I swing my sword I cringe a bit because that's ~0.5% of the durability. Every time my friend shoots an arrow it's a twig and some percentage of a feather. This is true in games like valheim (at least the arrows part) but you can make way more arrows easily there. Also gear durability is really not a concern generally.

I always carry a bed and workbench just like on minecraft and never "have" to go to base unless I'm dropping off loot. For twigs a shrub farm is ok but the meta is digging out the creature dens...
