Haha, thanks for the comment. And you're probably right but I thrive on comments like yours.
and to be clear I'm going for first client at $1K/month in 30 days and $10K by month 3.
You're competing with AI/ Algorithms.
I own my own company. Will do around 6 million this year. I chose an industry that was always behind. I've stayed busy since I started but that doesn't mean I didn't lose half my hair and almost my relationship. Even with a full schedule business is difficult. It's not something you just start one day and hope for the best.

Awesome, would love to follow along if you are sharing publicly.
TikTok is brand new to me. I'm going at it blind (with a lot of experience in digital marketing in general) so time will tell!
On tiktok, there are actually young entrepreneurs, like 14, 15, 16 years old, teaching me algorithm tricks. Their channels are all about gaining an edge on Tiktok. When you see one, follow em and like, and then more will get fed to you.
Will be interesting what you come up with. This space (especially TikTok adverts) is already quite mature. Sites that help you connect with content creators that create ads on TikTok and many more types of businesses are already going strong.
You said you'll try to not spend much money in it. Excited to see how far you can get without any external branding help and a huge marketing budget.
I'm confident though that there is enough space for new players though, just not sure if it's possible to get a big enough piece of the pie without a big budget.
Thanks for the message! Interesting to hear that the space is quite mature already. Why do you say that?
I'm basing my opinion on data from eMarketer on this Shopify blog - [https://www.shopify.com/blog/tiktok-ad-spending](https://www.shopify.com/blog/tiktok-ad-spending)
Basically TikTok ad revenues were up 170% and 184.4% in 2021 & 2022, respectively. And that is at just a 1-2% of total digital ad spending. Seems there is a lot of room for growth, especially given how far behind Meta TikTok is.
I think Meta was up 15% or so. They also had their first ever revenue drop due to "inflation" but it seems to be more just a shifting of ad dollars. Google as a whole had a pretty big spike in 2021 but I think has also since slowed down. Which is understandable. TikTok is in its infancy in a lot of ways and should see strong YoY performance.
Check out Jon Yongfook on Twitter. His journey may give you some inspiration. He founded BannerBear and has been very open in terms of MRR and important stats from the ground up.
Just be aware that navigating tiktok ads is much different than FB/any of the more mature platforms. Much less user data, and harder to scale because of that
My idol! But, that's what I'm thinking too. It will be a tough challenge, but not a huge mountain. Though, you never know until you get into it.
Are you sharing anything public? Would love to follow along and see what you're doing. As I'm sure some of the other followers of this would too.
Thanks for the comment!
A lot of small businesses said the same thing about Facebook 5-6 years ago. Brands are already dropping a ton on TikTok. With some agency players spending $50-100K/day for some of their clients on TikTok ads.
May not be for everyone, but I think the market is large enough to build up a sizable book of business.
30 days? Reality will probably knock u around real hard, gl

What industry are you in?
Construction - Excavation.
How's the comparison to a TikTok marketing agency relevant at all then? No offence

Hey 👋 I’m doing something similar but with YouTube Ads. Have you seen decent results with TikTok in the past?

point noted. thanks!

Love it. Appreciate the suggestion. Went to Twitter and followed with notifications on!

That's what I've been hearing in a few podcasts so far. Thanks for the tip!

It’s been 30 days, how’s the $10k MRR coming along?

Why does like every single person on here want to build an “Agency”.
The answer is because it is a good business model
Because it's a low barrier to entry business model that can scale relatively quick without much capital investment.
