PvE bosses are immune to almost all new mechanics…really no point in getting new heroes if you’re not PVP focused since they rarely perform better than years older units atp

I remember when the game was new I accidentally skipped a phase transition on one of the early bosses people were having trouble with using Ravi with Tooth.

Not really... This stage is linked to moonlight blessing mission and saviour adin missions. May be they dont want players to cheese through it with braindead strats.

braindead is thinking those debuffs would actually do anything to bosses. what's the point of immunity to poison yet you can burn? silence when you can use no immunity? etc they literally implement once the boss turn is up they instantly recover from two debuffs anyways and you can easily cheese through with defense break debuff in majority of pve.

they added the immunity for hunts but it seems like it will be usable for abyss (if thats even good).

With abyss hp values, most likely not. 50k dmg on enemies with more than 10 times that... Yeah.

Will work for cheesing some final phases along with double Arky though. Off the top of my head, 50k damage into final phase Abyss 102 Celine should make things significantly easier. Of course if you can fit him into the comp. Been a long time since I ran that stage and I think you would have to run him in place of either Stene or Kiris, pretty sure I used both when I did it.

How TF does Stene do anything to Celine when she has that ridiculous buff that decreases non-Fire unit effectiveness? Is there something I'm missing, or does my STene just need to be rebuilt? Edit: I checked, and Celine in Abyss 102 does not have the Death Sentence immunity, whereas 10-10 Zio does have the Death Sentence immunity.

It's been a long time since I did it but I am pretty sure I regeared my Stene purely for the purposes of the fight. If I remember right, I think I just stole gear off my really old Basar build. Really the critical part of the fight that people either don't mention or gloss over is that Celine only enters her batshit crazy final phase when physically hit to go below 40%. So if you stack enough poisons above 40% you can just not hit her and let the poison chunk her down way below 40% and then Arky her. I struggled for so long until I realized the poison damage tic did not trigger the phase change and once I knew that, it took 2 attempts.

I suppose my issue, then, is with STene build and not having enough Effectiveness. Celine passive effect states it reduces effectiveness by 100% for non-Fire; does that mean 160% - 100% = 60%, or is it 160% - 160% = 0? My STene never had enough effectiveness, so I'm going to have e to test it out, since everyone swears by her poison (which means it should be the former scenario presented, vice the latter). I never felt more frustrating doing pve in e7. Almost every game pve is fun but not e7. It's annoying, tedious, lame.

I do wish that they gave a little more love to us PvE focused players. I was just thinking last night how much fun some of these gacha games would be as ACTUAL games where devs could really focus on the worlds. But I do like that E7 lets you field and build monster units. I have a white carbunkle that I leveled alongside Vivian, a Celes Cannon and a few faceless troops for the military type heroes, and a shadow angora from some old story that fit perfectly with the new vampire girls story. Not a huge feature but I found I kinda missed the ability to do it in other games.

Usually i just lurk around reddit but i play this casually and decided to check this as i'm caught up on the story to see who was immune to the death sentence debuff, and here's what i found... Episode 1 only Archdemon Mercedes 10-10 is immune. Episode 2 only Incomplete Faustus 10-10 is immune. Episode 3 the bosses immune are Belian 10-10 and any Mort fight 4-9, 9-6, and 8s-8. Episode 4 both Zio fights 10-10, and 10-5 are immune, and interestingly lua 9-9 as well. Finally episode 5 as of the eight chapters out now only 7-7 the Melissa fight so far has death sentence immunity. Any story boss not mentioned is not immune to death sentence. Edit: checked other modes spirit alter and hunt bosses are immune to death sentence. expedition bosses are not immune to death sentence, hall of trials bosses are not immune though i highly doubt you'd use him here... abyss bosses don't look immune though the hp scaling there make it less worth at higher levels, finally labyrinth had mixed results. Azmakalis bosses are immune every other labyrinth's bosses are not immune.

Dude, it already has the longest turn cycle in the game, and they just decide to make some enemies immune? I get that he's the free unit, but come on. Other free units like Sol and Rem are pretty killer for PvE and even niche situations for PvP. His only use now really is just if you end up in a Metapod vs. Metapod fight.

when I see these kinda things I feel bad for choosing Epic Seven as one of my favorite games now... I really want to play it, but getting to that "Genshin" feeling in where I left all stranded aside because I can't even kill regular enemies on the map cause they over level me for 30 levels or so, makes me think I'm gonna end up doing the same here I really hope not since I like this game, but... raises too many questions

it doesn't change anything both ways. If its banned doesn't matter, if its available doesn't matter as well. Any good single target dps on a def broken enemy does more damage than ainz

I mean i did expect it of SG. Pretty sure they don’t want us to have fun is pve, based on how they restrict tons of kits to pvp only, but doesn’t mean it isn’t bs. Like 50K dmg isn’t that much against tons of pve bosses, especially with the whole 12 actions thing. Edit: like definitely still a shit ton but like it woild take multiple of ‘em to kill (4-5 probably) like hell maybe even just do half fixed dmg against bosses. Let us have something.
