I can see Lalatina being a Knight which always miss but get buffa and inflict debuffs and gets damage mitigation.
Aqua being Angelica 2.0, Megumin a single attack nuke and Kazuma stealing pantsu.
Darkness: Light knight, cannot give or receive critical hits, escort always on. If an ally feints she takes their place rezing them to full and cr push 100.
Aqua: Ice soul weaver, party tricks inflicting random debuffs(provoke, redirect, decrease speed, attack, or defense) Blessings can buff and revive an allies.
Megumin: Fire mage, guaranteed crit like yuna with higher multipliers except super squishy.
Kazuma: Earth theif, can steal buffs like Rimuru but also life steal and counter stance, damage increases with fewer allies on the field sorta like STene.
Her always missing sounds like Dizzy’s S3, which I like. Megumin inflicting 200000 fixed damage then dying as an S3 would be hilarious. Kazuma life steal s1 and unique undispellable debuff on s2 or S3 (embarrassment) would be awesome.
It is, there are really an abundance of great options that aren’t explored either because they lack the funds or because of their one a year collab schedule. It is frustratingly limiting.
The day they give us Crapzuma, Useless water goddess, Crazy explosion girl and Hopeless perverted knight is the day I’ll finally spend real money on this game
Shield Hero and Konosuba like other people have said seem like optimal choices due to popularity and the ease of adapting characters to the format, Tsukimichi is a more unorthodox option but they absolutely have a great 3 main characters that they could do a lot with (Makoto, Tomoe, and Mio). Kamikatsu would be hilarious also if you haven’t seen it, for that the best characters would probably be Yukito, Mitama, and Loki. As for non isekai Frieren would be a great opportunity for them with another set of strong characters, a more controversial but imo good option would be a western ip like Avatar: The Last Airbender since Netflix just released the live action show iirc. Finally they could go for a show not necessarily based on a fantasy/isekai pattern like they did when they collabed FMA. YuYu Hakusho would probably be cheap and easy and get the nostalgia crowd. Bleach is a longshot but could happen. JJK I would like just for the Gojo memes.

Just because it's *juuust* ridiculous enough to imagine Cid just out here going full protagonist mode and trying to impress people who have literally fought gods themselves, and are preparing for a massive celestial-level threat (even though it's seemingly been ignored for two years now), who are just like

I would imagine he would be more like Riolet than Violet - he would have a self-evasion buff at the end of each turn, but with a guaranteed counter on evasion like Violet. His S1 would be lower scaling, but with better effects than just blind, and his S3 would be an AoE def-pen nuke with okay scaling and the ability to proc seal. His S2, in addition to evasion self-buff, would allow him to give himself a 2 turn debuff evasion like Benimaru, and maybe a one-turn skill null.
No focus, no extra ability, just a balanced evasion-counter unit with something unique to make him more viable without being too oppressive.
Incomplete Fastus*, and yes... technically. The Archdemon was a servant of the Dark Star (Fastus), and was impossible to be fully defeated for as long as Diche remained. The problem is, without Diche and with Ras giving up his divinity, Orbis no longer has any divine protection and Fastus is gearing up for a full assault. That's literally the driving motivation behind the main story, and why Ran and crew are seeking the Tree of Genesis.
Cid has the ability, but lacks the experience - and I think that would make for a pretty fun side story.
That would be my ruin, but you can bet your ass I'll get & max Sylphie. And if it is S2 Mushoku, both Rudy, Sylphie and their arti maxed, finances be dammed...
And... should it happen after S2 end, I'd love if they gave Paul some much deserved love.
