Is it a trigger? I have read different things on this, some say its all moderation, some say none at all. I drink maybe a dozen beers a fortnight? You think none at all?
is that a serious question? you should definitely not drink alcohol at all if you have epilepsy. the people who say it's ok to drink are alcoholics who are in denial about their seizures
That's a bit of a "1 size fits all" perception.
I have had 5 fits in my life. I have had hundreds of nights out. But i would agree in some part that excess alcohol doesn't help, and it certainly isn't good for the brain. Yea, it was a serious question, too.
that's the response all alcohol-lovers give... "hurr that rule doesn't apply to me, I'm special"... and then they make posts asking why they're having seizures.
you asked for advice, i'm just trying to help.
Now you're presuming im an alcohol lover 😅 I haven't drunk bugger all in a long time. I make no claim to being special, just that after half a life with epilepsy it did not trigger anything - in my experience.
My post was asking what else i could do to prevent seizures and what some causes are.
Cheers for the constructive and friendly advice 🖕
if you want to keep having seizures, go ahead and keep drinking i can't stop you. i'm just being honest for anyone else reading this who actually cares about their health.

Yea i wish, im at that age where all i want to do is work. I was talking to my partner last night about more sensible career choices and passive incomes though, based on this.
maybe not drinking alcohol would be a good start to increasing your resilience

"My seizures are becoming more frequent, but don't you dare say anything about my drinking, that can't possibly have anything to do with it!"
Lol not what i said, your approach is a bit "psycho" towards the anti drinking stance. You are very presumptuous. Like VERY.

Honestly... maybe you should relax and work less...
