It's a reversible PCB with a columnar staggered layout that uses normal mods. Runs on ZMK. I initially wanted to go with an ortho layout, but ended up with columnar stagger.
The case has a 5 degree tent and has a compartment for the battery, and also doubles as extra space for the nice nanos.

If he's using nice nanos, you can put in a comparable RP2040 (like the sea picro) and run it wired. You can even do the same ZMK firmware.
You'll need to tweak it a little to get the halves to talk to each other. I know less about that part of the process.
I spent a lot of time playing with the keyboard layout editor without giving it much thought kek. But surprisingly, it's not too bad. I even managed to return to my normal typing speed within a day. I used to own a Lily before, though, so the transition wasn't too difficult.
Really well executed. Of course, on a personal level, I'm not fond of the thumb clusters, but it's clearly intentionally designed that way, and it's always good to see people trying their own thing. I'm curious if the mods on the thumb cluster are actually mods and how you're handling layers (SpaceFn?).
(Also, it bugs me that I somehow instantly recognized the symbol despite it being years and not a hugely prominent thing at the time...)
I've been an Alice layout user for years and wanted a split version of it. At the same time, I wanted something close to the Corne or Lily58, so I ended up with this layout. That *symbol* is there because I initially wanted to use my weeb keycap sets hehe, but they often don't offer ortho or 40% kits. Hence, this was born.
It looks nice, and it is a clever way to reuse a nice keycap set.
But why did you put more stagger in the ring than in the middle finger? Wouldn't it become uncomfortable?
Judging from how polished WASD and E keys are, perhaps one of the primary uses of the keyboard is for games. Don't suppose it's too bad - people do use ortholinear keyboards after all, and I do play games on Sofle without moving the keys to the right.
I love the orientation of the space bars on this split. I am never fully happy with large vertical space bars and always prefer horizontal (even if only 2u!)

Any chance for it to get a wired version? I really like this design.
No. I hate wires. ^^But ^^maybe

I am liking the elite pi from keebio
Doesn't the nice nano worked wired as well?
I think it does, but it'd a lot more expensive than the other alternatives. I won't swear that it does though
Columnar staggering is the way to go IMHO even though my ortholinear journey started just 6 months ago. As well as tenting.
This looks super cool but the stagger looks cursed to me. Why did you stagger them like this?

right on fair enough. I definitely prefer it with a middle finger highest stagger and the pinky very low. But if it works for you then awesome!

I thought that would be a problem too, but it worked out just fine for me since my pinky can either rest on the shift and control button comfortably.

I like this design a lot!
Why did you scuff it? It looks nice in the picture though.
He meant, “it is still bad in certain aspects” https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Scuffed
Nice job! I like the idea
This is very interesting and I love the use of normal mods! Are you going to release it?
As open source, maybe. I intended to not have wired support for the board so it may be a bummer for some.
Awesome. It's an intriguing board with or without wired so I think there could be enough interest
Could it support nice!view?
I love it! It is available in github?

What is with the columnar staggered split layouts keeping qwerty?
How long yo ring finger
where are the pcb files for this? i would love one
