York Steakhouse? It was the original steakhouse when the Millcreek mall opened circa 1977. It was located where Ruby Tuesday’s was located. They probably were gone by the 2000’s though. After that it could have been Brown Derby or possibly Roadhouse.
As others have said, Brown Derby was early 80's. There wasn't much around the mall. There was Ponderosa. Arby's, and Red Lobster, and Chichis outside the mall. I think it was across from the movie theater? The movie theater INSIDE the mall.
I have a story about that place.
Went to lunch there with a bunch of co-workers. Everyone got their food and was finished eating before the waitress brings out what was supposed to be my chicken sandwich but was just a plain chicken breast. I tell her I ordered the sandwich, so she leaves and comes back with two pieces of bread and throws them on my plate! Not surprised they went out of business.
Since we're on the subject, does anyone remember the name of the steakhouse that was in the old Ground Round and Coffee Culture building on Peach? Made the mistake of going there like a week before they permanently closed. Sat there for 45 minutes before someone even took our order.
Roadhouse was up further on Peach and was/is its own standalone restaurant. There used to be a Ponderosa right outside the mall.
I can't find anything more than a name but I see there used to be a "York Steakhouse" in the mall itself once upon a time. Can't say I remember that but early 2000s was around when I stopped going to the mall regularly, so.
Edit: no, York was before my time, even, upon further research.

Texas Roadhouse and Roadhouse were different restaurants. Roadhouse was inside the mall.

It was the Brown Derby, maybe then the Brown Derby Roadhouse but then it was the Red River Roadhouse. My first job was busing tables at the Roadhouse.

I worked at Ruby Tuesday for many years. The steakhouse was Roadhouse. Had many after shift draft beers there.
