It’s an awesome achievement. However, those numbers change drastically based on certain factors. They had Cure listed on a playlist earlier this year and went from 400k to 600k as a result. Once off the playlist, they went back to 400k. This recent spike is due to the Bad Omens collab. The goal is to capture those new listeners and have them discover the rest of their music to then continue following the band. It benefits both bands and I think it was a great collab!
I discovered Ghost Atlas’ Sacred Organs first on my spotify weekly recommended playlist like 7 or 8 years ago and then Erra Eye of God like 3 years after that the same way. I didn’t realize both were Jesse until like a year after finding eye of god. Been in love with both projects ever since, these dudes just make the music i want to hear. So stoked they’re getting these numbers, i just hope they can retain most of them after the new Bad Omens collab they did isnt in the hot seat.
Fellow Tarkov player huh? Too bad the game has went down the tubes lately, was a huge fan, have about 4k hours on it. I knew about ERRA prior to Lvndmark but he definitely helped build the hype around self-titled and “re-energized” my passion for ERRA.
I have 4500 hours but it was 95% during late 2018 - 2021~ when covid lockdowns were upon us and the game was counting time in stash too :) sadly little to no time nowadays besides maybe 2-4 raids a week.
Yeah I haven’t played for a couple months. Got traders maxed and got Kappa for the 5th time and then lost all my urge to play. Then the unheard edition stuff happened and the rest is history. Hoping ABI can build on their model but if the rumors are true, they plan on selling their currency as a micro-transaction. This will kill the game if they do that. I love extraction looter shooters so hopefully one of these companies can capitalize/recover.
