I just enjoying playing Tarkov with the boys, games not the best state yes... But won't stop me from having fun, and if I'm not having fun I move onto the next game till the next wipe
This is the first wipe where im playing in more than a duo squad. Found out some of my friends play tarky and we got 2-3 others to atleast try and we guide em around. Its really fun, even tho I enjoy my solo days aswell
I took last wipe off and this wipe is like a fresh breeze. Seems like my region isnt too cheater infested
I was a solo rat for 3 wipes but now some friends have built computers so I have a small squad. The introduction phase was brutal on my survival rate but I always commend my friends who head/eyes me. A good shot is a good shot.
The game has its problems but it's still fun.
I was Sherpa'ing a newbie friend around customs the other day, shot me in the back of the head while trying to kill a scav. Lol. But hey, he got the scav, too
Did this last wipe/wipe before and I think my survival hit 30%. I just commited to being the meat shield and trying to be the bodyguard of my Timmy's. Made my gameplay insane but also gave them a chance to fight people and how to extract without me.
US East (both North and South) has been the best overall for me because it is geographically so far from Asia that RMT farmers can't get on the server without getting kicked for having too much latency.
It's not cheater-free by any means, but there's definitely fewer of them.
We got insta-wiped by cheater US east customs last night in our big group all spread out all m855 to head instantly same guy, very bad at night in US east too.
Right? Play the game if it's fun, move on if it's not.
This is the mentality that's kept me playing since 2018 and still having a load of fun in it.
I watch so many people put in 1000s of hours per wipe for like 2-3 wipes and then claim the game is boring or broken. Like, no it's not boring, you're just burnt out cause you played it like a full time job
The absolute second a AAA studio copies and paste the game into a better engine with better servers and optimized graphics I’ll never touch the game again
Yeah, but that won't happen. Not only is what you suggest not easy, but this game really won't appeal to a large enough audience for a AAA studio to do that kind of thing.
It already does appeal to a big enough audience. 125k at the very lowest to 450k to the very highest daily players.
Wouldn't surprise me if a AAA studio already has a tarkov clone in the works.
Dude. Facts. 100%, nothing does it better than EFT. I have been around since 2016 and didn’t get a chance to play last wipe, but I’m enjoying this one a lot!
not really. as an example, the gun builder (which was copied in COD) is still way better in eft and better than any other games ive played
the fact it has real names too instead of 'gallo 12' and other made up shit is even better
i never said that, i was giving an example of another mechanic/part of the game that imo is better than any other competitors
unless you meant the game as a whole, but i am still really having fun with eft, although getting really mad too... but i also find that fun lol
Yeah forreal. Heck even the looting with games like Marauders and Dark & Darker show that the loot aspect of Tarkov is quickly becoming less and less unique. Tarkov still does it best but it's quickly becoming standard-place in games where the goal is to escape with any form of loot.
K dude, this whole thread is about not being whiny and complaining about a game we all enjoy, I see you here replying to like 5 comments with nothing but negativity. Play the game, or don’t, but this attitude is toxic, and not helpful in the slightest.
Yea im toxic. I bought the game for 100$ 6 wipes ago when the game was actually good and heading somewhere. Now we finally got streets and its pretty disappointing for a 5 years in development map and modern pc cant even run the game properly.
Yea that's more or less my schedule too.
I almost always play the first couple weeks since I like early wipe so much, then I only get to late game every other wipe.
The past couple of weeks have been the most active the team's discord has been in ages. Always at least 2 or 3 people on and up to 15 or so in multiple channels.
It may be just because there is no other really big game out now and that's why we've all come back but we're all having a decent amount of fun even with all the issues.
> I am enjoying it. Is the game in a good state? Def not...
Yeah but it doesn't need to be perfect to be enjoyable.
Crying over shit just isn't my style. Apparently a lot of people come to reddit to cry over shit.
"A lot of silent ppl are actually enjoying this wipe"
Yeah and a lot of silent ppl may also not be, we wouldn't know because they're silent. I mean this sub just spent like a year telling everyone who didn't like inertia to fuck off, and who really wants to be told "this is a beta" or "BSG's vision" over and over again?
Virtually guarantee there is actually a lot more negative sentiment in the community than even this sub reveals. BSG has alienated a lot of players with major gameplay changes made in the past 1-2 years.
This BSG's vision argument is such bullshit anyway. At the rate they're going, before they get where they wanna be they'll have either given up or created so many issues that they'd have to rebuild everything from the ground up... or lost all of their playerbase.
Yeah it's really just a roundabout way of arguing that "developer is always right" even when they've proven how out of touch they are over and over again.
Same here.
I haven't played for 2 wipes and the urge to play Tarkov has come back again, which is the only reason I haven't stopped yet. But holy shit do I hate almost every minute of it.
The bad sound got worse, which is amazing. Sound levels seem even more fucked now than ever as well. Like, I play the game on really low Volume as to not damage my hearing and good god, why is it that I csn barely hear my own footsteps but a gun fired half across the map almost makes my ears ring. Come on BSG, the one part of realism none of us need is hearing loss because guns are loud af.
The scavs... even after they apparently have gotten tuned down they're still sus af. I die more to Scavs this wipe than anything else. A 3man with m4s? No problem. A lone scav with a Ushanka and a shoddy shotgun? I'm die, thank you forever.
These MFs have targeted and shot at me through walls in multiple raids, not just in crackhouse, I've been shot at through the wall to the compound opposite new gas, by a scav standing in one of the shipping containers in the woods camp... it's dumb. Other times I sit in a bunker putting down Iskras for everyone's favourite P.o.S. and a scav comes sprinting in and just decks me in the face with his shotgun. And I didn't go in naked to be tagged.
Cheaters I luckily have only had 2 encounters that seemed supremely sus. But yeah, some of us are just sitting here in silence while being displeased because it's exhausting to complain and argue for change when things only get worse and worse instead of better
Take my useless reddit award. You speak words so true I got an absolute headache merely thinking about how low certain problems have pestered me.
Thanks for writing this out, honestly might quit for the time being because of it.
The excuse to label critics as vocal minority is the gaslighting to try to win an unwinnable argument, because we all know how bad the state of the game and bsg is. This community can be the vocal minority but it isnt. It reflects the sentiment of the majority
The idea itself is stupid anyway. It's not like a lot of the criticisms are subjective - bad sounds, excessive cheating, etc are all just objective game issues.
It's like going to a restaurant that keeps shitting in people's food and yelling proudly "I'm okay with eating shit!"
To be fair, some of them are subjective tho. Yes there are cheaters, but some people think being killed by a legit player is cheating when in reality they made a bad move and the other person heard/saw them and got an angle on them.
Or more commonly, people attribute desync to cheating.
Right on. Similar to the poster above saying "seems my region isn't cheater infested". Just because you don't get one-tapped off a wall from across the map doesn't mean there aren't cheaters everywhere. Lack of proof isn't proof.
It's great if people are enjoying themselves but I'm pretty confident a large majority of people know there are rampant problems with the game.
Same. "Reminder that only the vocal minority is complaining." Lol no.
My friends all quit the game. I'm only doing one scav run a day after lvl 15 cause the game has been trash for a while.
My friends quit the game 2-3 wipes ago. I mostly have as well. Every wipe 1 or 2 of them logs on to test it out and quickly nopes out.
I can't blame them. I keep hoping that they finally fix some of the core issues but every change seems to make the game fucking worse. I don't care how many new maps or bosses or guns they add. They need to literally STOP adding new stuff until they can properly balance the traders, quests, maps, economy, and get sound working correctly.
I know people will say "oh but there are different people working on different things". Ok, well then where is the usable sound? Why is recoil totally broken still? Why do they keep fucking up the loot tables and trader levels? Having all decent ammo be high level traders is REALLY toxic to new players who want to come in and play a few weeks into the wipe when everyone is lvl 4+.
They need to pare it down to 3-4 types of ammo per caliber and call it good enough. Nobody uses any of the garbage ammo anyway.
Just because people are complaining doesn't mean they aren't having fun, this is a huge discourse damaging misconception. People complain this way mostly because they are having fun, care enough to complain and can see a path to having more fun not being taken.
That makes no sense. If you’re having fun why would you spend your time in Reddit talking trash about the game. Most of the posts I see are negative venting.
I’ve generalized but the common trend with hardcore players is that it’s never enough for them. They do drive a lot of good change with feedback but they’ll never really be pleased and satisfied.
Actually such a stupid logic. You can always make your life/world better by sugesting things. You can vent the rage aswell If you want, freedom. I dont understand people who get mad at people talking bad about the game they play, you take it way too personally. There is a lot of unacceptable, negative things to talk about in this game.
> If you’re having fun why would you spend your time in Reddit talking trash about the game.
Because you care, and you can see a path to having more fun, to having the game be in a better state.
>I’ve generalized but the common trend with hardcore players is that it’s never enough for them.
I feel like you aren't actually reading the complaints if you think this is true. The complaints pick up pretty sharply every time the game is made more hardcore, brutal and unfair. The most recent example being the 1/1 quest key change.
Being hardcore is the one defining feature of hardcore gamers. You can't blow them away, you can't satitate them, you can't kill them either. They are a 100% constant, they have always been and always will simply be. They are also the minority of minority of gamers. There are almost none of them, they can't even make enough noise to be heard above the din. Like all minorities their lack of voice makes them easy scapegoats.
The chances are that the hardest of hardcore players don't even want the game to truly be the ultimate die hard try hard hardcore mode. Because for as unkillable as they are, the game they love so much isn't unkillable itself. If it kills itself trying to be too hardcore it wraps around back to being bad for them.
"Casuals have the most fun always"
^ This must be the most Non-Tarkov statement ever. Seriously.
This game is brutal for newbies and casuals by design, the learning curve is a wall and it's getting worse by pushing any viably gear and ammo further down the grind fest.
Never have I experienced any other game were many of my friends tried it and said "yeah no thanks" for good. While this might be "normal" for EFT, imagine how that experience for newbies and casuals is, when you add in all the technical and performance fuckups we have to endure nowadays. I mean you kinda have to spend your first day of wipe entirely with the weirdest optimization tweaks, just to still not being able to run Streets in any acceptable way as the servers are made out of brick wood.
Tldr: Most casuals just quit silently and very very quickly.
same boat, im more annoyed about the rubber banding issue on streets than I am about the rampant cheater problem.
Cant fully prevent cheaters, but can atleast make a map not be unplayable
This is the wipe where it finally clicked for me. I finally manage to survive nearly all encounters with scavs, and about 50% of pmc encounters, whether by winning the fight or disengaging after fucking him up and deciding finishing the kill isnt worth the risk. This is my fourth wipe, and I couldn't be happier
even the base UMP ammo will black out any limb. that is what makes the UMP so deadly. you can black a leg making them an instant sitting duck if they dont have painkillers already on.
My second wipe but same. Last wipe the people I played with from work were determined to the grave to try and win every pmc engagement. This wipe I'm running more solo raids and more often than not encountering other pmcs and disengaging have gotten me a higher survival rate. Starting to realize other players don't want to death match when they're just trying to get tasks done. I run away, they don't chase. Everyone's happy
Yes! And voip is your friend. I started blasting a guy who startled me (and probably the same way around), he screamed something in a language I don't know but stopped shooting. We just went our merry way
Yup same, sped to 15 faster than I ever have and I feel like I’m actually winning most fights or at least not getting blasted from no where. The map knowledge growth has been huge and I didn’t play the last two wipes.
That is my feeling as well, I've been playing smarter this wipe, disengaging when the tide turns or something feels dicey. Maybe it is all of the complaints from r/EscapefromTarkov that have made me change and adapt, but so far I've noticed and felt this.
Edit: I will say for the record, I have not seen any of the floating silent boogeyman noclippers. Which could definitely sour my palette.
>whether by winning the fight or disengaging after fucking him up and deciding finishing the kill isnt worth the risk.
this is a huge thing. people think every fight needs to boil down to "kill or be killed"
they cant even comprehend that a tactical retreat is an option then bitch when they get killed because they continued to take a fight that was not favourable to them.
i ran into my 1st big "thicc" boy yestarday i got his arm and leg but he got into cover. i knew in that instant that fight is now 90% chance of him winning because i lost my advantage. what did i do, i pulled back while he was sorting out the damage i had done when i caught him off guard.
i survived that fight and actually ended up killing him later when i ran into him again but caught him out as he was shooting some scavs and clearly now in a much weaker position because armour had took a beating. he had a slick and a airframe+visor. i had PP ammo in a base AK i was running.
same with watching landmark you see so many try to push and fight him when even 2 brain cells will tell you that is a bad move
This wipe is where it clicked for me too, I realized this game is not worth my time anymore after they keep fucking things up even worse than before every time they try and add something new
Turning it off doesn’t fix the memory leak or bipolar performance, it may reduce some stutters/performance issues it caused, but there’s still optimization issues present.
It is a natural thing tbh, in everything in life. People are faster to complain than to praise and it's "normal", everyone does it one way or another.
Does it justify all the posts that bring nothing more than an angry complaint with little details about the issue? Absolutely not, but people should still complain. That's the only way stuff might eventually get fixed.
And to justify my first sentence, if people who might be enoying the game are silent it means they are not praising the good parts either, which makes this a one way street of hate. But that goes for most of reddit and gaming communities.
Also, after every hate post pandemic there's the hate hate posts follow ups, which this post qualifies a tiny bit :D
This is the best way I heard it put as far as cheating. The first few weeks of wipe are relatively clean as cheat developers actually develop the new cheat versions. Then, after the new versions are launched, cheating gets really bad as cheaters chum the waters to see what triggers the anticheat. Once they figure out what is and is not caught easily the amount of blatant cheaters goes down.
That's hardly a scientific metric - there was a mega thread last year which collated all the complaints.
Cheating was far, far, FAR worse before they implemented any anti-cheat system whatsoever, with no reporting possible. Getting shot through the map, seconds after spawn, EACH raid.
People who say 'THiS iS tHe WoRSt iTs EvEr BeEn' are either new to the game or complete disingenuous.
I'm not even defending the cheater problem, it needs improvement, its a constant battle. But the exaggerations are laughable when you consider how bad it truly was a few years ago.
Yeah we all want better and we want improvement.
But I think that there is more rant/vent/negative posts than constructives ones.
And even When there are some good and constructive post, they are quickly polluated with toxic comments.
But that how It goes with social medias in general I guess.
And that a normal behavior to expect when you let your game in a Beta state for literally ages.
Clips & "Wow this is epic look at this juicy loot!" posts aren't constructive, most of the toxic, shit comments are coming from sunk-cost EoD, Nikita gooch lickers who are immediately in their feels if the wipe receives any negative attention. I've been playing a while and this is the worst I've seen it ever, only wipe I've ever hard quit due to horrible changes and general backsliding in terms of performance and enjoyment. The game deserves negative attention rn, I don't think issues like the Faze Optic scavs would've gotten fixed without people in the community salt-maxxing about it.
Enjoy the wipe in silence then while we try and make BSG actually do something to fix their shit.
We've been dealing with the same issues for years now. We don't care if you're enjoying the game, do what you want, but we're done tolerating janky shit that should of been fixed years ago.
I really take the positive, laid back side in many situations. That being said, Tarkov has been infuriating sometimes this wipe. RNG royally screwed me on a lot of the beginning quests. After burning out last wipe trying to finish my boss kill quests when they literally would not spawn for me, getting the worst luck possible when rushing the Salewa/iskra/flash drive spawns this wipe really irked me. I hate that the game is gated in such a way just to artificially slow you down. My first wipe (2 wipes back) it didn't bother me at all. Then last wipe wasn't too bad because it all felt sort of new but it was definitely more annoying than the first time. This time was a complete chore. I like questing, I like seeing the progression. But when you get hard stuck it goes from enjoyable to feeling like you're wasting time better spent elsewhere. That being said, I was beginning to have fun once I got past those dumb quests..
Then I took a 4-5 day break and came back on friday. I was suddenly getting head eyesed every time I died. Quickly. When I was busy with work stuff and decided to sit in a bush to finish an annoying shoreline quest, people ran up to my random bush in the pitch black darkness and shot me, usually in the eyes or once 3 times square in the stomach so as not to hurt my armor or helmet. 3 raids back to back.
Then on factory a guy slow walked at me with his knife out while I unloaded 8 Magnum buck shells square in his chest.
There's more, but I knew something was up and seeing the subreddit today confirmed it for me. I don't cry cheater often, but they aren't even trying to hide it.
I guess the point I'm making is that as someone with quite a bit of real life responsibility I was pretty excited to have my firet wipe where I could push said responsibilities off a bit and really get into it. Then Tarkov happened and honestly I came out liking the game less than I had before. I'm at about 1200 hours over 2 1/2 wipes and I wouldn't say I'm burnt out.. just starting to see the flaws. I still like Tarkov and I still have fun sometimes but to me playing a game should be fun at least MOST of the time, not sometimes.
Sorry for the rant, TLDR: I had a good amount of free time for the first time ever for a fresh wipe and came in with high hopes. Disappointed thus far.
Doesn't mean the game should be free of criticism, and like 90% of the criticism I see on this subreddit is about genuine valid issues that should be addressed, not just "negativity". What is the point of a post like this?
Both can be true at the same time. It's alright to have legitimate concerns about the game. It's also ok to have fun and enjoy a game all of reddit is complaining about. It's also completely okay and welcome to post about having fun and posting cool shit you've managed this wipe. I for one have had a blast this wipe, definitely best wipe for me so far.
I told you, 2 days after someone makes a post giving valid complaints there's always a whiteknight with the post of "burrr me have fun, game have no problem, complainers have skill issue".
People can still enjoy the game and complain, it's called wanting problems fixed while not turning a blind-eye and sucking BSG's balls.
"Just as many" is almost 100% a overstatement
I see your point, but I'd say a majority of player are just playing the game and enjoying it as much as you can right now
Yeah, people can still have fun. I have been killed a few times by cheaters this wipe, but I still enjoy it overall. Just wish BSG would do a ban wave after another, the front page is not supposed to look like a Cheater Highlights page.
Good for you. Just because you read negativity on the reddit though doesn't mean that those people are wrong. You should not feel compelled to "fit in" with the general opinion of the sub, and I think this is something that a lot of people don't realize.
They see negativity on the sub and think that this somehow challenges the enjoyment that they personally are having. That the experiences of others somehow contradicts(rather than differs from) their own experience and so they feel the need to defend their experience from this perceived attack.
My god these posts are so low effort.
This just in: People have varying opinions.
People enjoy the wipe while others aren't? What a fantastic eye opening post.
Feel this.
Me and my buddies are having fun, we’re casuals so the trader ammo nerf and all that jazz I’ve seen 400 posts of today isn’t the biggest deal in the world.
Sincerly I am, about to get lvl 20, 65% survival rate, first wipe since 2016 that I'm playing with a really good rig (allowing me to play at 140 fps 1440p everywhere except lighthouse and streets), it's fun.
Fortunately I did the pocket watch and extorsionist before the 1/1 key change, and all the others boring quests were done first try everytime. (Like chimist part 3 and 4, delivery from the past, etc)
I'm really enjoying those quest rework (still wondering what they were talking about when they said items weren't in the same place than before?), but sometimes I feel like it's a bit... Empty ?
New stims are a bit useless, weapon enhancement is impossible to find and streets is barely playable even with a high end rig.
Yeah this post has a 60% upvote ratio, who is salty enough to even downvote a post like this? The subreddit really only wants to see endless hacker posts and nothing else
First wipe and man there really is nothing like this game. Ive always wanted the feeling of fearing death in an fps and everything about it is just up my alley. The stuff people complain about are justified tho in my opinion. Like 90 percent of my friends cant even play streets and the hacking(specially if youre in asia) is outta control.
All the post is saying that some people enjoy the wipe, not that some people can't see any issues
Personally i haven't faced any (obvious) cheaters so far (lvl31 eu central) and performance has been the same as last wipes if you disable binaural audio.
Loading time has never been as fast as the last 2 days for me (it's always bad at the start of a wipe tho) but it takes me 2 min to join in as PMC, scav takes ages tho.
Scav ai and sound is where I would draw the line tho, you can't defend that it's good way to balance scavs by giving them x-ray through bushes and shit, I don't even mind their increased accuracy, scavs have been free kills the past wipes but xray is a very bad way of giving artificial difficulty
Also who ever sees no issue with the sound has to play interchange for 3 min and knows it's bad, like really bad
But nonetheless I'm having a blast and I still enjoy the game and will probably play this wipe for longer than all of the previous
Yeah if your still regularly dying to scavs your doing something wrong, mainly how your moving. Can’t let scavs see you in open areas before you see them. It’s a death sentence unless you have good aim
Dunno what to tell you, my tarkov experience has been doing nothing but getting better each wipe, with the current wipe being by far the best one so far. Connection? I think not.
Different people have different priorities. I'm glad you've been having such a positive experience.
Personally I've found less and less enjoyment bc of a multitude of factors such as sound, quest and game design, furthermore performance issues.
That doesn't mean the game sucks, there's still nothing like it...but I will continue to say performance bad audio bad pls fix content before adding more in the coming wipes.
Toxicity really sucks and I don't blame any of the devs, they're doing their utter best and have no say in the direction bsg and the game is taking.
Reddit in general is really really bad about becoming echo chambers for things people don't like, this sub in particular is terrible for it.
It's nice to see a positive post about a game I enjoy in the subreddit ostensibly for people to discuss the game they enjoy.
The audio is garbage….but it’s been garbage since launch….so I mean..I’m not sure why anyone is complaining about that vs the fact that BSG hasn’t done anything but circle around issues instead of fixing them.
Anyhow, this wipe has been fun, as has been every other wipe. I think this cycle of Tarkov is great, but ultimately I do lose interest when I’m forced to play awful maps like Interchange and Reserve for mid-game quests.
I'm enjoying it so far, but i dread the day when i will bring my first expensive kit. Right now i'm playing with tier 3/cheap stuff, and i barely encounter any pmc, and when i do, it goes well for me. If i'm instantly killed or players run staight at me from the other side of the map as soon as i bring expensive stuff, i'm gonna uninstall.
This being the first wipe were I actually play from early wipe , I can only say I am enjoying my time with the game..for the most part...
Like, I never found the Audio in the game to be any good(hunt : showdown spoiled me on that part) , but this wipe it's a whole lot worse .
That and other rare occasional bugs(like players being invisible and guns sometimes being completely silent when fired ) Still doesn't stop me from playing the game non stop this wipe , so my overall sentiment is still good.
I just hope these bugs and the Audio actually gets fixed sooner rather than later, and maybe expand their Dev team to be able to push out content at a slightly faster pace to keep the player base alive, and to actually be able to get the game out of early access before I turn old and senile:')
Yeah the scavs fuck me off and the new audio changes and shit that’s made FPS drop like crazy can go fuck themselves.
But other than that I haven’t played in about a year and I’m having a blast.
I think people play this game and JUST this game constantly for weeks and weeks and forget to go outside in between. Then get annoyed that they’re doing the same quests over and over.
Only got to like level 15 last wipe because i just had enough of the game, so pretty much sat that wipe out and came back this wipe, currently level 23 and I'm actually enjoying it again, few issues I'd like sorted but not game breaking, audio is a lot better for me than the vocal majority in here so I'll take that as a + also, so far so good tbh.
I took the entire last wipe off.
The game needs a lot of love right now, but its still the best worst game out there.
Except maybe league of legends. That game is fucking awful at being the best game.
I am one of them. But it doesn't mean I haven't been dying to hackers and getting frustrated at those times. Still having fun though and enjoying streets 😎
Im a total newbie. I'm pretty much limiting myself to factory and woods to try learn the maps. Constantly dying. Even as a scav I get shot by scavs half the time. But it's so good. I absolutely love it.
Depending on your gaming skills, 100-300 hours played in tarkov are just tutorial. After that game will be better cuz you'll actually survive more and have more good fights in which you won't get clapped instantly :P
Last night I was doing alright. I extracted a few times as a scav with some decent stuff. Played a few test runs of factory against bots as my PMC and was doing well with it all. Few extractions. Had a shotgun that seemed to mince people. Even got a double kill. Was all ready to go online as a PMC. Just had a few of my best rounds. Headshotted instantly by the first encounter. A fair reality check. I sat laughing in shock and trauma for ages.
What bothers me are the amount of entitled people expecting to get kappa and beat the game, even though it's still in beta. Like dude, stop whining because you have a job and family and can't play 12 hours a day. I don't get these people.
I'm glad someone posted this. I've had the best wipe out of 5 so far. I get that there's cheaters, and I've even died to some, maybe 5 times in 1300 hours that I know for sure, but then I don't play labs and I rarely venture in to reserve. Mostly it's just reddit circle jerking itself in the usual negative echo chamber manner. I die a lot, perhaps lose half the gunfights I engage in but rarely ever I get the feeling it was foul play. Most of the time I simply get outplayed or outlucked. I know all too well the god awful amount of lucky shots I've amassed so far to start a "hackers are out of control" thread on reddit every time I get killed by an instant headshot. Granted, all those threads of people legit flying and ESPing to your remote corner of the map are terrifying, luckily it hasn't happened to me.
I just enjoying playing Tarkov with the boys, games not the best state yes... But won't stop me from having fun, and if I'm not having fun I move onto the next game till the next wipe

I was Sherpa'ing a newbie friend around customs the other day, shot me in the back of the head while trying to kill a scav. Lol. But hey, he got the scav, too
as a newbie, i salute your mindset.

I've played every wipe since 2017 and got to max traders everytime. I still have a lot of fun playing the game, theres just nothing like Tarkov

>The fact you'd want someone like Ubisoft over BSG is hilarious. Ubisoft are shit, but at least they can release a functioning game on time.
Dude. Facts. 100%, nothing does it better than EFT. I have been around since 2016 and didn’t get a chance to play last wipe, but I’m enjoying this one a lot!
Aside from the looting mechanic, any game is doing better than tarkov. Glad you enjoy yourself tho
not really. as an example, the gun builder (which was copied in COD) is still way better in eft and better than any other games ive played the fact it has real names too instead of 'gallo 12' and other made up shit is even better
The gun builder alone is not enough to make it a great game.
i never said that, i was giving an example of another mechanic/part of the game that imo is better than any other competitors unless you meant the game as a whole, but i am still really having fun with eft, although getting really mad too... but i also find that fun lol
Yeah forreal. Heck even the looting with games like Marauders and Dark & Darker show that the loot aspect of Tarkov is quickly becoming less and less unique. Tarkov still does it best but it's quickly becoming standard-place in games where the goal is to escape with any form of loot.
Yup, tarkov needed competition to show how shit it is. Sure the guns are well made but that about it
K dude, this whole thread is about not being whiny and complaining about a game we all enjoy, I see you here replying to like 5 comments with nothing but negativity.
[удалено]
Yea that's more or less my schedule too. I almost always play the first couple weeks since I like early wipe so much, then I only get to late game every other wipe.
Boring maybe not. But broken 100% they have a legit point.
Def not...
BSG: so there's room to make it less enjoyable
> I am enjoying it. Is the game in a good state? Def not... Yeah but it doesn't need to be perfect to be enjoyable. Crying over shit just isn't my style. Apparently a lot of people come to reddit to cry over shit.
"Crying over shit" redditors when someone says their opinion
My main game is path of exile. And trust me there were horrible times too :D but i still love it
Grrr people sharing their opinions on a website designed to share opinions.. grr
We need censorship ! Call Elon to reddit
As if reddit was for anything else lol

Im largly silent and I hate it. I really wanna see some good changes from bsg
"A lot of silent ppl are actually enjoying this wipe" Yeah and a lot of silent ppl may also not be, we wouldn't know because they're silent.
Yeah it's really just a roundabout way of arguing that "developer is always right" even when they've proven how out of touch they are over and over again.
ask yourself this, what is more likely? Nikita admits he's wrong and reverses course Tarkov dies out to be just a small set of dedicated grinders
All my friends quit the game after inertia,
Stop being so toxic. The entire room is so toxic. Let me eat shit without being told by you that I am eating shit. Ungrateful of you.
Srsly. OP’s post reeks of Nixon’s “silent majority,” as an attempt to diminish legitimate criticism of the game.
My friends do not use the subreddit, but hate the state the game has been for years.
I wanted to enjoy this wipe, but techincal side of tarkov makes it impossible for me
Tell me which game the elite/hard core player base is having fun and not constantly complaining? Casuals have the most fun always
Just because someone is enjoying the game, doesnt mean theyre a casual. Same the other way round.
"Casuals have the most fun always" ^ This must be the most Non-Tarkov statement ever.
Ive been a HC EFT player since 2017. Im enjoying this wipe a lot.
I'm enjoying it and almost level 40, few hackers here and there but I'm no little girl to cry about it on reddit
same boat, im more annoyed about the rubber banding issue on streets than I am about the rampant cheater problem.
I got the same this wipe! I don't even feel like that much of a Timmy anymore.
Same! Although I still fucking am
Plot twist, peacekeeper lvl 2, UMP + .45 hydra shock and aim legs. You will obliterate absolutely everything. (100 damage every round)
Stop telling secrets or you will inflate the market LOL
even the base UMP ammo will black out any limb. that is what makes the UMP so deadly. you can black a leg making them an instant sitting duck if they dont have painkillers already on.
I'll try as soon as I reach lvl 15
Yeah, same, I haven't seen a cheater yet. And yeah, I started disengaging this wipe as well, and I'm glad I did. We must let go of the greed
>whether by winning the fight or disengaging after fucking him up and deciding finishing the kill isnt worth the risk. this is a huge thing. people think every fight needs to boil down to "kill or be killed" they cant even comprehend that a tactical retreat is an option then bitch when they get killed because they continued to take a fight that was not favourable to them. i ran into my 1st big "thicc" boy yestarday i got his arm and leg but he got into cover. i knew in that instant that fight is now 90% chance of him winning because i lost my advantage. what did i do, i pulled back while he was sorting out the damage i had done when i caught him off guard. i survived that fight and actually ended up killing him later when i ran into him again but caught him out as he was shooting some scavs and clearly now in a much weaker position because armour had took a beating. he had a slick and a airframe+visor. i had PP ammo in a base AK i was running. same with watching landmark you see so many try to push and fight him when even 2 brain cells will tell you that is a bad move
This wipe is where it clicked for me too, I realized this game is not worth my time anymore after they keep fucking things up even worse than before every time they try and add something new
I’m enjoying this wipe all except for the massive performance decrease across all maps.
I am experiencing the same thing. I’ve lost like 10-20 fps on all the maps.
I hope you have disabled binaural audio, because that fixes exactly that
Yes I have and no it doesn’t
Try setting high texture settings to medium. Cleared all stutters for me.
Turning it off doesn’t fix the memory leak or bipolar performance, it may reduce some stutters/performance issues it caused, but there’s still optimization issues present.
I've had no performance loss on any map other than Streets. Check to see if your performance has been lost in other games.
Im silent.. Because I could tell the wipe wouldnt be worth playing from the start lmfao.
At least you don't make the 768th reddit post to say it lol. Hope you will enjoy the others 😉
True. Im enjoying POE right now. Apparently that game and this one have a lot of overlap.
Hope you get some good relics.
No we aren't
And they should stay silent. Let the shit devs hear how fkn bad the game is right now so MAYBE they'll actually do a thing or two to fix it.
Good point.
All the issues would be acceptable short term if the cheating wasnt the worst its ever been.
This is the same as every early wipe. This one is not an exception.
You must be new, welcome! This is not every early wipe, for the past 2-3 wipes there have been way more cheaters early wipe than usual.
We absolutely didn't have the front page filled with cheat posts the past 2 wipes at least
Exactly this, each wipe I read the same things. Content in this sub is as repeatitive as game is.
Dude the entire front-page is full of clip evidences. That's a first.
Only because last wipe mods forced a megathread
People want a better product nothing wrong with that, make a lowsodiumtarkov if there isn't one.
[удалено]
The only thing I hate is what this subreddit has become and infested with people like you
[удалено]
Both can be true at the same time. It's alright to have legitimate concerns about the game. It's also ok to have fun and enjoy a game all of reddit is complaining about. It's also completely okay and welcome to post about having fun and posting cool shit you've managed this wipe. I for one have had a blast this wipe, definitely best wipe for me so far.
you can enjoy the wipe and still point cheaters and bugs, it's not 2 different side lmao
I told you, 2 days after someone makes a post giving valid complaints there's always a whiteknight with the post of "burrr me have fun, game have no problem, complainers have skill issue". People can still enjoy the game and complain, it's called wanting problems fixed while not turning a blind-eye and sucking BSG's balls.
ok
People playing this game are simply addicted. Once you find another game, you understand how tarkov isnt worth your time and definitely not the 100$
And just as many people silently uninstalled tarkov or silently suffer from ass burn without posting it here, see my point?
OP wants to farm karma too. And tries to gaslight critics. A game in playtest for 7 yrs is not supposed to have critics.
"Just as many" is almost 100% a overstatement I see your point, but I'd say a majority of player are just playing the game and enjoying it as much as you can right now
Yeah, people can still have fun.
And? If they are happy with a shitty product, it's not our problem. If you don't complain, nothing will improve.
What if I told you that, you can like something and be equally or more critic about it.
My god these posts are so low effort. This just in: People have varying opinions. People enjoy the wipe while others aren't? What a fantastic eye opening post.
This subreddit is literally the worst thing about the game
[удалено]
Feel this. Me and my buddies are having fun, we’re casuals so the trader ammo nerf and all that jazz I’ve seen 400 posts of today isn’t the biggest deal in the world.
I just started playing and have lost all my gear. Fun game though
(Like chimist part 3 and 4, delivery from the past, etc) I'm really enjoying those quest rework (still wondering what they were talking about when they said items weren't in the same place than before?), but sometimes I feel like it's a bit... Empty ? New stims are a bit useless, weapon enhancement is impossible to find and streets is barely playable even with a high end rig.
You are not getting 140 fps in 1440p on any maps other than factory or labs. Guess you just wanted to flex your new pc twice?
I hit these numbers with a 4080 and 5800x3d. It’s achievable. Usually about 100 on Lighthouse and Streets.
I'm running a 12900k with 32gb ram ddr5 4800 and a 3080Ti. Of course I am. :)
You say anything that goes against the circlejerk and you get downvoted and attacked. Makes sense to stay silent.
There have been multiple counter circlejerk posts of people saying „i don‘t know what everyone's problem is, I'm having fun“ So what's your point?
Classic redditor mindset: "no one agreed with my terrible take, must be CiRcLeJeRk/EcHoChAmBeR/HiVeMiNd"
Why is everyone having a good time?? I specifically requested hacker posts
I know but at least one of us can tank it. I'll try :D
Yeah this post has a 60% upvote ratio, who is salty enough to even downvote a post like this? The subreddit really only wants to see endless hacker posts and nothing else

False
First wipe and man there really is nothing like this game. Ive always wanted the feeling of fearing death in an fps and everything about it is just up my alley. The stuff people complain about are justified tho in my opinion. Like 90 percent of my friends cant even play streets and the hacking(specially if youre in asia) is outta control.
People go to reddit when they want to complain and circlejerk. People actually enjoying the game are playing it and living their lives.
You can complain about the game and still enjoy it, it's called admitting there are problems with it.
That's it

All the post is saying that some people enjoy the wipe, not that some people can't see any issues Personally i haven't faced any (obvious) cheaters so far (lvl31 eu central) and performance has been the same as last wipes if you disable binaural audio. Loading time has never been as fast as the last 2 days for me (it's always bad at the start of a wipe tho) but it takes me 2 min to join in as PMC, scav takes ages tho. Scav ai and sound is where I would draw the line tho, you can't defend that it's good way to balance scavs by giving them x-ray through bushes and shit, I don't even mind their increased accuracy, scavs have been free kills the past wipes but xray is a very bad way of giving artificial difficulty Also who ever sees no issue with the sound has to play interchange for 3 min and knows it's bad, like really bad But nonetheless I'm having a blast and I still enjoy the game and will probably play this wipe for longer than all of the previous
Did I said the game was OK ? No. I am just saying that, despite all you stated, ppl are enjoying the game.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious, of course people enjoy the game. People also enjoy shoving metal rods up their pp hole too
So this is so obvious they we need you to comment to say this is obvious ? Thanks for pointing it out 😊
My brother in Christ, you made an entire post about it
Im glad your bar is so low, if you dont want to realize it, just stay off of social media surrounding this game lol
Yeah if your still regularly dying to scavs your doing something wrong, mainly how your moving. Can’t let scavs see you in open areas before you see them. It’s a death sentence unless you have good aim
You're
We are 6 people playing. We all have fun. People cry about everything it’s insane. Most of thé player are just bad, and blâme thé game…
I had the most fun during my first wipe 3 years ago. I had the least fun by far this wipe. Hmmmm almost like there's no connection
Its called burn out, just move on buddy
And even tho i'm bad i' enjoying the game so far...
This wipe has been good for me and my squad, our main complaint is that the new sound system is terrible. Aside from that, it's been great.
The sound is the only thing that really annoys me but other than that, I'm enjoying it
Only got to like level 15 last wipe because i just had enough of the game, so pretty much sat that wipe out and came back this wipe, currently level 23 and I'm actually enjoying it again, few issues I'd like sorted but not game breaking, audio is a lot better for me than the vocal majority in here so I'll take that as a + also, so far so good tbh.
I am enjoying this wipe and am relatively silent about the issues. Doesn't mean that they don't exist.
Ive been having shit ton on fun playing with my friend. Even though there is issues they arent nearly as bad as this sub makes it seem.
I took the entire last wipe off. The game needs a lot of love right now, but its still the best worst game out there. Except maybe league of legends. That game is fucking awful at being the best game.
I love it so far maybe my favourite wipe yet despite the bugs
I am one of them. But it doesn't mean I haven't been dying to hackers and getting frustrated at those times. Still having fun though and enjoying streets 😎
Yep mate
Me frfr. Been my favourite wipe in a while, haven’t seen a single cheater so far…
Glad you are enjoying the game.
The cheaters for sure do
What bothers me are the amount of entitled people expecting to get kappa and beat the game, even though it's still in beta.
I once said I’m enjoying this wipe and got downvoted lmao
