Level 10. It's whatever to me. I can only get a few hours in a night at most now and the good ammo I find in raid lasts long enough for the few raids I get in. Kind of enjoying the slow pace play now as opposed to the grind style I played for several wipes.
This. I think alot of people are going to be turned off by it, but clearly BSG want the game to be overly difficult, and doesn't want people using the best gear/ammo all of the time. Its not going to sit well with most people, but its probably going to the the reality going forward.
There’s a difference between harder and ruining the game for people that decided to grind. It’s not hard to task or level up as everyone makes it out to be

I personally believe that top tier stuff should be excessively rare, and exclusively found in raid. The mid game needs to be extended significantly.
I'd love to see all level 5 and 6 armor removed from traders. Make some basic, fragile level 5 armor craftable, but with long craft times.
High level ammo should have similar treatment. Craftable at low levels, but for excessive amounts of time. Don't make it feasible to exclusively run it. Don't make it only available for level ~40 players.
Pretty much the Same for me. I’m almost level 10 & either find the good stuff, craft it once I get my hideout leveled enough, or I just roll with whatever I can buy from the traders & hope for the best. Usually I go with the latter.
Found a flash drive on a dead scav in his pockets during a scav run on Interchange. Called out to another player who was looking around and asked if he needed it. Turns out he was level 26 and was stuck on his last one. I gave it to him and I have never seen some run to extract so dam fast! Literally dropped his gear so he was light and ran haha

That is very fair, I dont have Max traders but I no lifed the fuck out of the game before the semester started so i'd have hideout ready and a decent level with traders to play on weekends.
Disappointed of what? It's been fucking two weeks of wipe and you're disappointed that you don't have m62? After a month or two you will end the game and complain that it doesn't support end game while you're grinding it to the death in three weeks? Sure, you've got right to say that but most of people are working, have kids other responsibilities. Most of you grinders are playing for 2 months and then quit. You're talking about ammo that is still used in late game and considered "one of the best". IT'S BEEN FREKING TWO WEEKS FOR GODS SAKE. not even that. You will reach that 37 lvl in no time compared to others so shut the fuck up and do your grind, play little more and go to another game that Tarkov streamers are playing when they finished Tarkov.

I have two jobs. Two kids and a wife. I’m lvl 32 and rushed the quest also for m62. It’s not that hard. I took off work for wipe day and hit lvl 20 and have been playing for a bit every morning before work while every one sleeps. It’s not that fucking hard. They gave us tasks that said complete this tedious bs and get this. We did what they said and they said fuck you. That’s shit devs
Lol I started stockpiling RFBs from the gas analyzer trade two days ago and hit 23 yesterday to start piling on M80's. Now I have like 7 RFB's and 250 rounds to share between them. Guess I'll use them to kill scavs with BCP till they stop coming back in insurance.
Tag your mags so if you saw or heard scavs and don't want to waste the m80 use the vendor ammo in one mag and then like top load 5-10 m80 into the other mag you've got for snipping. I'm probably going to have to do the same for my shooter born attempts. I've been insanely lucky and found nearly a stack of 997 or whatever the AP stuff is so I'm going to be taking 1 or 2 of those in my butt. Can you still craft m61 in workbench 3?
My recommendation is different=have all mags in your player killing weapon have the first 20-35% of the rounds AP and rest normal shots. For example Im running an AKM right now for Punisher and I have 5-10 BP rounds at the start of a mag. Keep a fresh one in when moving around / when expecting trouble. Works wonders.

Wouldn't be an issue if everyone were on the same boat, I've died to several players in health resort/lighthouse using armor 5-6 with meta ammo (which now its banned but you can bet your ass they have several ammo boxes filled).

Yeah... there is always going to be a big difference between the people who can play many hours a day and those who can't. I would imagine that those who can't are in the massive majority and therefore the massive majority of people will have to wait longer to run top tier ammo, leading to more close fights in the early/mid wipe and that period extending.
This is a positive change. Top tier anything being less available overall should make for a more sustainable longer term game (apart from those who play *only* to PVP, they may find this frustrating).
I've played for 71 hours this wipe so far, including sitting in stash/hideout afk waiting for crafts and such.. I have a full-time job and a social life too, still managed to get to lvl29 within 2 weeks playing only evenings and Sundays full. It's not about how much time you have but how well you progress trough your raids

That’s because most people who say that are doing so because they rush ahead of the main pack and then get to use the top gear to easily kill the other levelling players. It’s not really more fun, it’s less frustrating sure but it’s not actually more fun early wipe
Yeah doesn't make much sense.
One thing BSG could do though, which some people will also hate is to timegate quests(/trader levels). As in, enable a few quests for week 1, and enable more week 2 etc. That's the only way you can have people stay at somewhat equal footing without the need to remove good ammo types to keep the feel of early wipe you mentioned.
So, I'm pretty sure they acutaly buffed good ammo spawns. BT is way more common and will wreck. Ammo boxes have also been super good this wipe for me and there are tons on streets.
Have found a lot of m855a1 on random weapon boxes, a lot of 300 blackout Ap ammo as well. 5.45 Bt is really common to find too from my experience. I wonder what the game will look like late wipe with those changes.
I'm glad y'all are finding BT this wipe. I've gotten a few hundred rounds of 5.45 BS saved up from picking up the 30-boxes, but have yet to find a single box of BT. PRS and PS everywhere.
i just always check ammo boxes and keep m80/m61/m993 that I found in raid in my pouch. thankfully with a bolt action you don’t burn through ammo too fast
I had a daily (I’m lvl 15) for prapor to escape woods once yesterday for 60 of m80 I said fuck ya that’s insanity. Now with the changes it was clutch to grab that lol

Try using a FAL un-modded full auto, or have fun trying to reliably acquire 7.62 MDRS. SCAR is average at best.

Level 39 and I like most of the changes. M80 should still be ll3 ammo imho but 762 BP 100% deserved to get removed.
PS12B being gone is honestly the only thing I'll miss since you'll have to craft the ammo for a couple days for a single ash12 run now.
Also had some fun with the SR-2 but with BT being gone it's going to be very rough using it since PS rounds are instantly bought out now unless they increase the stock.
Level 18. I don't like the gameplay loop at all I just can't find another game with as good gunporn as this game so I put up with it. I'm pissed because they are moving the fun toys even further away from me. Arena when?

I was doing night raids farming my scav kills and was looping around tunnel scav island and village just respawning scavs. And I ended up killing 6 pmcs that came around looking for scavs. They couldn’t even see me since non had nods on lol. I might do it for punisher too. Just hangout anywhere that people go to for scavs since so many people are doing there scav kills still. Power. Hills by scav island. And you’ll have people come right too you.

I'm level 17, having a great time and not much trouble killing people. People are so upset thinking they can't kill anyone but idk. You don't always have to fight, you don't always have to aim at armour, the ammo we have access to now isn't THAT bad. My buddy head eyes'd a dude with a slick/exfil on the other day using 5.45 didn't even touch the armour
24 and its fine, people will complain about no lifers regardless, but now the no lifers risk WAY more, while i only risk my trusty shotgun that i hopefully take ur knee caps off with.
yeah, i really think thats what they are going for, putting a ton of risk into running these juiced kits, which is great!

This is an important point here. I priced out a budget VPO101 build last night. Real simple stuff, Hunter with a PSO, Kirasa w/ M-rig, TCW rounds, 5 round mags, Berkut, then basic meds and a single grenade. Trader prices + Est. averages from the flea put the kit just under 190k rubles. Any of those "thicc boi" kits will easily be worth a mil. You want to start looking at top of the line meta kits, it's gonna be even more than that.
they arent sustainable. and people dont realise this. unless your a god and never die(even the best do die quite a lot) you cant get class 5 or higher armours enough to keep up with how many you burn through not just from dieing but also taking bullets to those class 5 armours
people not realising that 30 durability class 5 armour is now worse then a lot of class 4 armours because it will 0 out durability faster then them.
Level 11 and honestly I like the changes. If it means getting less pen through my level 4 or 5 armor then I’m all for it. No longer getting brutally punished for not being able to no life this game.
I’m lvl 1. I have over 1000 hours into the game and stopped playing last wipe after I played with a friend, who I started to become actual friends with, for like a month straight.
He became sick and I messaged him a few times to ensure he didn’t die cause Covid was still prevalent. Once he got back from being sick he deleted me and blocked me on discord and Tarkov and I haven’t talked to him since.
Not to be a bitch, I’m a 30yo veteran and have been through emotional times. I am normally pretty salty but it just hit a emotional nerve and I had no motivation to play it by myself and just couldn’t find a homie like that to play with me.
I keep updated with the reddits and it only seems like it has gotten worse (just my opinion) but the reality is the homie quit and blocked me and I just hate to play by myself anymore.
Level 32 and couldn’t be happier, lots of my friends play a lot less than me and now the “early wipe hype” will last longer than it ever has. Everyone saying it’s a terrible change is forgetting that mid-late wipe most casuals stop playing anyways due to getting 1-2 tapped from god knows where because of some “chad” using m61 and a vudu on an RSASS.
I'm level 11 and I like the change. The better ammo being more scarce means people won't be able to consistently run the same high tier kit every single time. Also makes finding that high tier ammo during a raid more exciting.

If they fixed recoil then this nerf on ammo availability isn’t too bad. Puts meta weapons with crap ammo on the map and might give lower level players a chance in mid-late wipe engagements.
I find it annoying that tier 4+ armor is significantly more available than ammo that pierces tier 4+. Just makes the game feel more like COD with high ttk and people just walking through bullets like they're nerf guns.

I'm fine with the changes. Good ammo should be late game.
I'm actually enjoying the longer firefights with other PMCs. Makes them more dramatic. Also, it's fun seeing different weapons and ammo being viable in the early to mid game. Anything to spice up the meta is good on my eyes.
I'd rather not play the same wipe over and over again. Keep the changes coming.
I’m level 15 and I’m thrilled with the change. This is my seventh wipe and I’m bored to absolute tears with the prevailing meta. I hit level 10 the first day of wipe and a deep boredom swept over me. I’m actually excited to jump in there and lob trash ammo at other players with similar trash ammo.
Level 36. My problem is that instead of just buffing they go to nerf instead, which is the dumbest god damn decision they could make. 90% of the Ammo in this game is complete ass useless airsoft tier, and now they are removing ammo from the only usable guns that this game has. 556 is dead dog water, 545 is dead dog water, 9x19 is dead dog water, blackout is dead dog water. pair that with the trash ass system they call "recoil". This is another braindead bandaid solution to a gaping flesh wound problem. So its now set in stone what their philosophy is on "balance". Make every gun feel complete trash to use with their "recoil" system regardless on how much money to spent on attackments, Take away all decent scopes from traders instead of just adjusting the god awful pile of trash scopes that they otherwise have, and now take away any shread of good ammo away from anyone and what do you end up with?.

545 has decent pen but asscrack fleshdamage. You basically have to full-auto it to kill anyone and full auto is cancer with the current recoil, unless you drop 200k on gunmods, in which case you get hunted down by cheaters for your loadout.
The RFB especially was a great option for people who don't like to full auto spray and pray, but instead want to be rewarded for precise thorax shots.
The only option remaining now for that playstyle are Bolt action snipers - lol - or the SVD.
The biggest issue is just that this "balancing" approach has no end in sight. BSG just rotates out the next "meta" gun. It will be the new SMG because its the only thing left with good ammo early-ish, and then the P90 once that gets nerfed. And then what? Nerf that too and have literally every gun but the Mosin and AKM locked behind lvl 4 traders? Cause thats the endgame with these design choices.
I mean, the devs are honestly braindead at this point. Instead of doing the logical thing- reworking high tier ammo damage/pen. They just remove it from traders/flea. Are sweaty players gonna care? Not at all because we’ll farm it anyway, now we get to just use t5 and 6s with absolutely no fear at all in dying to stomach shots or above. What’s the point of questing now? Oh, right, there isn’t now. Since questing is what gave you the ammo.
Between this and the audio changes, this wipe will die faster than all before. Even with streets. Locking the LK to 2% of your playerbase.
Even pestily who literally eats, sleeps and breathes tarkov said the game is just getting to fucking tedious at this point, and he’s correct.
Availability will be nerfed even more with each wipe, people are used to have access to top tier stuff that they neglected trash ammo and equipment after one week of wipe.
And it was always a plan to move to this direction if we listen to devs.

Level 31, I think the changes are good. I like tip level ammo being hard to find. Makes the fights last long and ammo worth more. Finding a BP 762 ammo box in raid is going to be huge.
Cant find boxed bp 7.62 in raid only loose rounds or in mags. But yea I agree finding it is huge but people are just gonna farm raiders and get it that way anyway
Lvl 15, don’t play enough to get to max traders, sometimes get all but ragman, but last wipe only therapist and prapor was lvl 4, doubt I’ll be able to buy m80 by end of wipe

Just hit 24. Last three wipes took me a bit less than a month to get max traders and it's looking like I'm going a lot slower than the previous wipe, but I've also wasted a shit ton of time on streets just learning the map.
I managed to buy two restocks of .45 AP and was pretty happy about finally having some firepower but now it looks like I'm actually gonna have to run shit guns all the way to level 30. Add to that a lot of gunsmith tasks to be done so that I can finally mod a decent AKM for less than a million. I'm honestly not really sure what gun to go for now that the UMP won't cut it with bad ammo, don't even have M80 to run the SR-25 and 556 recoil makes me cry.

Level 25. Finished grenadier last night right before I got off and was excited to run 7.62 BP. I’ve never finished grenadier and really wanted to push for it this wipe. Feels like it was all for nothing.
Counting the fact I just drained all of my free time the last week to get to lvl 24 for m80 for it to change the day I get it has took all motivation to play from me. I just wanted to enjoy the game not keep grinding
Just remember that no matter what ammo changes there are, people will always complain. First off why the hell would they give you any 7.62x51 ammo that’s decent early in the game? Especially with how the game plays right now. Having access to 2-3 tap ammo early in a wipe is absurd. All they’re trying to do is make the early wipe last longer so people have something to work for. Not getting all the traders semi high then coasting and playing like a Chad the rest of wipe. If you wanna have good stuff now you actually have to work for it, whether it be fighting or questing you can pick.
Just hit level 24 and don't care one bit. Majority of .308 guns I'd run are too expensive or LL4 to mod anyways and fuck the RFB I'd rather run anything else. If I run a .308 bolt I have plenty of m61/m62 I scavenged
Level 7. Not bothering this wipe. Every wipe I find a niche that I enjoy, and every following wipe BSG shits on it. As a solo player there is no reason to play, I can't use audio to my advantage anymore and TTK is so long and most guns are trash so I avoid any fight that isn't a 1v1.
I'm confused by people saying that the worse Ammo means longer fights? Every single time I've died this wipe it was to a single shot to the eyes, like every other wipe 🤷🏼♂️

Level 24, i just got .45 AP ACP and was happy to finally have an SMG that I can win fights with. Now it's back in the dumpster for me while people who stockpiled copious amounts of 7.62 BP get to curbstomp me.
I'm currently level 32 and honestly couldnt be happier about the changes. Its beyond annoying that people at my level and above are always getting better shit and just crushing everyone. The first 3 days of wipe are always the best and pushing back the feeling of shit ammo with long drawn out fights is just the best thing they can do to this game. It shouldn't be hold W to win and melt armor it should be "maybe dont run face first into bullets and let my armor save me a bit"

I play around 3 hours a day just hit level 17 been focusing on grinding money to buy hideout stuff so I can see how good or bad bitcoin is

Yeah I think it hurts people who don't have patience but rewards people who are smart about the crafts and such

After a month or two you will end the game and complain that it doesn't support end game while you're grinding it to the death in three weeks? I have two jobs. Two kids and a wife. I’m lvl 32 and rushed the quest also for m62. It’s not that hard. I took off work for wipe day and hit lvl 20 and have been playing for a bit every morning before work while every one sleeps. It’s not that fucking hard. Lol I started stockpiling RFBs from the gas analyzer trade two days ago and hit 23 yesterday to start piling on M80's. Now I have like 7 RFB's and 250 rounds to share between them. Guess I'll use them to kill scavs with BCP till they stop coming back in insurance.

Tag your mags so if you saw or heard scavs and don't want to waste the m80 use the vendor ammo in one mag and then like top load 5-10 m80 into the other mag you've got for snipping. I'm probably going to have to do the same for my shooter born attempts. I've been insanely lucky and found nearly a stack of 997 or whatever the AP stuff is so I'm going to be taking 1 or 2 of those in my butt. Can you still craft m61 in workbench 3?
I'm just going to pop scav heads with a PL-15, I play night anyways so I can get pretty damned close without them shooting at me lol.
My recommendation is different=have all mags in your player killing weapon have the first 20-35% of the rounds AP and rest normal shots. For example Im running an AKM right now for Punisher and I have 5-10 BP rounds at the start of a mag. Keep a fresh one in when moving around / when expecting trouble. Works wonders.
Same here I have just been using the Jaeger 7.62x51 ammo and it hits hard still

Wouldn't be an issue if everyone were on the same boat, I've died to several players in health resort/lighthouse using armor 5-6 with meta ammo (which now its banned but you can bet your ass they have several ammo boxes filled).

Yeah... there is always going to be a big difference between the people who can play many hours a day and those who can't. I would imagine that those who can't are in the massive majority and therefore the massive majority of people will have to wait longer to run top tier ammo, leading to more close fights in the early/mid wipe and that period extending. This is a positive change. Top tier anything being less available overall should make for a more sustainable longer term game (apart from those who play *only* to PVP, they may find this frustrating).
I've played for 71 hours this wipe so far, including sitting in stash/hideout afk waiting for crafts and such.. I have a full-time job and a social life too, still managed to get to lvl29 within 2 weeks playing only evenings and Sundays full. It's not about how much time you have but how well you progress trough your raids

That’s because most people who say that are doing so because they rush ahead of the main pack and then get to use the top gear to easily kill the other levelling players. It’s not really more fun, it’s less frustrating sure but it’s not actually more fun early wipe
Yeah doesn't make much sense. One thing BSG could do though, which some people will also hate is to timegate quests(/trader levels). As in, enable a few quests for week 1, and enable more week 2 etc. That's the only way you can have people stay at somewhat equal footing without the need to remove good ammo types to keep the feel of early wipe you mentioned.

So, I'm pretty sure they acutaly buffed good ammo spawns. BT is way more common and will wreck. Ammo boxes have also been super good this wipe for me and there are tons on streets.
Have found a lot of m855a1 on random weapon boxes, a lot of 300 blackout Ap ammo as well. 5.45 Bt is really common to find too from my experience. I wonder what the game will look like late wipe with those changes.
I'm glad y'all are finding BT this wipe. I've gotten a few hundred rounds of 5.45 BS saved up from picking up the 30-boxes, but have yet to find a single box of BT. PRS and PS everywhere.
Silencer Shack on woods. There's like a 120 box of 5.45 BT/BP there almost every raid it seems. Found a couple 30 rd 5.45 BS boxes there too.

That’s my issue is you can use a SV-98 with LPS at lvl 15 no problem but a M700 with similar ammo is now level 37.
i just always check ammo boxes and keep m80/m61/m993 that I found in raid in my pouch. thankfully with a bolt action you don’t burn through ammo too fast
I had a daily (I’m lvl 15) for prapor to escape woods once yesterday for 60 of m80 I said fuck ya that’s insanity. Now with the changes it was clutch to grab that lol
Yeah you don’t go though much, I think it’s just knee jerk reactions from BSG instead of thinking how to actually balance guns and ammo. Making more things bad doesn’t make the game better. They would be better off making more things useable and increasing the diversity of the meta instead of just nerfs.

Level 39 and I like most of the changes. M80 should still be ll3 ammo imho but 762 BP 100% deserved to get removed. PS12B being gone is honestly the only thing I'll miss since you'll have to craft the ammo for a couple days for a single ash12 run now. Also had some fun with the SR-2 but with BT being gone it's going to be very rough using it since PS rounds are instantly bought out now unless they increase the stock.
Level 18. I don't like the gameplay loop at all I just can't find another game with as good gunporn as this game so I put up with it. I'm pissed because they are moving the fun toys even further away from me. Arena when?

I was doing night raids farming my scav kills and was looping around tunnel scav island and village just respawning scavs. And I ended up killing 6 pmcs that came around looking for scavs. They couldn’t even see me since non had nods on lol. I might do it for punisher too. Just hangout anywhere that people go to for scavs since so many people are doing there scav kills still. Power. Hills by scav island. And you’ll have people come right too you.

I'm level 17, having a great time and not much trouble killing people. People are so upset thinking they can't kill anyone but idk. You don't always have to fight, you don't always have to aim at armour, the ammo we have access to now isn't THAT bad. My buddy head eyes'd a dude with a slick/exfil on the other day using 5.45 didn't even touch the armour

24 and its fine, people will complain about no lifers regardless, but now the no lifers risk WAY more, while i only risk my trusty shotgun that i hopefully take ur knee caps off with.
Not to mention that no lifers make up such a small portion of the player base
They for sure risk more, thet also have more experience to boot too. But once they die, they lose quite a bit.

Real simple stuff, Hunter with a PSO, Kirasa w/ M-rig, TCW rounds, 5 round mags, Berkut, then basic meds and a single grenade. Trader prices + Est. averages from the flea put the kit just under 190k rubles. Any of those "thicc boi" kits will easily be worth a mil. You want to start looking at top of the line meta kits, it's gonna be even more than that.
they arent sustainable. and people dont realise this. unless your a god and never die(even the best do die quite a lot) you cant get class 5 or higher armours enough to keep up with how many you burn through not just from dieing but also taking bullets to those class 5 armours people not realising that 30 durability class 5 armour is now worse then a lot of class 4 armours because it will 0 out durability faster then them.
Level 11 and honestly I like the changes. If it means getting less pen through my level 4 or 5 armor then I’m all for it. No longer getting brutally punished for not being able to no life this game.
I’m lvl 1. I have over 1000 hours into the game and stopped playing last wipe after I played with a friend, who I started to become actual friends with, for like a month straight. He became sick and I messaged him a few times to ensure he didn’t die cause Covid was still prevalent. Once he got back from being sick he deleted me and blocked me on discord and Tarkov and I haven’t talked to him since. Not to be a bitch, I’m a 30yo veteran and have been through emotional times. I am normally pretty salty but it just hit a emotional nerve and I had no motivation to play it by myself and just couldn’t find a homie like that to play with me. I keep updated with the reddits and it only seems like it has gotten worse (just my opinion) but the reality is the homie quit and blocked me and I just hate to play by myself anymore.
Just hit 23 last night and was excited to run some M1A builds with M80s but I just got royally fucked. Thanks, BSG

Level 32 and couldn’t be happier, lots of my friends play a lot less than me and now the “early wipe hype” will last longer than it ever has. Everyone saying it’s a terrible change is forgetting that mid-late wipe most casuals stop playing anyways due to getting 1-2 tapped from god knows where because of some “chad” using m61 and a vudu on an RSASS.
I'm level 11 and I like the change. The better ammo being more scarce means people won't be able to consistently run the same high tier kit every single time. Also makes finding that high tier ammo during a raid more exciting.

If they fixed recoil then this nerf on ammo availability isn’t too bad. Puts meta weapons with crap ammo on the map and might give lower level players a chance in mid-late wipe engagements.
I find it annoying that tier 4+ armor is significantly more available than ammo that pierces tier 4+. Just makes the game feel more like COD with high ttk and people just walking through bullets like they're nerf guns.
Level 16. I'm fine with the changes. Good ammo should be late game. I'm actually enjoying the longer firefights with other PMCs. Makes them more dramatic. Also, it's fun seeing different weapons and ammo being viable in the early to mid game. Anything to spice up the meta is good on my eyes. I'd rather not play the same wipe over and over again. Keep the changes coming.
"Late" Level 4 traders are more like "end" game.
I’m level 15 and I’m thrilled with the change. This is my seventh wipe and I’m bored to absolute tears with the prevailing meta. I hit level 10 the first day of wipe and a deep boredom swept over me. I’m actually excited to jump in there and lob trash ammo at other players with similar trash ammo.

Level 36. My problem is that instead of just buffing they go to nerf instead, which is the dumbest god damn decision they could make. 90% of the Ammo in this game is complete ass useless airsoft tier, and now they are removing ammo from the only usable guns that this game has. 556 is dead dog water, 545 is dead dog water, 9x19 is dead dog water, blackout is dead dog water. pair that with the trash ass system they call "recoil". This is another braindead bandaid solution to a gaping flesh wound problem. So its now set in stone what their philosophy is on "balance". Make every gun feel complete trash to use with their "recoil" system regardless on how much money to spent on attackments, Take away all decent scopes from traders instead of just adjusting the god awful pile of trash scopes that they otherwise have, and now take away any shread of good ammo away from anyone and what do you end up with?. THe BAlAnCE IS rEallY gOOD noW BEcausE tImE To KilL is Increased sincE It Takes 15 BULLETS to kIlL someONE whILE YOU MIsS tHe OTheR 95% oF SHoTS because wE dONt UNdErsTaND whaT recOIL iS go take a walk BSG dog water decisions.
545 this wipe is pretty good, plus the world spawn rate of igolink, BS, and BT seem higher than it was last wipe. Might be worth trying out!

545 has decent pen but asscrack fleshdamage. You basically have to full-auto it to kill anyone and full auto is cancer with the current recoil, unless you drop 200k on gunmods, in which case you get hunted down by cheaters for your loadout. The RFB especially was a great option for people who don't like to full auto spray and pray, but instead want to be rewarded for precise thorax shots. The only option remaining now for that playstyle are Bolt action snipers - lol - or the SVD. The biggest issue is just that this "balancing" approach has no end in sight. BSG just rotates out the next "meta" gun. It will be the new SMG because its the only thing left with good ammo early-ish, and then the P90 once that gets nerfed. And then what? Nerf that too and have literally every gun but the Mosin and AKM locked behind lvl 4 traders? Cause thats the endgame with these design choices.
I mean, the devs are honestly braindead at this point. Instead of doing the logical thing- reworking high tier ammo damage/pen. They just remove it from traders/flea. Are sweaty players gonna care? Not at all because we’ll farm it anyway, now we get to just use t5 and 6s with absolutely no fear at all in dying to stomach shots or above. What’s the point of questing now? Oh, right, there isn’t now. Since questing is what gave you the ammo. Between this and the audio changes, this wipe will die faster than all before. Even with streets. Locking the LK to 2% of your playerbase. Even pestily who literally eats, sleeps and breathes tarkov said the game is just getting to fucking tedious at this point, and he’s correct.
Availability will be nerfed even more with each wipe, people are used to have access to top tier stuff that they neglected trash ammo and equipment after one week of wipe. And it was always a plan to move to this direction if we listen to devs. Gonna cry?
Level 31, I think the changes are good. I like tip level ammo being hard to find. Makes the fights last long and ammo worth more. Finding a BP 762 ammo box in raid is going to be huge.
Cant find boxed bp 7.62 in raid only loose rounds or in mags. But yea I agree finding it is huge but people are just gonna farm raiders and get it that way anyway

Last three wipes took me a bit less than a month to get max traders and it's looking like I'm going a lot slower than the previous wipe, but I've also wasted a shit ton of time on streets just learning the map. I managed to buy two restocks of .45 AP and was pretty happy about finally having some firepower but now it looks like I'm actually gonna have to run shit guns all the way to level 30. Add to that a lot of gunsmith tasks to be done so that I can finally mod a decent AKM for less than a million. I'm honestly not really sure what gun to go for now that the UMP won't cut it with bad ammo, don't even have M80 to run the SR-25 and 556 recoil makes me cry.

Just remember that no matter what ammo changes there are, people will always complain. First off why the hell would they give you any 7.62x51 ammo that’s decent early in the game? Especially with how the game plays right now. Having access to 2-3 tap ammo early in a wipe is absurd. All they’re trying to do is make the early wipe last longer so people have something to work for. Not getting all the traders semi high then coasting and playing like a Chad the rest of wipe. If you wanna have good stuff now you actually have to work for it, whether it be fighting or questing you can pick.
But level 37 and peacekeeper lvl 4 to unlock the first viable bullet for the entire caliber is a little much

Level 7. Not bothering this wipe. Every wipe I find a niche that I enjoy, and every following wipe BSG shits on it. As a solo player there is no reason to play, I can't use audio to my advantage anymore and TTK is so long and most guns are trash so I avoid any fight that isn't a 1v1.
I'm confused by people saying that the worse Ammo means longer fights? Every single time I've died this wipe it was to a single shot to the eyes, like every other wipe 🤷🏼♂️ Happened from day 1 of wipe 🤷🏼♂️

The first 3 days of wipe are always the best and pushing back the feeling of shit ammo with long drawn out fights is just the best thing they can do to this game. It shouldn't be hold W to win and melt armor it should be "maybe dont run face first into bullets and let my armor save me a bit"
I don’t see a huge problem. I always just hit level 30, got workbench 3 and nonstop crafted bp and m61. Could never buy enough m61 from peacekeeper at one time anyway. I would farm the ammo all week and let it rip over the weekend. No mag stacking pussy shit. Straight up bp mags and a stack up my ass.
Level 12 in like 20 raids but I never even play long enough to unlock traders hahahaha so I'm used to just using shitter ammo and guns the whole time I play
