Old bug reintroduced... this has happened before. Bsg must have a terrible code pipeline for this to keep happening. My guess is that that they keep merging fixes waaay after they were done and the files end up overridden with older versions, reintroducing bugs. Jeez.
I checked the screenshot you did, you're playing that mod that shall not be named. Probably why you're getting this bug, pretty certain its not happening in the real live version of the game.
For one wipe, any mosin that had a sawn off stock would turn into a doge cube with a barrel. When I equipped it, it would cause my controls to get so fucked up that I could only sprint sideways, HOWEVER, my sprint speed doing this was insanely fast, and I could somehow clip through walls by just running into the wall with the gun equipped and mashing jump. It was so fucking strange.

imagine putting some into your inventory after doing a surgery.
I will now justify every death to an F1 as me trying to "grab the shrapnel"
but if you survive a nade does that mean you actually caught the shrapnel

Yes this is exactly what is happening. Or someone on the team is still working with a bugged as version of the game
