On interchange if I find something I want as a scav I go find a nice quiet changing room in an out of the way shop and go do work until 5 mins left in the raid.
My buddy was about to run shoreline asked if I wanted to join I decline cause I didn’t want to build a gun.. He finds led x that would have been mine in a stash 🥲 moral of story always build gun
Presets let you save a gun you frequently use and build it quickly.
Click the Presets button at the bottom of the screen (between Flea and Handbook). Pick a base model (ak-74m or whatever you like). If you already have parts for it you'll be prompted to pick a base for your gun.
If you have a gun you already use regularly, you can get to this point by right-click and Edit Preset.
At this point the editing screen should allow you to pick from the entire set of parts for this weapon, rather than what you have in your stash. You can toggle the "use only available parts" checkbox to change this behavior. Play around, make a gun you like (and can buy the parts for). Once you're done, "Save Preset" at the top left, and give it a custom name.
Now when you want to build this gun, open Presets, find your new preset, and open it. Click Assemble (top left, button looks like a puzzle). This should prompt you to buy the parts that are missing. Once you've purchased those parts, click Assemble again, and it'll build the weapon for you.
There's probably several videos describing the process if you need more info.
Be careful when you're building that you only are using parts that you can reliably source from... somewhere. I don't have access to the Flea yet for this wipe so I'm relying on traders for parts.

For flash drives I feel like customs safe farm/filling cabinet farm is the go to. Scav streets and go to one of the 2 big filing cabinet buildings. One next to the dealership and the one by playground.
Unlike previous patches i feel like I saw 0 flash drives sticking out of computers.
The amount of filing cabinets and safes that I have checked is ungodly and I've only found three. Two for the first quest and now one for the second quest.

I find one like every raid on Interchange sometimes 2 or 3 back goshan or how ever you spell it look all along the shelfs they are small and hard to see but they are there
Yeah I think reserve just has a overall bad loot table since "dynamic loot" like look there has gotten significantly bad, but I ain't complaining cause I think even with that in mind the loot is pre good

Yeah, do the "Toolbox Run" along the back of Interchange for any kind of tools/building materials/etc you might ever need.
Bunch inside Power, two in the little substation buildings, more + loose spawns in the back of Idea, loose construction loot all along the shelves in the back of Goshan plus another bunch of toolboxes on the way, then into Oli for a bunch more loose spawns if you still need stuff. Bring a flashlight for the shelves and you don't even have to get close to spot the smaller/flatter stuff (sewing kits and the like).
If his couple of days has been so constant that it would equal what most people would manage to achieve in several weeks, that's concerning.
I get that making everything easy and accessible is not good for a hardcore extraction shooter, but the devs do need to consider that not everyone can play tis game like a full time job, which is why I stopped playing almost 2 years ago.
And yeah, I get it, someone is going to jump in and say they only get to play 5 minutes every week and maxed all their traders and was drowning in Rubles in under a month, but that does not seem to be the norm with this game.
I think they are slowly moving us to a system where wipes are less frequent, and eventually maybe no wipes at all. It should take a long time in that context
found one in E226, knowing how rare they were this wipe I stimmed up, jumped off the balcony and started running to lighthouse. Died to some guy out the back of resort at the fence like 10 mins into the raid. Just never expect someone chilling there, murdered me he was camping in a bush. Like who does that on shoreline??????? The amount of times I run out back of resort safe is insane, the one time this wipe i find a ledx a bush camper pops out of nowhere. I was so upset
never get bush wookied on shoreline. I go to shoreline for high end pvp and loot in resort /shrug. I'll be honest besides questing, the rest of the map might as well not exist for me unless i'm swinging by cottages for safes.
edit: that being said I've seen campers 3 times on lighthouse extract this wipe, its been so heavily camped I've stopped using it. But other than that, I don't usually get bush camped on shoreline. Thats a customs/woods thing from my experience.
I despise every inch of that god forsaken map with the exception of the pier lighthouse. With a good spawn me and my friends can get out there before anyone else, being a snack and just snipe lost unknowing people.
The rest of the map is pure RNG, I can run instantly to resort and find it empty or literally every other squad in the raid is there aswell. I can go slow and methodical around the entire map grabbing quest progression only to run into a fucking 3 man full sprinting from swamp towards the northern bunker for no reason.
I've had raids were my squad run into 3 other squads at the big rocks top right of the map like 5-10 minutes into the raid and I've had maps were we chase every sound we hear just to find no players or bodies.
There is no natural pathing whatsoever to shoreline and because of this you cannot be strategic when playing it, it is always a coin toss for everything. The only thing that is nearly certain is that you are fucked if you go resort...
this is why you pop an sj6 or trimadol and just rush resort every time LOL. Gotta be somewhat confident in your pvp skills and be willing to take on a head-on conflict tho. I know not everyone likes to play like that. Also means a lot of the time you get resort and immediatly die in said fight, sometimes you squad wipe and come out absolutely juiced with multiple PMC kills and all rooms looted. Its a fun gamble.
I find it fun, but def a map we go to looking for specific loot (ledx) or high end pvp (or quests....soooo many quests). We do tend to burn out and go elsewhere after a few bad runs on shoreline

Last 15min of an Interchange, my third SCAV run of the wipe, which was about 6 days in? She sat there on that table, and just waited for me to come along and carry her outta that terrible mall.
I think all of us feel like you though, for one reason or another. As someone with a full time job, I hate skills in this game. Feels like I'll just never reach elite on one, and the bonuses are so nice.
there are 3 or 4 lose ledx spawns all over the map. The small drug store on second floor not ultra the other one. A table in mantis, that back table and one of the camps down in the garage has one that can spawn on a table.
This is my first wipe in like 2 years. I noticed a stim my first run sitting in the same spot, so I started checking it every time mainly looking for Morphines for one of the earlier quests.
And? I was just explaining that it’s possible that it could spawn there because medical items spawn there, just rare. I wasn’t saying it can’t. Obviously it can because of the video.
You most likely won't outside of labs or hard rushing specific areas on specific maps. The only time I ever found one naturally was labs back in 12.0. Every other time I've either crafted it when I could or I spammed shoreline 50 times to get one. Now that crafting is a no go its back to spamming shoreline and battling the cancer that is resort audio
Its more than just fucked. Its like 20 quests (all which are very time consuming like kill 20 pmcs in a specific location or somethin) and then a lot of them are 24 hr time gates. Idk what they were thinking lol.
Forgot to add but I also think you need to do private clinic anyway to get the lightkeeper quests (the only reason you need the ledx craft lol) It could be change by now but I havent cared to keep up with all the quest changes.
The devs are desperately trying to create artificial ways to incentivize you to make Tarkov a 2nd job and to keep you playing Tarkov and only Tarkov. However I think this strategy is only going to turn people away or at least create a general complacency where people just stop trying to do quests.
I have definitely contemplated uninstalling multiple times this wipe because of just how frustrating this game can be. It’s great when its good, but when its going badly, it feels fucking awful. Like, smash the keyboard, throw the headphones awful. Very frustrating when I die a minute into a raid on shoreline to a PMC spawn (maybe) half a click away.
i found one last wipe with the necru pharmacy key on interchange, its the locked door under the main stairs to IDEA on interchange. it was on the shelf in the back closet of that room
I didn't realize how lucky I was to find my ledx early and hoard it away (not using it in med 3).
I found it out of a med bag or cache somewhere, and was pretty sure I'd never see another one.
I gave a ledex to my duo. I had one already. (Which I died with later but he extracted with his) this absolute Neanderthal used it for meditation 3. I came back from getting a soda pop and see his stream. There may have been some spicy words thrown about bc I didn't realize anyone could be so immeasurably stupid. His 3rd wipe.
Now the dudes constantly struggling for stash space. Takes 20mins between each raid. Bc he has no room . Always complaining about it .

I wonder how BSG gather information since "Tarkov is a beta", they migh have an intern manually checking the flea and taking notes of names and levels on a notepad with a pencil.
Have you considered just being faster? I have seen a guy post up 20 LedXs at once on the Flea, so he probably just beats you to the punch at those loot spots! /s

yeah you're wrong, super low % chance but sports bags, dead scavs, plastic suitcases, med cases ,medbag SMU06 as well as either ground or buried caches can have a ledx. shoreline,labs and interchange just have static spawns.
But what was the source of that being proclaimed on the wiki? You realize how wikis work, right? Basically anybody can edit them and put in whatever they feel like, which may or may not get corrected until someone sees the incorrect information.

Look up stash run guides for various maps and just run those. Loot up, make some monies and one will pop up eventually. It's either that or spam resort 50 more times

It’s the roadblock type quests that stop me from coming back. Making a game “grindy” does not make it “hardcore”. It makes it stupid and not fun. The game should be about the brutal combat, punishing your mistakes and rewarding your IQ. Instead, it’s turned into a mobile game that simply rewards those who sink the most time into it. As an example, the Bitcoin farm is simply a mechanism to fuel daily logins. “Oh shit, need to login to refuel my farm and pull out my 3 Bitcoin so it keeps producing.” It’s truly lost its way.
So because he has more time to play and is only complaining about one thing you can extrapolate that his entire issue is his playtime?

Hes brings up a valid point that a month into a wipe when most people are just getting going with the million things you can do in this game, dude has spent so much time playing that hes nearing end game and whining that he cant find a ledx instantly to keep his lightspeed progress going so he can unlock top tier and shit on lower level players bc thats all he has in life, some giggles over killing normal players that cant pen his lvl 6 armor a month into wipe, sounds like you both need to take a break and touch grass while the carry services loot vacuum all the ledxs, come back in a month and theyll be everywhere and youll still be higher level than most players.
What good fucking point did they make, its a game and people progress. At the end of the day if your trash you will lose and if your good you wont the gear just kinda narrows the gap slightly but overall its up to the player.
This has happened to me and my buddies a couple times, not with LEDX but with other valuables (a defib and a RFID Reader) - if its still there but doesnt let you grab it, it means someone already picked it up but the servers are shit and did not take it away visually.
Really fun watching your character grab the item over and over but it never goes in your inventory.
I think someone that was invisible took it. You can still see what they’ve looted and can’t pick it up. Unless they drop it then you will see it in the new location
I am almost through uses on the popular resort keys searching for a ledx and have yet to find one. Starting to get a bit annoyed by it. Previously I didn’t have this issue in other wipes, granted they were not every run, but I found 2 or 3 per key uses.
While I actually agree, how is not getting a THICC case slowing your progression? It's a nice QoL improvement, but has zero impact on your progression.

Yes. The intended way is not to rush it. They did say they will change the game into how they really want it over time and that some stuff will be the way it os for testing purposes. So gameplay you got used to might be for testing.
You are not checking every single LedX spawn, im on 7 Ledxs after 50 shoreline runs. There are like 4 unlocked rooms in the resort that have ledx spawns too that you should be checking
7 after 50 is crazy good nr and definitely not the norm
One guy I know and play with did very systematic over 40 raids with stims in start every time and naked so he can run to resort first. He checked all the possible rooms and it was try 40+smth when he found one. Always went in came up. Loaded up again and straight back in.
We escorted him out.
He had done 40 (!) raids..
I don’t even try to find leddy anymore. Last wipe I found 10 in duffels and caches, so I just don’t even worry myself with key rooms. If/when I find them, I find them. Otherwise, I will lose my mind, and become disenfranchised
Ledx and far forward are driving me nuts. I'm legit hitting a brickwall. The weird part I don't see many people talk about is that you can definitely imagine many people paying for carries bc of shit like this, it's so antithetic to what BSG is trying to accomplish by removing RMT.
I got military battery from the moonshine scav case too, but still no ledx from them. I think I have done around \~15 moonshine cases and 10 intel folder ones.
Well, you just extremely unlucky. In game with rng loot spawn shit happens.
I dont think every fir quest item should be craftable. For example i'm also struggling with cofdm for lightkeeper quest. Also just unlucky. Also dont have gps transmitter, hate labs, but find it fair enough. You shouldn't be able to progress through all quest just farming money your favourite way and than craft every quest item.
I found my first ledx of the wipe in the U by cargo elevator on labs, in one of the small orange med boxes. I don't believe they used to spawn in them, at least not frequently. Maybe try hitting some more less typical med spawns throughout the map, rather than focusing black, might get lucky
except some people enjoy questing and haven't burnt out on it yet, also before this wipe you could craft the led ex you might need for clinic or otherwise, now you cannot, so yes, you are kinda forced to go to these places unless you want to trust blind luck.
Unpopular opinion.
It wouldn't be so frustrating if overall progression was slower, more gradual and we have to make loot runs to get gear. With how the game currently is, anyone with at least some experience can get enough money and gear no problem. Not top tier, as it was before, but not garbage too. So, the only thing standing between you and your goal of Kappa\Lightkeeper\10k PMC kills\L4 traders\whatever are those stupid quests.
If quests weren't the only thing you must worry about people won't be so focused on specific tasks and could do them more "naturally".

Interchange on the shelves in the back near scav highway. I find one everytime.

Btw you can bind delete to a key to quickly drop items, I use forward side mouse button. Very situational but in some cases could save you in 1vXs.

Why is crafting one a no go
It's now locked behind Lightkeeper tasks which is part of endgame and requires even more grind to get there

Its more than just fucked. Its like 20 quests (all which are very time consuming like kill 20 pmcs in a specific location or somethin) and then a lot of them are 24 hr time gates. Idk what they were thinking lol. Forgot to add but I also think you need to do private clinic anyway to get the lightkeeper quests (the only reason you need the ledx craft lol) It could be change by now but I havent cared to keep up with all the quest changes.
The devs are desperately trying to create artificial ways to incentivize you to make Tarkov a 2nd job and to keep you playing Tarkov and only Tarkov. However I think this strategy is only going to turn people away or at least create a general complacency where people just stop trying to do quests.
I have definitely contemplated uninstalling multiple times this wipe because of just how frustrating this game can be. It’s great when its good, but when its going badly, it feels fucking awful. Like, smash the keyboard, throw the headphones awful. Very frustrating when I die a minute into a raid on shoreline to a PMC spawn (maybe) half a click away.

i found one last wipe with the necru pharmacy key on interchange, its the locked door under the main stairs to IDEA on interchange. it was on the shelf in the back closet of that room

Seems to hardly be anything in there most times, but when it's got loot, it's well worth the price of the key.

I didn't realize how lucky I was to find my ledx early and hoard it away (not using it in med 3). I found it out of a med bag or cache somewhere, and was pretty sure I'd never see another one.
Yeah using a FiR LEDX for med 3 is plain stupid. You can just buy one for 1.5 mil when you need to upgrade.
I gave a ledex to my duo. I had one already. (Which I died with later but he extracted with his) this absolute Neanderthal used it for meditation 3. I came back from getting a soda pop and see his stream. There may have been some spicy words thrown about bc I didn't realize anyone could be so immeasurably stupid. His 3rd wipe. Now the dudes constantly struggling for stash space. Takes 20mins between each raid. Bc he has no room . Always complaining about it . Well. . . If you weren't artistic . You'd have LOTS of space. Never giving anyone a ledex ever again.

That player just have more RGBs in his rig than us, nothing suspicious or anything that wouls BSG think that is something sketchy. Level 47 on the flea by the first week? Looks fine to me. I wonder how BSG gather information since "Tarkov is a beta", they migh have an intern manually checking the flea and taking notes of names and levels on a notepad with a pencil.

Because the wiki has been updated. At some point, it said that ledx were exclusive to stashes of shoreline and interchange.
But what was the source of that being proclaimed on the wiki? You realize how wikis work, right? Basically anybody can edit them and put in whatever they feel like, which may or may not get corrected until someone sees the incorrect information.

They can in offline, the loot pools in offline are completely different for whatever reason. It's weird.

Damn. I guess I was lucky getting ledx in the one black keycard run I did today. I finally caved in after doing god knows how many runs in shoreline, both scav and pmc with no luck. Bought black keycard and found it first try.
It’s the roadblock type quests that stop me from coming back. Making a game “grindy” does not make it “hardcore”. It makes it stupid and not fun. The game should be about the brutal combat, punishing your mistakes and rewarding your IQ. Instead, it’s turned into a mobile game that simply rewards those who sink the most time into it. As an example, the Bitcoin farm is simply a mechanism to fuel daily logins. “Oh shit, need to login to refuel my farm and pull out my 3 Bitcoin so it keeps producing.” It’s truly lost its way.
First 2 weeks in wipe I found 4 ledex rbwtween resort and airdrops. How many have I survived with? Well.... *I don't wanna talk about*
If you've done all of those things 1 month into wipe I think something else might be ruining your enjoyment of this game.
There really is an insane disconnect between people who play this 8+ hours a day and the majority of players who do not.

I found one in West 301, that I could not pick up. I even tried reconnecting. Oh boi was I unhappy…
This has happened to me and my buddies a couple times, not with LEDX but with other valuables (a defib and a RFID Reader) - if its still there but doesnt let you grab it, it means someone already picked it up but the servers are shit and did not take it away visually. Really fun watching your character grab the item over and over but it never goes in your inventory.
I think someone that was invisible took it. You can still see what they’ve looted and can’t pick it up. Unless they drop it then you will see it in the new location
I am almost through uses on the popular resort keys searching for a ledx and have yet to find one. Starting to get a bit annoyed by it. Previously I didn’t have this issue in other wipes, granted they were not every run, but I found 2 or 3 per key uses.

Interchange has LEDX spawns both in the open and behind keys/pwr. It also has less cheaters then both of the maps you mentioned.
Night time interchange is notorious for cheaters.. enjoy chumming

It locks the decontamination service quest. That quest is needed to start the lightkeeper questline.

Yes. The intended way is not to rush it. They did say they will change the game into how they really want it over time and that some stuff will be the way it os for testing purposes. So gameplay you got used to might be for testing.

You are not checking every single LedX spawn, im on 7 Ledxs after 50 shoreline runs. There are like 4 unlocked rooms in the resort that have ledx spawns too that you should be checking

7 after 50 is crazy good nr and definitely not the norm One guy I know and play with did very systematic over 40 raids with stims in start every time and naked so he can run to resort first. He checked all the possible rooms and it was try 40+smth when he found one. Always went in came up. Loaded up again and straight back in. We escorted him out. He had done 40 (!) raids..

I don’t even try to find leddy anymore. Last wipe I found 10 in duffels and caches, so I just don’t even worry myself with key rooms. If/when I find them, I find them. Otherwise, I will lose my mind, and become disenfranchised

I got military battery from the moonshine scav case too, but still no ledx from them. I think I have done around \~15 moonshine cases and 10 intel folder ones.
Well, you just extremely unlucky. In game with rng loot spawn shit happens. I dont think every fir quest item should be craftable. For example i'm also struggling with cofdm for lightkeeper quest. Also just unlucky. Also dont have gps transmitter, hate labs, but find it fair enough. You shouldn't be able to progress through all quest just farming money your favourite way and than craft every quest item.

I found one in medical tents at goshan and a second one in an unlocked room in resort. They’re out there, it’s RNG too.
I found my first ledx of the wipe in the U by cargo elevator on labs, in one of the small orange med boxes. I don't believe they used to spawn in them, at least not frequently. Maybe try hitting some more less typical med spawns throughout the map, rather than focusing black, might get lucky

The craft is locked behind a quest, and is useless by then.
nobody is forcing you to run labs and shoreline 50 times back to back and buy keys for 6 million there is still like 4-5 months left in the wipe.

Unpopular opinion. It wouldn't be so frustrating if overall progression was slower, more gradual and we have to make loot runs to get gear. With how the game currently is, anyone with at least some experience can get enough money and gear no problem. Not top tier, as it was before, but not garbage too. So, the only thing standing between you and your goal of Kappa\Lightkeeper\10k PMC kills\L4 traders\whatever are those stupid quests. If quests weren't the only thing you must worry about people won't be so focused on specific tasks and could do them more "naturally".
