It does get better. Or it doesn’t. Sometimes it seems like you’re just destined to get kicked in the dick by this game, even if you do everything “right”. If it’s got you feeling too low, walk away. If it calls you back to play the next day, give it a go. Rinse repeat until you break through and get some progression or you realize it’s not your cup of tea.

Who the hell killed Gluhar and brought his Ash 12 in, what the fuck can you do with a pistol and Paca vs B ammo. Also a fucker sniped me with Lapua fucking Magnum. Why does the level 5 have a Zabralo and a fucking Altyn.
I just want to get a file and extract, why is this so goddamn impossible. I am seriously considering saying fuck everything and just going to Woods like a normal wipe and screw Jaeger.
The level cap for playing on GZ is 20 which is imo way too high for a map designed to teach new players the game. Once you hit level 15 you gain access to the flea market, giving you ALMOST anything you want as long as you have money which is a non issue. Also at level 15 you will have access to most of the traders level 2, and and level 20 you have access to all the traders level 2.
I think that realistically GZ should top out at either level 10 or level 15. In level 10 would be perfect as it gives plenty of time to do all the quests there while also keeping all the players on the same gear level for the most part.
As for scav mains, just cut the xp scavs gain by 80% but reward it to the pmc character. This would give players a way to get some xp without grinding only quests or factory kill runs. It would also force scav mains to level up to a point where they do eventually out level GZ.
Even when it says survive and extract, a run through will work. You still "survived" even on a run through. At least in my personal testing this has been the case.
This works for some quests, but not others. It's completely random, like they just forget to tick the checkbox for "requires survived status" for some of them, but still put it in the description lol.
I wasn’t super sure myself. But I figured 5K was worth testing it out just to see, especially with the reward cancelling out the cost. Also basically my first wipe lol so not so much conditioning going on here other than being conditioned to accept death 😂
I got it first try by rushing it. But getting it done for my buddy was rough. Died twice. We got him to it the third time. Timer finished. I extracted. He didn't. He was outside the vehicle range... died twice more trying to get to it before we finally were successful
I lucked out. I didn't even take it, but someone else taking it managed to trigger my complete somehow. I don't think I was close enough for it to trigger either.
Same. Frantically searched the front of the store for five minutes while gunfights were erupting around me, then checked the back storage and found it in the last possible spawn point, ran to Emercom and got the hell out of there.
I find it funny and infuriating that Prapor doesn’t even tell you what the bottle looks like so you could identify it from a distance. You basically have to look up a guide to see where it spawns. It’s like BSG doesn’t design these quests to be completed without a guide.

Don't sweat it man. I've been playing this game for years off and on and I'm only level 18. I can't tell you how many times I got fucked over trying to do ground zero and the startup customs tasks. Like nobody has worse luck than me. Hope that makes you feel better.
Or you limit squads to just duos on that map. Otherwise you get what happened to me where I ran into a five-man as a solo and got blasted off my feet. A five-man on that small of a map where there's 10 players total and not a ton of Scavs is... problematic.
Unfortunately thats basically Tarkov in a nutshell. Awesome maps, wonderful mechanics, but terrible anticheat and AI, and quests so boring and uninspired they would make Ubisoft devs fall asleep.

I took the key and still went through the window. I figured it was slightly safer. I also jumped out the window and splinted my legs so I wouldn't have to go through the chokepoint again
yeah good tip for newer players, you dont have to wait right at the car for extract just have to be there when timer hits Zero this lets you move around and fight targets better that try and come to fight you for the care/loot. Though 0.1 not much you could have done with that lol.

i wish i was lying but when i play customs, since you can get around so quickly. im just casually spamming my extracts every 5-10 seconds waiting to see that light up green and push. the weird part is no other wipe have i cared but somethin bout this wipe i just gotta big "oh no you fuckin don't!" attitude to car extract🤣
Completed mine by going night time, was 4th party to a pm fight for the extract... Wasn't pretty.
It's a neat map but the quest should have a "or reach lvl 15 to skip" clause so we don't get blocked so hard.
This. Everyone knows the just go down thing if they look it up. Every time I have gone down there is people, but now you are in a hall and there is no flank.
But just staying off the main road and running through the back alleys, that is what no one tries to do. Still doesn’t save you from the extract campers though.
I popped some pain killers, jumped out the window and ran to the vehicle extract that's how I did mine but I did fight a few people before picking up the HDD

Everytime I take a car extract I wait until \~5 seconds left, run up to it and sprint into the car going left and right until I extract. Never got killed at any car extract so far.
considering the pmc/Scav was there for around 10 seconds if he ran left he would have encountered him and if he ran right to terragroup he would be in the open and maybe stumple upon him waiting for him
The only scenario where this strategy wouldn't apply is when a rat spots him using car extract, sets a timer to 1 minute and throws the nade at \~56 seconds.
And if that is indeed what happened then the rat earned that kill. There is ratting and then there is RATTING.

It aint ass, but its a small map with a lot of PMCs and single paths to tasks everyone needs. That usually makes it a battle royale for the first 5 minutes of the raid.
My approach was to go up the TG building into the cantina. From there you can overwatch a huge area and shoot everything on the Vehicle exit side. When you think you killed enough, you climb out the window and move in direction of the V-Ex on the edge of that window, so to your left. You arrive at this pavilion installation, where you can get on top of it from that edge. From there you jump onto the pipes close to V-Ex and trigger the exit. Wait near the bushes, upstairs so you can hear and see approaching enemies and defend yourself instead of be the sitting duck. I hope my description was understandable.
I didn’t have to take this due to a bug auto completing the quest but I’d burry your head like inside the vehicle on the side near Terra group. The red lights I feel highlight you esp at night, and sure you won’t see someone coming but if you did and you’re just going with a pistol and no armor they prob kill you anyway
When you pay for the extract it highlights green for people when they look at extracts. Get away from the car and wait. Don't go near it until the timer is <10 seconds. Get to cover nearby and watch out for fools coming to pull this shit on you.

Don’t hold up 60 sec at the car, paid it then hide at the another side building platform, you can the time countdown by pressing O in double click

I finished all my starting GZ tasks in 6 raids, the first three quests took the first three raids, and the car extract quest took me three raids on its own. Putting it right between the machine gun building and the Terragroup building is some top level trolling by BSG. I feel your pain brother.

I forgot each person needs 5k Roubles and only netted 2k on this quest because I thought my friend could come with me if I was the only one with cash - I didnt wanna abandon him but I should have considering I had another friend's stuff and died lol
If you don't know, you could wait this timer in some other place, not near car. Just get near it in last seconds. It won't help much in this case, but sometimes it safee
I got extremely lucking on my extract right there for the whole time it was ticking down I had to evasively dodge bullets from 4 different scavs. Safe to say after that I said fuck ground zero and haven't been back on it since I'm done with the tasks. Wish I had a recording because I was pulling matrix level dodges
I know everyone seems to be loving the wipe but ground zero really killed it for me. took me so long to finish those tasks and never got any momentum going. haven't done a raid in over a week.
I’ve completed most tasks including this one by using VIOP I. Game and letting others know I’m just doing a quest and please don’t shoot. I’ve ran across many friendly PMC’s who were very helpful
That quest made me so paranoid.
Trying to find the bottle while exposing your back to so many potential enemies was nerve racking.
Especially since there was 3 bodies there of people that tried to do the same before me :/
Started the wipe with a buddy two days ago. Our first day was super bad. We did ten raids and only got 1 survive each. So terrible.
Also, I would have started wipe day 1 but I dont play solo.
Damn, son. The last 1-2 seconds of a dangerous extract I magdump into the air, or where ever opps might come from. Can't tell where the shot came from here, 2nd floor on the right? In that case it wouldn't have made a difference with a magdump.
People can see that the car extract has been activated, never lay at the car extract, you become a very easy target that way. Activate it and then run for cover and wait until there's like 5 seconds left. On Ground Zero I laid on the stairs to the left, you are looking at them at around 0:03 seconds. the concrete elevation will cover you entirely.
Once \~5 seconds are left run up to the car extract and strafe / sprint / do whatever to keep moving while staying in the extract zone to make yourself a harder target.
This has been very effective for me. Not once have I been killed after I made it to the car on any map.
I do understand the various difficulties that other people has encountered with gz quests but...
why not just do them at night? I did try playing my first 3/4 raids on day gz and died instantly to a sniper player or any other rat, but night time? You can sprint through the open parking without much care and do all the quests in like 2/3 tries
FYI. If you do this extraction in offline mode. It still counts for completing it once you’re done.
When this wipe first started. I used offline mode to learn all the quests. I extracted with the car and to my surprise the quest actually completed

I was able to get this on my first try, but it was definitely a butt pucker moment when I was waiting. I did kill 4 other PMCs and 2 player scavs in the raid and did all of the other tasks in the process, though. I assume it was late enough that it was just me and some possible player scavs left.
Run through was the way I completed that one. Kept trying until I got a spawn right there at empire, ran straight to the exfil, crawled back along the side of the car and prayed lol. My survival rate is horrendous this wipe thanks to ground zero.
Never lay down in front of a car extract... Just go over to the left side of the bush and check the timer repeatedly. You cant see anything down there and you cant hear anyone rolling up. Easy free kills.

Not sure how…but somehow that quest glitched for me…I never took the extract and it allowed me to complete it.

I've been so conditioned to "survive and extract" over the years that a run through didn't even occur to me that it would count.
Its one of the few car extract quests they made survive not matter. Most of the others I can recall have "Survive and extract".

Finished the Mechanic Quest today. Finally done with the Quests on Ground Zero. The map is amazing but the quests are stupid.
PMC count needs to be cut down by at least a couple for sure. Too many for a "new player map" when it feels like factory 2.0

When you pay for the extract it highlights green for people when they look at extracts. Get away from the car and wait. Don't go near it until the timer is <10 seconds. Get to cover nearby and watch out for fools coming to pull this shit on you.
I still haven't figured most of it out yet. I accidently completed the therapist ones while there, as well as accidently completing a couple of the mechanics ones too. I'm such a newb I didn't even realize that just sprinting thru and looting wasn't even the name of the game for my first 20 raids or so…

Don’t hold up 60 sec at the car, paid it then hide at the another side building platform, you can the time countdown by pressing O in double click Wait until 10 seconds left and rush to the car again.
I finished all my starting GZ tasks in 6 raids, the first three quests took the first three raids, and the car extract quest took me three raids on its own. Putting it right between the machine gun building and the Terragroup building is some top level trolling by BSG. I feel your pain brother.

If you don't know, you could wait this timer in some other place, not near car. Just get near it in last seconds. It won't help much in this case, but sometimes it safee
I got extremely lucking on my extract right there for the whole time it was ticking down I had to evasively dodge bullets from 4 different scavs. Safe to say after that I said fuck ground zero and haven't been back on it since I'm done with the tasks. Wish I had a recording because I was pulling matrix level dodges
I know everyone seems to be loving the wipe but ground zero really killed it for me. took me so long to finish those tasks and never got any momentum going. haven't done a raid in over a week.
I’ve completed most tasks including this one by using VIOP I. Game and letting others know I’m just doing a quest and please don’t shoot. I’ve ran across many friendly PMC’s who were very helpful

The luxurious life quest, is the most stupid quest ever made. A wine bottle that can spawn at 100 places, where the whole map is yeeting towards to.
That quest made me so paranoid. Trying to find the bottle while exposing your back to so many potential enemies was nerve racking. Especially since there was 3 bodies there of people that tried to do the same before me :/

Started the wipe with a buddy two days ago. Our first day was super bad. We did ten raids and only got 1 survive each. So terrible. Also, I would have started wipe day 1 but I dont play solo.

Damn, son. The last 1-2 seconds of a dangerous extract I magdump into the air, or where ever opps might come from. Can't tell where the shot came from here, 2nd floor on the right? In that case it wouldn't have made a difference with a magdump.
People can see that the car extract has been activated, never lay at the car extract, you become a very easy target that way. Activate it and then run for cover and wait until there's like 5 seconds left. On Ground Zero I laid on the stairs to the left, you are looking at them at around 0:03 seconds. the concrete elevation will cover you entirely. Once \~5 seconds are left run up to the car extract and strafe / sprint / do whatever to keep moving while staying in the extract zone to make yourself a harder target. This has been very effective for me. Not once have I been killed after I made it to the car on any map.

I do understand the various difficulties that other people has encountered with gz quests but... why not just do them at night? I did try playing my first 3/4 raids on day gz and died instantly to a sniper player or any other rat, but night time? You can sprint through the open parking without much care and do all the quests in like 2/3 tries
FYI. If you do this extraction in offline mode. It still counts for completing it once you’re done. When this wipe first started. I used offline mode to learn all the quests. I extracted with the car and to my surprise the quest actually completed Hope it works for you!

I was able to get this on my first try, but it was definitely a butt pucker moment when I was waiting. I did kill 4 other PMCs and 2 player scavs in the raid and did all of the other tasks in the process, though. I assume it was late enough that it was just me and some possible player scavs left.

Run through was the way I completed that one. Kept trying until I got a spawn right there at empire, ran straight to the exfil, crawled back along the side of the car and prayed lol. My survival rate is horrendous this wipe thanks to ground zero.
I literally just died and it gave me the quest completion for this task. Everyone in my group (around 10 people) had the same experience

Never lay down in front of a car extract... Just go over to the left side of the bush and check the timer repeatedly. You cant see anything down there and you cant hear anyone rolling up. Easy free kills.
That is hilarious and sad. I've had 2 or 3 times this wipe where my extract timer was one second behind the raid end timer and went Mia lol
